This is my least favorite Panera bread location in the area. Beware of the drive thru. You will sit and wait for eons. My clothes have long since gone out of style, having waited 20 minutes for a lemonade at 1:37pm on a Wednesday afternoon. But it doesn't matter what time you visit this location--you are sure to wait. Last weekend I was here on a Saturday, mid morning. Also waited an obscenely long time just for two drinks. I don't know if they are promoting the heck out of their new menu items but the Balsamic Chicken Greens with Grains was probably one of the best salads I have ever had anywhere! Went to go pick up an order and my cup was close to the worker and I couldn't reach it or didn't know if I should, waited to ask her for the order because I didn't want to reach over and it be a problem, and she gave me attitude to grab it and a weird look. Was not happy with the way I was spoken too, if she wanted me to have grabbed it she should've put it closer to the edge or in the rapid order pick up area. Was driving from Chicago to NY and yelped this spot right before driving up. I needed a place with a drive thru and this place had it. They also had curbside pick up and brand new summer salads (just my luck). The person who took my order was informative and gave great suggestions. The new strawberry chicken salad with poppyseed dressing made me eat salads for the whole week it was sooo good and packed with different flavors. Great start to my trip. Used to be good quality food but now it's getting just as crappy ingredients as every other fast food restaurant :( The pizza used to have little delicious tomatoes on it i used to love now has huge slices of tomatoes that get juice all over and taste well, just not as good. too much sauce and cheese. And the new tracking thing where they find your table based on the pager thing they give you at the counter is unusual. The area is really nice with a lot of space for a group of people and is perfect for bible studies or study sessions. This panera is not the best one in the area. I tried to purchase a meal at the kiosk and since one was broken, there was a line for the only other one. I though the point of the kiosks were to eliminate the lines at these places. When I got there, the kiosk could not read my card, or my friends card for about 5 tries. I had to go to the actual cash register. Not fun. My meal also took forever to come out. How long does it take to make a salad? The other person I was with was already finished with their meal by the time I got mine. The food itself was good, but I waited too long for it. The other small detail is the parking. I had an hour to kill before an appointment so I stopped by the Panera Bread at Aurora Marketplace. There are several quick service kiosks in the lobby for convent ordering. I've used these at a Washington DC Panera location and they're great. The seating space is huge, and the outdoor space has plenty of seating. There are several large tables for groups, a much needed commodity when family and friends are stopping by for a coffee and a chat. This is a great indoor space for work or study. Yes, the outdoor seating is right next to a heavy traffic road, but early weekend mornings will provide some quieter times for use. The facility is very clean and the staff is friendly. Looking forward to planning a Nanowrimo writing session at the large collaboration table this November. read more

This Panera location is new! The old location that was more north on Route 59 has closed, and this Panera has taken it's place just a little further south. I'm officially a fan, because there's a drive-thru. At last - a quick, healthy, drive-thru option right near my house! I popped through on a Tuesday night about 7:30 pm in need of an easy dinner that wasn't disgusting fast food. Like all Paneras, the menu is huge and there are many options to choose from. I typically am a "you pick two" gal, so I stuck with that. I got their seasonal roasted turkey, cheddar, and apple sandwich (half). This was a delicious combination that tasted like a cheese and charcuterie board in my mouth -- roasted turkey, Vermont white cheddar, fresh apple and cabbage slaw, arugula and mustard horseradish sauce on cranberry walnut bread. Yum! For my cup of soup I chose the chicken-noodle which I'm always a fan of. As I'm sure you know, meals come with either an apple, baguette, or chips, so I went with the chips. It's nice knowing their ingredients are clean, raised responsibly, and rich in nutrients. I have to admit it took about 13 minutes to go through the drive-thru, but I know they just opened so I'm sure there are some kinks they still need to work out in regards to the flow of things. I walked in prematurely before the estimated 2:04pm time and headed straight to the Rapid Pick-Up area. At first, there was a slight confusion on the orders since they thought I was picking up the order that they had ready (not mine). However, I ended up waiting only a few minutes because one of the staff was hustling the employees to get my order ready asap. They're really living up to the "Rapid" part. This is a newer location. Been here many times as it's only 1.5 miles from my house. The staff has always been friendly. They have a drive through and offer delivery during certain times. Great outdoor seating and plenty of room inside. Always nice and clean and the employees even offer to take your plate for you once your done. Great touch! This is the closest Panera to my house and I love it! I came in with my mom and Lauren helped us at the register (petite girl with long blonde hair). She was very helpful in informing us how would could use our MyPanera points and when they were available until. I ordered a half of a Strawberry and Poppyseed salad.. SO GOOD. I paid 50.00 for myself, my son and daughter. All of our breads were burnt!! So disappointed. Also the chicken rice soup didn't taste like the normal panera chicken rice soup. But at least I could eat it. My daughter only at half her sandwich took the burnt part off but trashed the other half. All off our baguettes were burnt also.
