This Panera Bread location has the prettiest outdoor seating area that's so perfect and welcoming!! Passing through the town, I'm so glad I stumbled upon this restaurant. The inside is super spacious and open, the windows adding to the beautiful interior. Staff was also super friendly and kind, answering any questions I had and even giving me a water bowl for my dog. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and hope I can visit again when I am in the area next. Thanks, Panera!!

Slowest service in drive through history. I ordered my food on the app. I have been sitting in the drive through for well over the time I was told to be here.

    Sandwich and soup!!

Stopping for a snack but ended up getting dinner. We ordered the 2 for 2! (1/2 sandwich and soup) One turkey and avocado BLT ( just a little too much mayonnaise for my taste) but...YUMM!- along with a chicken noodle soup. The other sandwich was a bacon turkey bravo- which was very delicious according to my husband- along with the onion soup! We also took advantage of the 99 Cents pastry along with our meal! Loved the fact I had a free pastry- so we had 3 pastries in total...a win win situation! It never disappoints... Love coming to our E-Town Panera!

And the sign which is where I park at...get signage that actually shows what you you need people to do

I only have you a one star as that is the lowest I can go, I placed my order on the website, drove to the restaurant l, sent the information that I had arrived, and proceeded to wait almost 30 minutes for curdside, ai finally called and they tell me that can't find me well I followed the only signage I saw, out front, and they had my phone number but didn't bother to call, them when we went to the park to eat the cold food, the grilled cheese I had asked to have the crust cut off from was half fixed so cold it was stick to the paper, and then the soup I ordered as to eat in the eat, guess what I didn't even have a spoon, so I have to wait even longer until I finally get home, so very disappointed, and now I remember why this is actually the first time this year I have bothered to dine here, and I won't be returning too expensive and crappy service, sad

My family loves this place. Whether we get soup, sandwiches, or pastries we always leave happy. Service has always been very good as well.

Previously family and I have attended some great German restaurants in the motif of a beer hall…read more This is not that. It is more of an inn. There are lots of items on display almost like a small museum. Don't forget the gift shop. I was thrilled. Obviously popular, the clientele was experienced, but diverse. While I did not hear German discussion, I might have. Next to the restaurant is a building that is their catering. It was as big as the restaurant. Walking in, the sign said to seat yourself. Sometimes that means a delay in a server finding you. Nay, nay. She was prompt, attentive and knowledgeable. She was great. Because I scanned the menu ahead of time, I knew that I wanted the trio of wursts. They were among the best I've had. My server talked me into the potato salad. It was great. Along with the wursts, I ordered a salad and completely enjoyed their house made blue cheese dressing. The beer menu had Spaten Special. Spaten is a rare treat for and this is the first time I have even enjoyed it on tap. When I was leaving, I was able to buy a six pack of harder to find German beers. My adult son loves German beer and did not even recognize one I brought that he loved. Restraining myself, I made only modest purchases in the gift shop. This will not be true next visit. As far as the museum aspect, there are many displays. Down one wall are many car models, train models, liquor decanters and numerous other German items. I sneaked into a closed dining room with great displays of stein and wine history. A few times a year, I head from TN to IN. I will make this a two day stop. Oh, did I mention there is a hotel right next door to keep my safe from driving after enjoying a few great beers on tap?

Atmosphere is fun, it really embraces the German decor (saw a review or too calling it kitschy, in a good way, which I think is a fair description). Service is friendly and attentive (and in the costumed German garb to keep with the themes). Lots of classic German dishes (several schnitzel varieties, brats, spatzel, etc.). I won't say anything I've had over the years blows me away, but haven't had a bad choice either. The Wiener schnitzel I had most recently was tender and tasty, with a perfectly fried batter, and the German fries were nicely crisped on the exterior and beautifully seasoned. Good beer selection (including some brewed for the restaurant), reasonable wine list...love that you can go all out and have your beer in the classic giant boot! Small gift shop as well, some souvenir items as well as some candies and food options.

Family legend has it that my ancestors left Ireland for the new world to survive during the great…read morepotato famine, little could they know that generations later, an offspring would come face to face with the great Elizabethtown McAlisters potato famine. One month ago, I stopped in for lunch, I had a real craving for a baked potato. I stood in line for over 20 minutes - the lines move slow when you want a baked potato in this restaurant. I got to the counter, knowing full well I'd be late back to work due to the slow service at this particular location, placed my order for a delicious baked potato only to be met with "we don't have any spuds" I felt a stronger connection to my Irish kinfolk that day. I changed my order for a bowl of potato soup. The soup was a typical mediocre bowl of potato soup with maybe 4 actual pieces of potato in a creamy sauce. Boring. Approximately four weeks after this visit, my entire family decided they wanted to go to McAlister's - the same location nonetheless. I thought to myself "self, surely they have potatoes now!" (Foreshadowing). We arrived and, dreaming of delicious baked potatoes, we all each ordered a meal with a half spud. I had the honor of paying the large sum and I even left a generous tip because I was so excited that they had baked potatoes (they call them spuds). I usually don't tip for counter service - but I was just so excited. Finally, the Irish curse was broken. We Will Have Potatoes! We got our gigantic, flimsy tea cups and made our way to our table. Many minutes later. 8 or 9 minutes? A person came over to announce "we don't have spuds. You need to reorder." Suddenly it was the 19th century all over again. The entire family decided to migrate to another restaurant next door. I asked for a refund. The employee left then came back and said "they are going to refund your money and give you the food even still" Oh my. Decision time. Free food that we don't really want or go next door. I voted to leave. My ancestors have been through this before. Not again I said! I got out voted. We spent the next 10 minutes deciding and working to re-order all the food again. The food came. It was ok. Perhaps I was jaded because of the whole potato (um...spuds) thing. The next day I checked my card account online. They didn't refund the meal. We ended up paying for food we didn't really want. We should have gone to the place next door. To be fair, the folks were nice and pleasant. The store was clean and well organized. One last thing: Don't get the cookies. Not worth the cost. Save the money and the calories and find something better at the Bundt cake store! So long McAlister's, I must honor the ancestors and bid you farewell. I'll be getting my baked potatoes elsewhere- maybe that new giant Kroger has a good deal on potatoes....i mean spuds. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on the spuds.

The food was catered and not off a menu which you would think would be easier to manage and faster. In my recent experience they brought us a bottle of water shortly after sitting but no glasses to pour the water into. 20 mins later we finally received glasses for our water after going to the bar and asking, only to be told that she was filling them. 10 mins later a basket of dinner rolls was brought to us with no plates to put them on. After another 10 mins of wonder if our meal was on the way, we decided to just start eating the dinner rolls. 15 mins later they came around with a cart and asked if someone wanted beef. I took the beef but the three ladies at my table preferred chicken so I paused to eat but figured with the delays that they wouldn't be coming soon and decided to eat. It took the sponsor of our event to tell the staff that there were three people at this table who needed a plate. By that time, I had already finished my meal, the server had taken my plate, and nobody was hungry anymore. We decided to go elsewhere for a meal after paying our respects to the family. Totally unacceptable for a catered meal to be so mismanged and delayed. I would not recommend this business to anyone nor return for even a free meal. You deserve better!
