I ordered a breakfast sandwich in which I am used to it being prepared (at other restaurant chains) sloppy and none tasteful, however this sandwich was great, all fresh ingredients! I love the strawberry Fresca basil with fresh strawberries lemonade. They have in the summer. So many times they r out of fresh basil, and u don't know until u pull up to the checkout window. I miss the heyday of Panera. The bagels I ordered from Panera were so tiny, it looked like a mistake batch. They used to bake most of their stuff on site, but the company decided to do away with that program and now the food is not as fresh. The prices are high and the portions have gotten smaller. They have one brownie bite for two dollars, you can get an entire container from the grocery store a few bucks, so why so much here? And I understand why they took away the caffeinated lemonade, but why not just replace it with un-caffeinated flavored lemonade? They used to have more interesting drinks, now it was just Pepsi products, and not even good ones. This used to be the place I would hang with my kids, but even before they rebuilt this one, it was not as good as it used to be. If you want light cream, go inside and do it yourself. We ordered an iced coffee with light cream and received a cream with light coffee. We also tried the new Fromage Croissant Toast and it was terrible. There was no garlic aioli on the sandwich, it was cold and the arugula was wilted. Not good at all! I really like Panera Bread and I go often in Rochester. When I walked in the kiosks were down with no signs. We had to order at the register and they said we couldnt use the panera phone number for points. We got pagers and took a seat. The food didn't take forever. However, I noticed that there was a line of 5 people and no one at the register. The gentleman there had to put signs on the kiosks because people kept asking. No one was helping him. The dishes were all stacked high all over the trash can. He had to walk over to empty it. I am not sure why he was the only one doing all of this. The food was good though and no issues there. I just feel like there are some management issues or issues with how they handle things. read more

I am not a big Panera Bread fan. I am growing more fond of this Bloomfield Hills, Telegraph location. It is a good location to work. There are plenty of tables, inside and out. Plenty of light with the big windows. The food is not my style, so it limits the "Dining" experience. Maybe I have not found the things on the menu I prefer. The restaurant is clean. The staff is generally friendly (realizing they are dealing with the full gamut of the general public). Every time I come here it takes forever. Idk if it's understaffed or what is going on. They are nice. However, little things could be helpful and boost your business Such as communication - if you need a minute to take my order don't just look at me or be silent on the drive through headset. They've gotten my order wrong twice now. The first time they didn't include my sides (which isn't a huge deal) but the second time I ordered a soup and sandwich with a baguette as a side. They gave me a salad instead of my soup and chips instead of the baguette. When I took it back they made it right and gave me a free bakery item which was appreciated. This place was AWFUL. If I could give less than one star, I would. Food was bad and not like any Panera's I've been too. Barely any dressing on salad, etc. But the service was even worse!
