My friend ordered the baked potato soup & asked if there was any meat in it, because shes vegetarian, and they told her no. The worker was wrong and there was bacon in it and that upset my friend very much. I am unhappy with the staff and the food. If you dont know whats in the soup ask the cooks. Out of all the Panera Bread's I've dined at I have to say that this location does it the best. They are constantly busy during lunch rush but they never show any signs of stress. The "long lines" move fast, they always get my order right and the food gets delivered to your table extremely fast as well. Good job Denville Panera! read more

The yelp app made me put 1 star but I wish I could put zero. My boyfriend found a hair in his soup and lost his appetite so bad he didn't even bother bringing it back for another. I continued to eat my salad and that was a big mistake because I then found a little hair in my food too. We both lost our appetites completely and didn't want new food but we brought our bowls to the counter and told the manager there was hair in both and she nastily replied "okay throw those out and we'll make you new ones then" Dont come here. I used to go here all the time until it gave me food poisoning. I really don't prefer panera at all, I can give it to them that their bread is fresh and their soups are delish. But there very over priced, they blast the AC way too high, and there salads lack dressing. Its a great study place but I will no longer be returning to any panera. read more

This location is not as good as it used to be. Soup comes out like lava and is watered down. During my last visit, they were out of bread. Isn't that fundamental here? Stopped by here on our way to the Poconos. I've had Panera in the city before, but I don't really have a strong opinion on it. I opted for the Take 2: 1/2 salad and flatbread. For the salad, I chose their (summer?) special with strawberries, blueberries, oranges, and chicken. It was good, but maybe a little too sour/tart from the fruit/dressing? And for the flatbread, I chose the Thai Chicken, which was also good, but as I was eating it, the dressing kept falling out the other end. Overall a decent choice of food to eat, but the Take 2 does get a little expensive. read more

After a good work out at the poorly run LA Fitness down the street, I wanted to treat myself. Using the new Panera app for the first time I decided to order the Pick 2 and a Carrot cake cupcake. App said order should be ready by 3:08pm, well when I got there well after the eta my order was not ready. I spoke to the available manager who immediately assisted me by letting me know the reason for the delay was because they were out of Carrot cake. Bummer. It is one thing to apologize but this manager went above and beyond and offered me 2 treats. I was able to get double for my trouble and shared my desert with my sister at home. Awesome. Chpt chicken avocado melt was the worst I've had at a Panera. Wifi is slower than a turtle

Standard sandwiches. The space of the joint is nice and clean. I had a panini that I shared with three other people. The tomato and mozzarella tasted good, and my sister's broccoli cheddar soup was nice too. Only problem was that the staff all looked unwelcoming and the cashier gave a slight attitude. read more

The Soba noodle bowl is a spicy addition to the menu, especially if you want to clear your sinuses :-).

They no longer have the bbq chicken flatbread. it was SO good. the southwestern just doesn't compare. They have 4 tables for outside seating. good for people watching at the mall. The thai salad was large and good. I really like their iced green tea. i love love the egg/artichoke souffle for breakfast, but I think its too many calories. Very good consistent food read more

The filthiest place I have ever been in. Came in tonight about 8 (long, long day). There was no one to take an order. When I called out, someone came, he didn't know how to do anything. He was replaced by a young woman who was helpful. I went to sit down on the bench since the order was take out. There was a bucket of brown water on the bench. I then went to the seating area. NOT one clean table, and the floor was even worse. NO self-respecting rat would even go in there. This is the only Panera like this, I have had good service in Roxbury and Florham Park, but this one just can't come together. read more

Usually like this Panera a lot but today's salad was awful! Greens were wet which was bad enough, but to my dismay my green goddess salad with chicken contained no chicken at all. This Panera is decent. However I can never find something I really love. Their bread is usually top notch, but I feel like the meats are usually lacking, I'm not sure where the meat comes from but expect a subway quality sandwich with freshly cooked bread. My top 2 dishes are the Cuban Chicken sandwich and the BBQ chicken salad. read more

Almost every time I go to this panera, there is something missing from order. Whether it's the Fuji Apple chicken salad missing the apples or the avocado egg white spinach sandwich missing the avocado. It's pretty disappointing when you get to wherever you're going and your order is not right. read more

The staff is polite, friendly, and they are scheduled with their maintenance as well with the drinks and coffee. The place is well kept for the amount of volume that comes through the door. On nice days, there is an outside area to enjoy your meal as well. The staff is bilingual which is always a plus for foreign language speakers which should become the "norm" as time goes on in this melting pot of our Beautiful Country. Lunch can get busy due to the close proximity of the corporate headquarters in Parsippany as well as the shopping mall invites regular business, so be prepared for lines during peak hours. The consistency with which this place is busy is proof enough that the food is good, and with the whole rewards program, I often am reminded by the staff to take advantage of two dollars off or free pastry etc. There is a fire place area that is small but warm in the winter to if you want that "preferred" seating you have to be strategic. For a "corporate" eatery this place does a decent job and from what I noticed the staff is fairly consistent, which means low turnover, and that can is a sign that something is being done right and may lead to the staff actually caring. I have eaten at much worse places and the fact that there is free wifi across this chain is amazing, and it has a little bit of everything you want in a "fast food" joint. read more

Old mushy noodles, broth not clear as though they scraped the bottom of the pot and super salty. Bread was terrible! Stale and chewy like it was yesterday's. Not all Panera Breads are equal. This one on Rt 10, Shoppers at Union Hill, Denville, is clean and inviting. If you are bored with having the usual bagle of breakfast sandwich for breakfast, you have to try thier amazing Baked Egg Souffles. My only issue is that if you don't get there by 9am they will have all gone. Lunch time is always busy so best if you can is to call in your order and just pick up, as trying to find a place to sit is next to impossible. A few outside patio tables to sit at which is great. Absolutely horrible. I am so angry. Today will be the last day I ever eat at panera. The young man with curly brown hair behind the register called out my last name very rudely, as if he was making fun of it. He was also laughing. I politely told him the right was to say my last name, since no one ever gets it right. He started laughing even more, as well as a coworker, so I asked him if something was funny. He didn't answer me but his coworker said no. I said "okay because I'd be more than happy to talk to your manager if there's an issue". To my surprise, the manager was standing close to me, I watched him shake his head and walk away. I followed him and told him that his employee behind the food counter was extremely rude to customers. He just stared blankly at me. He said nothing. To which I responded, "you should start taking your customers more seriously", and walked out. I cannot believe I had to deal with this kind of treatment at a Panera. It's not a stressful environment ... They don't wait on tables. It's essentially fast food - get it together. I am absolutely disgusted with it. The fact that a manager, an older man partially balding with grey hair, couldn't say ONE word to me shows that he was clearly not trained well and should not be in a managerial position.
