It's been a minuteeee since I've been to this Panera! And by minute I mean at least 3 years. Nothings changed about this classic spot- It still serves up it's usual soups, sammies, and salads. It's still filled with ladies lunching together, business meetings being had, and friends catching up. Other Panera's have had the modernize facelift, but not this one just yet. I met my grandma for lunch and opted for the 'pick-two' because let's be honest, that's the best deal! Soup was a must because it was freezing outside so I got the French onion and it hit the spot. For the sandwich I chose the toasted frontega chicken. It comes on their black pepper focaccia (so yum), filled with pulled chx, fresh moz, basil, tomatoes, and a chipotle aioli. Our regular location for dining in or take-out, our most recent order was packed well, everything was correct, and the food was hot and fresh. They can get backed up when it's busy but ordering in the app is the move for me. We had ciabatta cheesesteaks (love the sweet zesty peppers!) this time. Dining in can be a mixed experience - sometimes they can't keep up with keeping the dining room clean, so tables are dirty, etc. but it is a really busy location. read more

Please be aware that "grilled chicken" on a sandwish is chopped up chicken that you'd more likely see in a chicken salad. It's impossiple to pick up a grilled chicken blt without all the chicken falling out. Also french onion soup has what looks and tastes like rehydrated onions. Gone is the crusty bread atop the bowl with melted cheese. Switched to a couple of croutons. Sorry to say the quality of food has gone down. As for the facility.....PLEASE clean the carpeting, and wipe the tables more frequently. There wasn't a crumb free table at 2:10 in the afternoon????? read more

Picked up an order and totally left off the chicken on a full sized, nearly $12.00, Greek with Chicken salad. Question: How do you do this?! It's so unfortunate, the lack of job attention here. Of course, if you're not checking over your order on a regular basis, you're likely to miss this by the time it's too late. Additionally, they have or had this "pony tailed" manager who likes to argue with Panera's customers. Just an off and on again place you can't really count on. I don't regularly post complaining but here goes. After church this morning, I was craving a cinnamon crunch Panera bagel. We went to the nearest store, Menomonee Falls. They didn't have any bagels but the Everything and sesame seed. When I asked the girl she said it was an hour a while ago. She said she would ask a manager how much longer, she never did. We walked out. Plan B, order on the app from the Brookfield store. The order was ready as expected. Got home cut the bagel, spread the cream cheese, took my first bite......awful. Tasted the cream cheese thinking it was bad, nope. Took another bite, awful. The flavor was reminiscent of musty, sour yeast. I tried two more to see if they were the same. Yep just as bad. But I figured out the flavor, the acidic taste in your mouth after you vomit. Seriously.I called the store, the woman who answered the phone was very pleasant and helpful. She stated recently they changed how they were baked. I explained how they were inedible. She refunded our entire order and was apologetic and understanding. I did email corporate and I will wait for their response. I will not be returning to Panera for a bagel any time soon. Very disappointed! read more

Stopped to get an Arnold Palmer on a hot day. Had to wait about 15 minutes for one person ahead of us to place their order. When we get to the fountain drink area, there's not quite enough iced tea and only a splash of lemonade remaining. There were no lids for the cups and the counter around the fountain drinks was filthy, and garbage was overflowing from the receptacle below. We asked the manager for help and he brought lids, but the tea and lemonade never appeared so we left. The tea was not even good, not sure if it's always bad or if it was just sitting there all day and we got the bottom of the barrel? Never again! read more

Extremely disappointed with the decline in food quality ( half tuna salad sandwich was mostly bread, approximately 2 TB of tuna salad, one lettuce leaf, and 2 slices of pale tomatoes. I could order half a tuna sub with extra tuna for virtually the same cost at Cousins. Bakery sold out by 1 pm. Case empty. Sadly, what struck me most was the filth in the women's bathroom with feces on the outside of the toilet, dirty walls,, dirty floor, overall smelled dirty. I can only imagine what the kitchen must look like which causes me to pause. The entire establishment needs a deep clean, better organization, better food for the cost. It's not the Panera of a year ago. Located in Brookfield at a central hub location, I expect more for our community. Clearly, attentive management is lacking read more

I normally try to post positive reviews, but I was a bit surprised at the dining experience tonight at Panera. They had been closed down for indoor dining (Covid caution) for the last month or so and finally opened up about a week ago. Due to their previous "cautiousness" of closing done during Covid pandemic, the condition of the dining room tonight was appalling. We arrived around 5:15 PM and it wasn't busy. We received our order promptly and the food was very tasty. We missed Panera food! There were only 2-3 other occupied tables, and it didn't seem busy with carry outs, so the messy tables should have been taken care of before we sat down or even while we were there dining. There was one table filled with plates, bowls.... that the patrons should have cleared themselves, but hadn't. It remained as such. Other tables had crumbs and bits of paper on them. There was also bits of paper and crumbs on the floor. I hope they will again hire someone at this Panera to keep their dining room in appropriate clean order. The cleaning between patrons---would certainly be more reassuring to their customers, especially during the "pandemic". Again, our meals were great, but neatness and cleanliness--not so much---sadly! read more

Enjoying a late dinner after a full day of overdue yard work. I Ordered a pic to sandwich and mac & cheese. They were clearly in shutdown mode cleaning and getting ready for a big day tomorrow. I stopped at the big goods area which had been sitting out all day and asked if they had the ability to offer a discounted prices on any items still on display. This Panera has let me down time and time again. I am a student at the near by school so I often rapid pickup orders from here and it is never right. I once had them prepare my order 3 hours early and leave it out on the pick up shelf for me, and no surprise it was cold and no good. Today I ordered a frozen lemonade and when I picked it up (I was even early) it was completely melted and separated, so when I told a worker she said very sassy "I JUST put that one out" instead of fixing the problem. And of course when I drank it, it was completely watery and a let down especially when these drinks are very expensive to begin with. Really big fan of Panera. Not a big fan of this location. We ordered a sandwich and customized it to not include certain ingredients. They made the sandwich wrong which is ok, it happens. They re-made it and once again made it wrong, which we are ok with because they are busy or whatever it may be. When they were re-making it again the cooks kept staring at us like it was our fault. They were not happy with us but we did nothing wrong. We ordered and payed for it correctly so we expect it to be correct. It says on our receipt "No Onion, No Tomato, No basil". I am so lucky to have this panera bread 5 minutes away from my house. Located in a prime location at the heart of Brookfield. I am an unlimited sip club member (which I also recommend) so I find myself at this panera numerous times each week. The presentation for each meal is top tier compared to other panera's i've been to. I recommend stopping by this panera for a quick brunch in the morning where you'll find a bunch of elders sitting with their coffee or later in the evening when a bunch of students are tucked away studying :) read more

The food here is AMAZING especially their mac n cheese. I will say that it is a little bit pricy, but it is totally worth it. This is a much nicer Panera than the Mayfair location (which is a filthy, disgusting shithole BTW). This location is clean, well maintained and you'll actually be able to find a spot to sit. The food is the same at all the Paneras which is to say, just fine but nothing special. However, they do some things that I am a big fan of: *Posting calorie counts in plain sight. I find it does help me stick to better choices. *Offering a "power menu" which is low-carb and healthy *Giving me a choice of 4 kinds of iced tea to pick from including hibiscus and berry Panera is great for a quick lunch or if you're looking for something on the lighter side. FYI - this location also attracts lots of families, so be ready to sidestep a few shrieking toddlers on your way to a table. read more

Panera always is a great spot for lunch or dinner! The food is very good and the bread is delicous. It can be a little pricey, but if you sign up for their rewards card, you can get discounts from time to time. I get the choose 2 and usually get a turkey sandwich and a bowl of Broccoli Cheddar soup - both are very good. They also have a nice selection of drinks besides just soda. I come to this Panera all the time to do school work and every single time I'm here, whether it's 2pm or 7pm sections are closed off and someone is always vacuuming. People come here to work chat and eat. No one wants to hear a vacuum constantly running. I get it if it's 45mins before close and you wanna get started on cleaning go ahead. But 4 hours before close when the carpet isn't even dirty disrupts customers who are trying to work. And pushes everyone into a little corner to sit and do there work. read more

I recently had the small soup/salad combo delivered to me at work for lunch (broccoli chz/ green salad). I got really ripped off on the salad end of it...it was less than half full....so I maybe had about 5 bites of salad. I used to be such a Panera fan-that sadly changed after my last trip. The food tasted fine-the smoked turkey sandwich was decent-though very salty. The problem was the place itself- 1. The sandwich making area was littered with food scraps, dripped sauces, food on the floor...looked like a mess. It wasn't busy-so it seemed like it would have been reasonable to clean it up, especially since the food is made in view of the customers. Subway is much cleaner-I'd expect more from Panera. 2. If you get soup, you may as well save yourself the money and go to the grocery and buy a can. Maybe I was naive to this before, but seeing a worker take a single serve bag of soup out of the microwave and pour it into a bowl blew my mind. Maybe others aren't as surprised by this as I was...but it lessened the fresh feel of the restaurant to me.
