This is my favorite place in the DC area. It is both the most affordable and best quality massage that I've received in the US. That was amazing! I just left Pandian Health in City Place Mall and I can't believe how wonderful the experience was. First off, the prices are excellent; to put it simply, they're cheap! City Place is a no frills mall and this place, which I have passed on my way to my favorite discount shops has always peaked my interest. I am always in a rush, so I never had time to stop in and get a massage. Today was different! I had some lower back pain and needed someone to do something to relieve the pain I was feeling (my calves were also like bricks!). I left my apartment and drove to City Place specifically to give Pandian Health a try. I walked in and the woman at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. She discussed pricing with me and suggested I go for the combination package: a full body massage and foot massage for 60 minutes. When I saw the little bit of money (waaaaay under $100) that I would be paying for 60 minutes, I jumped on the deal! The sweet masseuse (I won't say her name because she's mine now!) directed me to a massage table in the back of the place and she put my purse in a bin. She immediately went to work and let me just tell you, she KNOWS what she's doing. From head to toe, she worked out each kink and knot I had. She found knots I didn't even know I had and worked those out too. She left for a few minutes, and returned with a warmed bag of sand( at least that's what it felt like) that she used as a warm compress for the knots deep in my upper thigh and lower back. Once we finished with the "body" portion of the massage, she put me in a comfy chair and began the foot massage that included an herbal bath ($5.00 extra for the herbal bath). It was amazing and I felt like a queen. She brought me a pillow during the massage, covered my eyes for me to block out the light, and even put my socks on after she was done! WOW!!! I can't say enough good things about Pandian! I am here every other week for a 30 minute acupressure massage. If you want fancy, this is not for you. If you want excellent acupressure technique for an incredible price, Pandian is for you. Especially good for shoulder and upper back pain, and runners who want muscles really worked out. read more

I love this place for regular massages and chronic muscle pains or sports injuries. They offer affordable clothing-on massages that get the job done. They don't fuss with music and ambience because they don't need to, and you can choose 20 30 40 or 60 minute options. More massage places should be like this and then people would go get them more often! read more

I had the same exact experience as the last reviewer, and liked it. Good value. While getting a table massage in the open is never going to be as relaxing as a private one, this is a good bet. They do a nice job of making their space comfortable, including putting your valuables in front of you so you can keep an eye on them, and having table massages instead of just chair massages which are the standard in shopping malls. I went here a few years ago and it felt awesome. I went last week and let's just say...it still felt awesome! So relaxing. It's not top of the line, I'm surprised City Place is still open, but it's a comfortable environment. The workers are very kind, professional and want your business. Normally, I'd prefer a screen or something up as I have my feet worked on, b/c nosy people walk by staring, but I didn't mind after about 5 minutes. I closed my eyes and forgot about the world. I have foot spasms and a lot of tension in my neck/back so I got a full body massage. Every minute went by too fast; at least I got up refreshed and a little limber. It doesn't cost too much if you have it and I don't think you should go in expecting a miracle if you have serious physical issues. I think it's more of a relaxation method and if something gets fixed, consider it a bonus. $15 for 15 minutes is the lowest and I believe the full body is $45 for an hour which isn't bad at all. I will be going back. My only preference would be to have a man as I had the first time; a little woman's touch is a bit too gentle for me. Other than that, I highly recommend. Different names, but they are in most malls in our area now (Montgomery, PG Plaza, Ballston Commons). So treat yourself. read more

This was the best treat that I have given myself in years. I had an hour massage and it loosened all the knots that I had in my neck and legs. I also had acupuncture done on my son who had a pinched nerve in his shoulder. After one treatment he felt about 80% better immediately (and that is weeks after going to the doctor who just told him to take Aleve). The acupuncturist told him he should feel better and better over the next 3 days. As the hours since his treatment have passed, he is indeed feeling better and better. We will definitely be going back soon. read more

As others have said, it's a no-frills environment in an even lower frills mall, but the service and price make it well worth going here over any fancy pants spa any day. I'm a regular and happily sing their praises. If acupressure (kind of modified trigger point) works on your body, its' a great value. A few notes/tips: -they relocated to the fourth floor of the mall, it's worth the hike. -most all of the masseuses are good, but a few really stand out, and if you find someone you like, you can ask their name and call ahead for them the next time. -they'll use lotion (seems like a blend between vaseline and pink goop) on your neck, and if that's not really your thing you can ask for no lotion before you start. -if you can spare an hour in your schedule, take it. They'll spend about 10 minutes on your feet, a few minutes on your head, a few minutes on your legs and arms, and most of the rest of the time on your back. If you take the full hour, you get $5 off plus *two* stamps amounting to 20% of a half hour massage. I - language skills vary significantly among the masseuses, and communication is sometimes difficult. Depending on who you work with, sometimes you'll need another staff member to help translate the conversation--they'll find someone quickly, you don't need to ask for it. -be sure to tip well. these folks work long hours are are there daily, and remember their windowless now-frills office is in an even lower frills mall. they will be happy and you'll still get a great value. read more

Been going here on and off for a year. If you want soft music, candles, privacy etc, this isn't the place for you. If you want those muscle knots pounded out of your system this place is fantastic. Oh my GOD! If you really need a great massage certainly you will get it here. I love the accupressure. I've been going to this place since March 2012. Let me tell you I'm not easily impressed and very picky by who provides massage services to me. Very professinal and attentive to customer needs and request These people are the BEST KEPT SECRET but not for long. I had the 1 hour combo of reflexology on my feet and accupressure done. AMAZING! I have low back pain from a disc herniation and I have sciatica on one side of my lower body which causes my foot to swell periodically. Jun is the guy who works on me and he is terrific and well trained. When he touches your pressure points he is able to immediately sense all of your tense spots and really rub it out. The best part is when he worked on my neck and HEAD. I knew that I had a bit of tension and headaches but, it felt like magic when he applied the pressure to my cranial areas and released all the tension. My head has never responded so greatly to any massage or healing therapy before. I had so much tension and stress worked off of my body that this man JUN was sweating when he finished working on me. The 1 hour is well worth the $55 plus the $5 chinese herbal foot soak. I did tip this guy $15.00 and would had gave more if I had it. Once you visit you wont stop going.
