I stopped by for lunch with the family on Sunday after looking for a new Italian restaurant to try. I came across Pane e Vino and hadn't heard of it before, so we decided to give it a go. The ambiance was nice, albeit we got there when they opened and it's a small place so it was pretty quiet. The man who grabbed our drinks was very stoic but friendly. Our server was helpful for my aunt, who is pretty picky. She did end up getting the chicken parmigiana, and loved it. The complimentary focaccia was perfect. I got an iced tea, but I was disappointed. The flavor was veryyyyyyy subtle. On the flip side, I also ordered the fusilli melanzane, and it was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. The smoked mozzarella was the perfect touch on this dish, and I would honestly come back for that alone. My family also ordered a pepperoni pizza, which my sister liked, but the crust was okay. The size was great for 1-2 people. They also ordered the farfalle I believe and my mom and grandma really liked it. I'm glad we got to give Pane e Vino a try, and I would love to come back here sometime.

My wife and I visited this Italian restaurant for the first time and we truly enjoyed the experience. Upon entering, we were met and greeted by Paul the waiter whom would later reveal that this is a family owed restaurant and he is the brother of the owner. Paul the waiter was absolutely awesome! He is extremely friendly, super funny (belongs on stage across the street at the Laugh Factory), knowledgeable of the entire menu and he made dining here a fun experience. Service from Paul and the entire staff was top notch and greatly appreciated. Now for the food in one word, DELICIOUS!! My wife had a Margherita pizza which I ended up eating half and I ordered the Penne Alla Vodka. Both food items were well prepared, fresh and tasty. I am not usually one for ANY type of pasta and/Italian food in general bcos I tend to gain weight simply by looking at the food but I made an exception and I had no regrets whatsoever. The vibe here is family, and good times. We will definitely be returning in order to try other dishes on the menu and to be entertained by Paul the waiter.

I hate to say this because I love pasta but the vongole was not good. I felt like I could taste the ocean with every bite so I couldn't finish my dish. I tried the clams and they were alright but there was no flavor from the white wine or really anything. I was offered some penne alla vodka and even that one had an odd flavor. The redeeming part of the meal was the complimentary garlic bread which quickly disappeared from my table. I pretty much ate some of the cucumber salad and then called it a night. The service was good though and we made a reservation beforehand for our large party so they wre able to seat us quickly on a Friday night.

Food and service were spectacular. The place is a bit small so I was a little concerned for our big group but we made it work. The food was pretty good as well. I'd come back for special occasions.

A restaurant/bar that tastes as good as how inviting it looks. Pane E Vino is a great place that embodies the vibe of downtown Covina. If you happen to be exploring around, this is a great Italian eatery! Food - I got the black and white pasta. It seems like this is more of the authentic pasta instead of Americanized. It's not saucy, but has the perfect amount of flavor and lightness to it Price - A little more on the pricy side. Expect to spend $20-40 a person depending on orders. Drinks - Great Italian wine selection. I personally think the Chianti Classico bottle is a great pairing with their pastas! Vibes - Great for date night, hanging out with friends, or even a solo meal at the bar with great conversations!

The nonprofit I work with was hosting a 30 person luncheon and Pane e Vino put together an amazing lunch for us. We were allowed to customize our own menu that included gluten free options as well as their famous Meatballs which need their own review because they were that delicious. The meatballs were juicy, a great size, seasoned deliciously, but still tasted clean and homemade. They really elevated the simple penne with marinara we opted for. The bread rolls were decadent and super homey, not sure but they almost tasted homemade. Pick up was seamless and everyone really enjoyed the dish and fresh Italian salad. Thank you Mark for your generous support of a grass roots nonprofit organization. If you are in need of catering services look no further. The physical restaurant is also super charming and worth a visit!

We've driven and walked past this place so many times. So today we decided to try out this place. The salmon was very delicious. I really enjoyed their tasty cannoli dessert which was a very nice ending to the meal. Very nice place and our server Paul was great

Stumbled into this place because my friend and I was craving Italian food and her go to spot was closed. There was nobody inside when we walked in so we were a little skeptical but we decided to give this place a shot. The waiter was super nice, helpful, and funny. As time passed more people started coming in to dine. We ordered the calamari, Vongole and the Piggy Pizza to share. Food was made quickly and it was pretty good. The calamari was fried perfectly and paired well with the aioli sauce. The pasta was our favorite part, you can taste the fresh clams and the wine. The pasta was al dente as it should be and we devoured the dish. Our biggest let down was the pizza, it seemed very undercooked and the toppings were still cold. You know when you pick up a slice of pizza and all the toppings with the cheese slide off? That is what happened, there was no crust at all and no grip. We could see the dough still that had no color to it, but we werent too bothered to complain about it. We ended up taking it home to go and correctly heated everything up to crisp up the bottom for a better base. Overall I would definitely come back for the pasta but can pass on the pizza

The best appetizer for sure the Burrata was super delicious! Prosciutto Pizza by far the best pizza i have ever tasted. Lasagna Bolognese was good but the Bolognese pasta was way better i think ill stick to the original lasagna recipe. The Chicken Alfredo pasta was a special request they did not have on the menu but they nailed it and it was.really good! The chicken Parmigiana was tasty for sure will definitely come back again! Only questionable dish was the cesar salad not pictured, the anchovie taste was over powering and ruined it for the whole table. Missed out on the cannoli but im definitely coming back for it. The service was great our waitress.was amazing and helped us with any special requests. The place is fairly small yet very cozy and inviting. It was empty when we arrived with another group of patrons, but as soon as we were getting served the place got packed!!! We surely arrived at the perfect time. Definitely will recommend this place to all my friends!!!

Celebrated my nephew's bday here. The staff and host was very attentive. He made our festive event a lot better with his delivery of excellent customer service! The food was an added bonus! The pizzas were hot and on time. Their taste is superb and won yhe heart of my nephew! We were delighted in the pleasant and calm environment. You have to bring your family for delightful food and ambience!

Wow The food is very flavorful. I recommend the burrata to start & seafood pasta for your entree- both are excellent. Our waiter was friendly & personable. It really felt like we were in a little cafe IN Italy. I can't wait to go back & my friends also loved it

I love Union, and I love Northern Italian food - reservation made! My partner asked if I'd looked at the menu, because so many of the dishes looked spicy, but I was like... it's northern Italian, how spicy could it be? So beware that if you're spice-sensitive like I am, your options will be more limited. Ambiance was lovely; we sat inside but there is a nice outdoor patio too. Cocktail menu had creative choices, and the To Peach Their Own was my favorite. Standout dishes: Lumache with lobster and miso cream (ate every last bite!), Torchetti with pork ragu, and the tiramisu with sea salt on top. The stars of the meal! Great: Focaccia - don't skip this to start! Good: Burrata. The peaches were a little underripe and the burrata wasn't as creamy as I expected, but the overall dish was good Service was warm and attentive - the staff took the kampachi off our bill, even though we probably should have googled "togarashi" before ordering. I'm really sensitive to spicy food and it completely overwhelmed the delicate crudo. Overall, it was a lovely date night and I'd absolutely come back! I lived in Covina for a long time and I'm happy to see it get another neighborhood gem.

I am temporarily living out of the area, but always make Eddie's one of my first restaurant visits when I return home. My favorite food is true Italian recipe based and Eddie's uses some of the finest ingredients and seasonings I've sampled. From main courses to salads and desserts, everything is delicious and obviously prepared from scratch. Visit the restaurants website and sign up for their monthly specials. These limited edition offerings are available all month long and everyone a stand-out in my opinion. Many of the staff have been with Eddie's for ten or more years and really enjoy their jobs and wouldn't want to work anywhere else. I read a review of Eddie's made recently by a patron and needed to update my review of Eddie's made several years ago. This restaurant would not be as successful as it has been for so many years without taking good care of their guests. My experience with servers has shown that they will do anything in their power to make your visit a happy one with great food and service to match. Mike, one of the managers that I have become acquainted with over the years would not let anyone leave without their being fully satisfied with their dining experience. This restaurant truly wants to have repeat customers that look forward to each and every visit. About a 15 minute ride east of Eddie's in Glendora are two sister restaurants in the community of Claremont that Eddie has also created very successfully thanks to the expertise of Eddie demanding quality food and service for each and every guest. You can't grow to this level without giving your guest what they expect from a superior dining experience. Eddie's Italian Eatery on West Foothill in Claremont has a menu similar to the Glendora location. This location is only a bit over 20 years old, somewhat new compared to Glendora. The upscale masterpiece of Eddie's is "Tutti Mangia-Italian Chophouse" located on Harvard Ave. in historic downtown Claremont. Fine dining at its best with an elegant setting and food to match. A special treat for anyone wanting the most special evening of elegant dining. It's worth the drive to experience the menu and decor. This location is just 30 years old and a very successful and popular restaurant in the college town of Claremont. When you visit any of the three restaurants that Eddie operates you will be well treated and served some of the most authentic Italian food available anywhere. I never hesitate to make a 15 mile drive to a restaurant that truly has exceptional food.

After recently reading an extremely negative review made appx 2 weeks ago about Spaghetti Eddie's,…read moreI felt compelled to share my own experience--especially as someone who has lived in this area for 50 years and has watched our community change tremendously over the decades. I remember when the Mayflower Shopping Center was thriving and nearly every storefront was occupied. Unfortunately, many businesses have come and gone over the years. But Spaghetti Eddie's is still here--41 YEARS later! That alone says something. You don't remain in business for more than four decades without doing something right. They have weathered years of change, economic challenges, and even the incredibly difficult COVID era. During that time, they adapted their operations so they could continue serving the community that has supported them for so many years. Yes, the shopping center may not look like it did years ago, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of this restaurant. In fact, on any given night, you may still have trouble finding a close parking spot because Spaghetti Eddie's is packed! When it comes to something as serious as a food allergy, however, I strongly believe we all have a responsibility to advocate for our own safety as well. If you have a severe allergy, it is always wise to double-check your order before leaving the restaurant. Placing the entire burden on a young employee--who may even be working their very first job--without acknowledging our own responsibility seems unfair. No restaurant is perfect, and mistakes can happen anywhere. But I believe a business should be judged by the overall experience it consistently provides--not defined by one incident or one extremely negative review. My family and I have always felt welcomed here. The entire staff works hard, and we have received wonderful service over the years. And I have to give a special shoutout to Manny! He is absolutely amazing at his job and someone I highly recommend. He recently suggested the mushroom soup with truffle oil--something I probably never would have ordered because I tend to stick with my favorites. I am SO glad I listened to him. It was incredible! And here's a tip: dip the bread in the soup. You can thank me later! Then there's the calamari. I order calamari almost everywhere I go, and Spaghetti Eddie's lightly cooked calamari remains one of my absolute favorites. So, before allowing someone else's negative review to make your decision for you, go experience Spaghetti Eddie's yourself and form your own opinion. Think about what 41 years in business really represents: thousands of customers, family dinners, birthdays, celebrations, first dates, longtime regulars, hardworking employees, and countless memories created around their tables. As someone who has called this community home for 50 years, I appreciate the businesses that have stood the test of time--and Spaghetti Eddie's certainly has. 41 years strong, and there's a reason for it. Give them a try. Order the mushroom soup with truffle oil, get the calamari, and enjoy your evening. Spaghetti Eddie's continues to have my support!
