I've been here quite a few times since opening - and it started out great! Unfortunately, this location's quality seems to have slipped compared to other Paneras I visit. Last time I went here on my own, I ordered the BBQ chicken Mac and cheese. Sounded great so I said why not. First, the prices are higher than other Paneras (its a tourist area so ok). When I got the food, the quality was extremely subpar. Bread was hard as a rock, and there was chips drizzled in the mac and cheese? BBQ sauce was too spicy. We have been to many different Paneras and this is the absolute worst. We've been to the Champion's Gate Panera four times and we have never had the correct order. Every single time, something is missing from our order. The last time we were there one soup was missing and a bread were both missing. The time before that the bread was missing and twice the chips were missing. Now we'll drive out of our way to go to the Panera at Celebration, Florida which has been excellent. We love Panera bread and eat in them usually twice a week. But now that we have found out that they would not hire a young adult with Down's syndrome, we will stop our visits. The thing that is really ashamed is that this young lady has 13 years experience working in another Panera Bread in another state. I think this is discrimination and we will support business that hire people who have disability. read more

First let me start by saying, I love Panera bread usually. I grew up in St.Louis where some of the first ones opened as "St.Louis Bread Company" before they expanded nationwide. Most of the time I go here because as I've traveled and lived in many states, I knew I could go to these restaurants for consistent healthy options. Almost every other place I've lived that has held true. Consistent with serving sizes, fresh produce, decent soups and sandwiches. This location? Ummm not so much. To be fair, I've not been inside this location. I've used drive through twice. Both times for my favorite salad. And they are batting ZERO. The first time I asked specifically for dressing to be on the side. I'm not even sure why that's a necessary step since it is a to go salad and lettuce will get gross if you dress it and let it sit a while before eating it. But I asked specifically anyway just in case. I got the salad home and it was dressed and had more dressing on the side. My problem is, I think almost all restaurants overdress salads to the point you can't taste the ingredients. So this was a horrific fail. I sent a review directly to Panera via the email they sent me asking about my recent visit (I use a Panera card to get points/freebies/etc). I never heard a thing back from them about it. Well tonight I wanted something fresh. I decided to give it another try. Again, same salad, same request if dressings on the side. This time they were indeed put on the sides. Four dressing cups for a very very small portion of a "large" Spicy Thai Chicken Salad. I get it that it was almost 8 pm, but in champions gate which is are resort and vacationer filled area your ingredients shouldn't be diminished to that point. And if they are, tell the customer when they order and do not sell them a large salad with 4 small slices of chicken in it, hardly any of the fire roasted vegetables and only filling the to go container up mid to two thirds full. (Mostly of lettuce and the wonton strip things that I eat around for the most part). The containers they use for their to go salads are different than any other Panera I've ever had around the nation. Instead of the large rectangular box with a window in top it's a clamshell style round plastic that holds much less than what a large salad did in other locations. Although I love Panera, from reading a few other reviews of even inside this location, I don't think I'll be going back again. VERY disappointing when I'm craving what I have grown use to in other states. read more

Ordered only a soup bowl and made sure to ask that the bowl was full and not half full. I should not have to ask for a full bowl as I am paying $8 for it but whatever... First I waited 20 minutes for a bowl of soup thru Drive thru while I observed a bunch of girls chatting, hugging and laughing behind the counter like there was nothing to do. Then one of them filled the bowl of soup and proceeded to empty part of it back on the soup pot (guess it was not what they have told her to put on the bowl) at the end of a very long wait and asking them if they made sure it was full, I received again an almost half empty bowl of soup and to top it off a small piece of hard burnt bread...not this one is new because their bred has always been on point. Too bad I was already late and had to eat at home and that is when I noticed what they had added to my bag.... I am owed a bowl of soup, I absolutely did not receive what I paid for. I love Panera and drive about 15 minutes just to go to the store and they are not cheap...they need to get their sh*t together and serve what we paid for. read more

This location in Champions Gate is very disappointing as far as lack of service no enough staff during the lunch hour especially staff not trained at the register they are very slow food is not very well presented it's a mess when you get a sandwich it takes more than 1 time to get what you ordered fixed to what was ordered salads have wilted lettuce at least 2 out 3 times when we visit this location frequently we keep trying to give this location our business but it is getting very hard to come back and recommend this location we will have to go back to the location on hwy 192 (25 mins from where we live) where we always got great service and food we tried to support the new location that is our neighborhood location where we live Extremely disappointed that this location does not support the Panera message............ read more

I love Panera and was previously employed at another location, but this location is disappointing. I have, on numerous occasions, requested my bagel to be bread sliced (put through a bread slicer to be cut into thin strips for dipping) and have yet to ever get a bread sliced bagel. It is always put through the bagel slicer which takes just as long as the bread slicer. Any special requests for mobile orders will be ignored. read more

The food is good it's a chain... and I've been to many a Panera what I don't get about this location is they never seem to have everything... they are always out of something. The breads seem to be a particular issue. In the past month I've gone to this location I have not had a sandwich on it's intended bread... one of the reasons I love Panera is the soups and if I pay $6.00 for a bowl of soup I expect it to be at least mostly full but they never do it's 2/3s at best all three times. Service is ok nothing spectacular not bad either. Serving size here seems to lack with good consultancy. read more

Because there are not many options to dine that is quick and tasty with healthy options, I dine at Panera. I happen to dine here at least 4 times a week and sometimes twice in a day. It seems like this location has potential, but several times my order has been incorrect, Kids Grilled Cheese has been over-toasted to a point that it would be a challenge for a toddler and even an adult. The service is OK but I except great service. Other locations have much better service and are friendlier to guests. This location have run out of bagels and other bakery items on a number of occasions. I believe this is a huge area for improvement. If you know that certain days are extremely busy, find a way to plan better so that your guests will choose to dine there. Don't get me wrong, this location does a lot of wonderful things, but the attention to detail is a miss on a number of occasions. On another day, I watched the manager on duty go outside to the outdoor dining area, great customers and let their dog. The manager went right back inside and behind the area where food is prepared. Yuck! Wash your hands first. Everyone doesn't want to experience the food that has been on a dog. I like animals but I also would like restaurants to prevent the transferral of germs and disease as much as possible. My suggestion is if you visit this location on a Saturday, prepare for long lines due to soccer and lacrosse tournaments nearby. read more

We love fresh bread in the morning. Get sour dough and white bread. No matter how early we go through drive through the sour dough is either sold out or they have to check. It's a tourist spot and they forget that locals buy too. The sour dough for months has been dry, little taste and giant holes apparently from air bubbles. I drive I-4 all day being in sales so have eaten at many PB location and this one is the slowest. I have been 3 times and each time 1 woman at the counter and one on the phone with long line. This week some kid was at my table when I came back from the restroom playing with my pager. It turned out he was running around the place all day for one of the employee brought him to work. This is a poorly managed location which should be avoided unless it happens to be the closest to your home. read more

We eat Panera several times per week and I usually get the same things. This location was very disappointing.we are on vacation and this location was close to our resort. We order our food and our usual broccoli cheddar soup. The soup tastes like cheese water. It was completely watered down. The next day I decided to give them another try. This time for breakfast. After placing my order I asked for grape jelly for our sandwiches. I was told it would cost $.15 each. Really. I've never been charged for those condiments before.the food is pricey enough.
