Last minute lunch spot. Panera is not my fave for much but we were stuck for a lunch place open when we needed it. The food is fine. Nothing spectacular. Service today was good sometimes I go and there's no one there to take your order. Got lucky today. I had the pick two, French onion soup and half Mediterranean veggie sandwich. The soup had good flavor but no cheese or bread or any kind on top. The sandwich was fresh and full of veggies. I wouldn't get the soup again. My friends had the chicken back sandwich which also came full of chicken and was tasty she said. Other one had broccoli cheddar soup and caperese sandwich. Both she enjoyed. We also tried the cinnamon roll. The filling is good but the actual roll was kinda dry. Like I said food was fine . Didn't take too long to get. I do feel this location needs some TLC . Sandwich was decent but the restaurant is not clean. Came in for breakfast the other morning. Tried one of the breakfast sandwiches, which was fine. I was so distracted by how unclean everything was. I was there at 7:40 so it was clearly left over from the night before. The tables had crumbs on them. The drink machine didn't have ice and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. When we received our food, half of my order was incorrect, as I ordered a soup and sandwich combo. They gave me a salad in place of the soup. When I went and asked about it, the guy told me that they were out do the soup I had ordered. So, instead of calling me up to let me know and ask me what I would like instead they just chose something for me. My husband was getting our drinks and while he was actively at the machine using it an employee came out and started using it instead of waiting their turn. The machine only had enough space comfortable for one person to stand at. It was the worse experience we have ever had here. Very disappointing. read more

Slightly above average nice looking Panera bread location. Plenty of windows that also have sunscreen mesh. Makes for a very inviting atmosphere and one that is super clean and with beautiful wood tables. Bus your own tables. Consistently solid hardy food offerings That one expects from Panera tends to be on the healthier side. The French onion soup though a little different was super tasteful with. Miss having the cheese melted on the top but cheese was melted within the broth which again was superbly tasty. Croutons in the soup serve as the bread. And that has the offerings that come along with it or one of the three Apple, chips or French baguette the ladder is what I had. Bread is always fresh and with wonderful texture. Like a stone ground mustard girlfriend's turkey sandwich had a stone brown mustard on it she wish it would have come with a little more but sandwich was good and her soup was good in tasty and hardy along with being a little salty. Asked to speak to a manager. Was given no other option. When I asked for regional manager contact info, I heard a voice in the background saying they could not give out that info. When asked who person speaking was, was finally told it was the GM. Spoke to someone who stated she was the GM. She stated could not do anything further. Asked again for regional manager contact info. Was told they could not give it out but stated they would have manager contact me. Had similar issue here prior. No resolution. Am not expecting resolution this time either. Orders here are consistently wrong. Staff is either not empowered to make things right or simply don't care about fixing things. I've been a few times since this location opened. The parking lot is rather small so I always get one of the last spots or end up parking across the way in front of moes. The overall look of the restaurant is nice and well organized. I think the service could be better. The staff isn't the friendliest when ordering. But I deal with it so I don't have to order via the kiosk. My sandwich as part of the you pick two was a bit burnt all over so that's disappointing when you order to go and get home to see it's burnt. When it comes to soups and sandwiches, Panera Bread is usually where I enjoy going. At this particular location, I stopped here in passing. When my girlfriend and I are on a road trip, also depending on where we are going, we like to stop at Panera Bread. We are proud members of Panera Bread, and we enjoy using our Panera cards to get special discounts. When we are craving sweets, we like that we have the option of getting the 99-cent pastry available with a lunch entrée. The soups are delicious, and the variety of sandwiches are excellent. I especially love getting the Broccoli Cheddar Soup and the Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich. The salads are also good, especially the Fuji Apple Salad the Mediterranean Bowl with Chicken. I like to top off my meal with a Strawberry Smoothie. When we got our orders, everything came out as we ordered them. We were pleased with our meals. This was a good stop. read more

I like the newness of this location. The manager did a good job to help keep things moving along since it was one the cashieers first days. I had the you pick two and an iced beverage. The 10 vegetable soup is hearty and the hint of lemon was nice. I also liked the tuscan chciken sandwhich I ordered as well. I tried the blood orange lemonade and it was too watery. On June 24th, my daughter and I ate at this Panera Bread. It is not our normal spot, but we were passing by, so we stopped. Later that night and the next day, my daughter and I had minor stomach aches, so I came to Yelp looking to see what the reviews were, and they are HORRIBLE! I wish I came to Yelp first. Although most customer complaints are about missing items or the long wait, what caught my attention was the data from the Health Department intelligence (HDI). Those standards that were not met, can absolutely get people sick! Panera Bread keeps failing the same health concerns and that is worrisome. My family met some friends at the new location in Clemmons. The restaurant was completely filthy. The cashier and manger were rude. Tea had been spilled and a wet floor sign was sitting out. I wish i could give no stars. I live close by this place and have gone multiple times and it's always a horrible experience. I went this morning because they have a healthier breakfast. First we waited 20 minutes for our order which is fine they make it but then they gave us no bacon on a BACON egg and cheese sandwich and i added bacon to the other and none. We went back through the drive thru where we were completely ignored and had to go inside. The manger was then very rude rolling her eyes when we tried to be nice about not having the correct food. Placed online order for rapid pickup (inside). Arrived 5mins after pickup time due to traffic. My name wasn't on board for meal being prepared or already prepared so I went up to counter to ask. Was rudely told to just wait until name is called. After waiting another 10mins I went back to counter and said it was way past my pickup time so wanted to make sure order didn't get grabbed by someone else. They grumpily went to go look at all the to go bags. Guess what??? Mine had been sitting there the whole time. Last bag in the line up. They begrudgingly handed me the bag with a scowl and some sort of grumbled statement. So got home (6mins away) and food is stone cold. Grilled cheese was like a brick and soups where cold. If getting orders correct 50% of the time is the threshold for excellence, then Panera Bread in Clemmons put on a virtuoso performance today. Nine of my colleagues and I ordered for rapid pickup. Things were going great until one of us tried to pick up the order. One of the orders was missing. When my colleague asked about it, a Panera employee rudely stated "you need to get me a confirmation number!". The discourteous tone was totally improper. A flurry of texts ensued to get the number. Once obtained and provided to the Panera employee, the order magically appeared on the screen--it was in their system the whole time! Ok. Computer glitch. Maybe. It happens. But when the food arrived at work and we dove eagerly into our bags, we discovered more errors. - one side order was incorrect - A topping was missing from mac n cheese - Greens were missing from a sandwich - One sandwich was completely missing. One person had ordered a sandwich for himself and one for another coworker, but only one sandwich was in the bag. The ticket had both sandwiches on it. This is not the first time this has happened. If this particular store was not a part of a major chain with its deep pockets and loyal following, they would have gone out of business long ago. I will give credit where credit is due: their food can be quite delicious. I loved my smoked turkey and havarti sandwich. The taste of the food is 4 star worthy. But rude customer service? Next thing you know - it's $30 for two people to have sandwiches and soup. I have given this place a try twice now...both times have been horrible. The first time I had a delivery placed in which they forgot 4 things from my order...I had to chase the car down to get them to come back. When the driver finally saw me he said he would go and get the rest of my order...but guess what they still did not bring the entire order the second go around. To me it is very clear that they do not read the tickets for their orders and do not care about what the customers pay for. Today I drove over and made an order to go in which they sloppily put together my sandwiches. They forgot the cheese in one of them and in another where I asked for avocado to be added (which costs extra) they just put a quarter of an avocado into a bag...not in the sandwich. I can't believe this place. It was not busy at all there were like three people in the store and 7 staff members... you seriously cannot cut up an avocado and put it into a sandwich or add cheese. All of the people in this store need to get a new job because I do not think this Panera will be open for much longer. I have had issues at this PB several times over the past couple years. They are painfully slow and usually get something wrong with the order. I have had issues at this Panera in the past but today was the worst. We pulled into the drive thru and was told a 20-25 minute wait. We went ahead and ordered. Told they were out of bananas for the smoothies and out of strawberries for the strawberry salad. We waited and waited, 48 minutes to be exact. One of our salads didn't have chicken, three were missing the extra dressing. The sandwich should not have Onions or tomatoes and it did. The smoothies were melted. I sent the sandwich back. They made a new one and it still had onions and tomatoes. The third was finally right. The service was slow, and not accommodating, the food was inaccurate multiple times. We went to this Panera Bread on a way home from WS after a doctor procedure. I was starving as I hadn't eaten in 2 days and usually love Panera, so hubby suggested it as we passed it on way to Cracker Barrel. When we walked in no one was at front, then a girl came---but was texting or something on her phone?!?!? We ordered food and sat down. Hubby went to get our food as I sat waiting (Just got out of anesthesia so still a little groggy). There was a group of young college kids (about 12-15) who were squealing and crazy loud, but that was ok----until they took pics and one of them squirted the folks......and me......with a water gun. After I realized it was just water, I was ok---but it continued quite some time and might should have been addressed by some one in charge. The food was quite yummy, but then hubby took our plates/trash and a man was changing the trash bag. Hubby spoke nicely to the guy who got really ugly with him......unsure why that had to happen?!?!? Visited this restaurant Saturday evening (3/18/23) around 7:00 pm. Absolutely no one behind the counter and had to order using the kiosk. One of the four was not working. My wife ordered French onion soup and a Caesar salad. No croutons for either. Had a person been at the counter, we could have discussed toasting a piece of bread and cutting it up. I had the pepperoni mozzarella melt. It came without being cut and no utensils to do it myself. The floors needed swept and dirty dishes were piling up at the trash bin. They don't seem to have proper staffing yet, still charge the same as if they were. Doubt we'll be back. Oh... $3 for each soft drink in the small cups they gave us is outrageous. read more

This panera bread location is always dirty inside, the sanitation score is not good, and they have messed up my order a few times. Some side items are often forgotten in a larger lunch order. It's always packed here during lunch, so maybe they don't have enough employees to handle the usual lunch crowd. I don't know. They need to get it together though. I generally like panera, but not this location. I was given a fork with leftover food debris on it when I dined in once. Ew. 9/10 times that I come to this Panera location my order is messed up or I'm waiting an absurd amount of time for my food. They don't ask what kind of side I want and just assume bread. The food is never consistent (ex. I usually get the tomato soup. Some times they put croutons in it which takes up room for soup and are so soggy that I can't even enjoy them. Other times they fill the soup to the rim which is what Id like to see.) Im currently sitting In my car waiting on my curbside order that the app said was ready ten minutes ago.
