Most hyped up piece of shit restaurant ,if you'd call it that, I'd ever been to. first of all the lady in the front very rude from the beginning. Making me move out of the line because she had rushed me into filling out a form on my phone whilst trying to choose what I wanted to eat for lunch. Then when our food had arrived the sandwich I had ordered was a mess, just 2 big chunks of turkey meat with a scrawny piece of bacon in the side, falling apart. The cesar salad tasted gritty and just over all sour and gross. If the food wasn't bad enough the seating was the cherry on the top! A little ass round table not even big enough for one person let alone two WITH food platters! If you don't have the space for people to eat at a place then don't reopen. I am so happy with the way they handle errors! I had ordered my daughter a bread bowl with French onion soup along with the rest of the family's orders to be delivered. Upon arrival I noticed that they had delivered all the other food correctly but the French onion was only a cup and no bread bowl. We called to inform them of the error and they not only let us keep the cup of soup, they delivered us a whole new bowl of soup, with the bread bowl, and a cookie as an apology. My family loves eating at Panera Bread, but I can't bring myself to go back to this location. They forgot to include part of our drive through order today and I only remembered to check because they have messed up our orders before. When we got home, one of my kids' apples was rotten. My salad had large "end pieces" of cabbage and lettuce. This store has a great location, but the service/quality is almost always bad. I am seriously aggravated that I even have to give this restaurant a single star just so that I can write this review. BEWARE of this Panera Bread. Especially the Drive Thru. The staff is guaranteed to get your order WRONG! Not some of the time, nearly every single time we order here. It is especially aggravating when I check the receipt to confirm that I ordered correctly, they just can not fulfill the order properly. The only reason we have gone to this location for the last few years is because it is the healthiest choice on 23mile and gratiot amongst all of the other restaurants. Manager was VERY unprofessional and rude to me. She went over to the pick up counter and tried to give me my order, that had been sitting there for almost an hour! I said you cant expect us to eat that, its been sitting there. This manager had the nerve to say (to my face!) "well that is on YOU". I was floored. The soup that she supposedly "re-poured" was not very hot at all and I doubt if she did give us fresh soup. The bowls certainly were not. I don't know managers name because I got out of there quick. Well, as food restaurants go, I'm pretty forgiving, but in this instance . I'll have to say NOPE. Floors are filthy with food napkins, dirty silverware and tables that have not been cleaned off and a coffee filler stand that is dirty and no milk creamer. Then as I cashed out for my large coffee I was asked for Tip, why what service was provided ? did they prepare my coffee, take my order, and then bring it to my dirty table? no So I elected no and was given attitude. My daughter and I went in Saturday about 6:45pm and ordered our favorite pick-2; Turkey Bacon Bravo and Broccoli Cheddar soup and my daughter was excited that they had a salt bagel because they're usually gone first. The lady taking our order told us they're out of Tomato Basil Bread (the bread used on the Bravo sandwich) and asked if we'd like to substitute. Disappointed, My daughter decided it wouldn't be the same and opted for a different sandwich while I substituted the bread. While waiting for our order to come up, the server tells me, "we're out of baguettes, would you like a side of potato chips?" Um NO! Chips with our soup doesn't even sound appetizing! I told her it's a little ridiculous to be out of all the bread and asked to cancel my order and give me a refund. They called the snotty little evening manager who proceeded to sift through my receipt, she offered no apology nor a resolution to my complaint but instead, still going through my receipt asks, "do you want to keep the bagel?" Ok, It's a Panera... a chain, a bread store... BUT it's the staff, service and quality that makes a place. We've always been treated well, the portions great and the employees very conscientious. Even when I''ve ordered with so many substitutions they must think they are on a tv show, the staff has been cheerful and made things correctly. This location is also one of the cleanest and I've been to at least 20 different locations. I've had to 'loiter' there 3 times in the last year while my car was serviced, while doing a project, and for a meeting and while I've been concerned, the staff were not. Dear Panera Bread staff of Chesterfield, Michigan, I have greatly enjoyed the staff's warm, welcoming environment from this local establishment where I usually study online for my master's degree for long hours. The servers have always been on their best behavior every time I arrive, such as making the effort to remember my name despite that they would have to serve hundreds of customers on an everyday-basis. I am also fan of equal opportunity, which is reflected on the diversity of the employees whose backgrounds differ from each other. Some of the servers that I managed to converse with, even if it's a very short time, shared a little information about themselves that helps me better understand their goals, aspirations, or pursuit of a higher education. One can be the time when one server shared her accomplishment of receiving an acceptance letter from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, another's desire to work out at the gym with a partner, and another's passion to travel overseas. I have used Panera countless times for catering needs at locations all across Michigan with little to no issues. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had! I used the order online option as it can be easier to manage larger catering orders. I placed my order two days in advance for a client lunch meeting to be delivered to the client between 11:45 - 12:00 pm. I received the standard confirmation emails after ordering and before delivery. 12:00 pm comes and lunch has not arrived yet. I called the cafe location, after getting a busy signal I tried again. Spoke to a manager regarding the issue and was told that order was being delivered at that moment. Still no lunch arriving. About 10 minutes later received call from the delivery driver and that she was just now leaving and her GPS said it would be another 15 to 20 minutes until she would arrive. At this point it was about 12:15 so the order is currently 15 minutes late, The order ended up being 35 minutes late... This is unacceptable! I would be upset if this was just an order for my lunch break, but this was for a client meeting! I called this location back and informed them of what the driver had said and expressed my frustration. The manager was very understanding over the phone but would have to get back to me as he had to get with his General Manager about what they would be able to do for us. Received a call back around 2 pm from management. They again expressed their apologies and agreed that it was entirely unacceptable. They offered 20% off a future purchase or 20% off this purchase, saying that was the best they could do for us. I took the 20% off this purchase. The management was accommodating post fact, but in does not resolve the issue at hand. I would think twice about ordering delivery or catering from this location until they learn time management and how to deliver on time. read more

My boyfriend and I went there last night for some late night soup. I ordered the pick 2 with a bowl of soup and a chicken caeser salad. While waiting in line another customer came from her seat, back to the counter complaining that whatever she had with noodles was old and hard. Not 1 minute later another customer came back up and politely asked the girl to microwave his soup BC it was cold. She promptly told this old man she couldn't and said there was a microwave by the coffee.... I was shocked. She was super rude when this guy wasn't even complaining, didn't fix the situation and he had to go find the microwave and do it himself! Why on earth is there even a microwave for customer use? I spent $30 on a couple shitty bowls of soup and once I got home I found that I didn't get any chicken on my salad and the croutons were so stale I picked them all out. Last week I ordered the you pick 2, broccoli soup in a bread bowl and half of a Sierra turkey sandwich. I dined in. The soup was filled to the top of the bread bowl and the sandwich was excellent. When I went today I ordered the exact same thing only this time to go. The soup didn't even fill half of the bread bowl and how you can call that half of a sandwich I don't know because clearly it is a quarter of a sandwich. The girl behind the counter making the food was rude especially when she announced they were out of baguettes and we could either wait 15 minutes for more or choose something else. I like this location. Staff is prompt and friendly. Typical Panera setting...a bunch of kids taking up entire tables on their laptops with nothing but a drink on hand. They do have a fair amount of seating and the newly added drive through window is a bonus (although I feel you get less food when carrying out than you do when eating in). Their phone app rapid pickup service is nice. Order on the way home and pickup at the window...can't be more convenient than that. will continue to come here. read more

my sister-in-law have been going there for about a year. I didn't mind the long lines,the food is good, I like the cream of chicken & clam chowder.But, our last visit did it for me. The people working there are pretty were not very good. One girl in particular was just a horror. She was picking up trays and I said to my sister-in-law that the carmel latte I ordered had no carmel in it, so she said to the girl,Will you please bring this back and have them put carmel in it as it was ordered. Well, she slammed the trays down. went back to the manager and started throwing a hissy fit! I went over to the manger and asked was that about my latte, She said the girl was just venting over it. I said, well she shouldn't vent where the customer could see her. The manager said she would speak to her--the girl came out of the back room and rolled hr eyes at me and snickered--right at me in front of the manager. Well. I let the manager have an ear full. I told her there were a lot of young women looking for jobs and believe it or not, that girl came back right in front of me and the manager and did the same thing,eye roll & all.
