I will start this as I always do by saying I don't give out five stars in unless I am really blown away. My review is based off other restaurants of this caliber. I will stick with my four star review food is always good. Staff is great to me again. I'm biased cause I stopped here every day. Like their coffee the Greek got a salad is delicious so is the breakfast sandwich with the smoked chicken. I did something yesterday that I've never done . I came in here to do work. Was fantastic. I could do my work refill my coffee and there was a nice buzz about the place and it wasn't too loud. I will say the decor is lacking. I do like the old location. I don't know why this Panera has only 2.5 stars. This Panera is hands down the most beautiful and cozy location I have ever seen. There are a lot of of big windows which allow you to see the beautiful trees outside. It was Fall season when i came here so my view was gorgeous. I ordered the Autumn squash soup which was just perfect for the season and a Caesar salad. I deducted one star because the salad had no croutons. The staff was super friendly and sweet which I really appreciated specially because people in LA are so snob. read more

3.5 stars. I don't know, guys. It's Panera. Nothing is going to be aMAZiNg here but it absolutely will be overpriced. My toddler likes the Mac and cheese, and it's an easy place to take her to sit down and eat without the chaos that might happen if we took her to a more formal sit down restaurant. The turkey chili was decent. The best item here, hands down, is the green iced tea though. That is all I really want from this place... okay, maybe a cookie. And my daughters lunch to make her happy. I had always had decent food at various Panera restaurants until I met a friend for lunch at the "new" restaurant next to McDonalds. We got our food, I bit down on a piece of plastic fork tine! I also noted that my plain iced tea from the fountain tasted like the raspberry tea. I approached the manager and informed him, showing him the plastic tine. His reaction was to shrug me off about the plastic and argue that the tea couldn't possibly be flavored because they always put each flavor of tea in separate dispensers. My point was that somehow the plain tea had been adulterated, maybe the dispenser not carefully washed or something similar. The manager did not even acknowledge any mistake, much less offer me a refund or coupon. I know that errors occur but if an employee is mixing food with a plastic fork--never advisable in the first place since it is not strong enough--and sees that the fork has a broken tine, just toss the food or follow whatever the protocol is for such instances. And there SHOULD be a protocol in a company the size of Panera! And I did say to him that the tea tasted good, but it wasn't what it was supposed to be, i.e., plain. Although, on vthe up side, as I was leaving I passed the bakery counter and the lovely lady asked me whether I had had lunch, and I nodded and she handed me a pastry, free of charge. That took the edge off my experience there. But still, I could have been injured by someone's negligence. read more

Ordered from Panera in Fayetteville, NY. Picked up at drive thru window. Got home...wrong sandwich. So I called the store repeatedly, hoping they would rectify the situation. No one answered the phone...ever.... I was disappointed with the mistake they made with the order , but I understand that mistakes happen. But never answering the phone...that's a management flaw that turned my disappointment to anger. Went to the new drive thru for an iced coffee. No non-dairy milk options, and then my "iced coffee" had no ice, was cold and vaguely tasted like coffee. It was the temp of the coffee I forgot in my mug this morning. Orange scone isn't as good as it used to be. Staff great. Product meh. read more

We went to the new Panera in Fayetteville... not a good experience. I asked for two gluten-free salads, as my husband has an allergy. We got a Ceasar salad and a berry chicken salad to go (don't remember the exact names, but it doesn't matter in this case). We told the cashier about the allergy, and she noted it. We walked down to the pick-up area, and I spoke to a woman in the prep area that I had just ordered two salads that need to be gluten-free, and stated that it was because of an allergy. She asked person prepping food if she had heard that, and the girl nodded her head yes, but smirked. I didn't like that, but I let it go. The salads were ready, and I saw two bags on the counter - one bag was open, and one bag was closed and sealed with a purple sticker advising us of their food allergen statement. We took the bags to our car. I looked into the bag that wasn't sealed, and there was my husband's salad with two hunks of baguette bread. (The cashier hadn't asked us what we wanted for our sides). In the sealed bag was the other salad with no baguettes (I would've preferred chips or an apple). I'm not gluten-free, but I typically order gluten-free food for both of us to cut down on confusion. Nevertheless, they put two pieces of BREAD in with our salads that I had requested be GLUTEN-FREE. We are well aware that cross-contamination can happen when eating out. We eat mostly at home to ensure things like this don't happen. But putting bread in with food that has been specified as gluten-free free is just stupid. This girl was either untrained, wasn't paying attention, or simply didn't care and wasn't trying. But this is ultimately Panera's responsibility. They're in the business of making food for people and should do as much as they can do to make sure their employees understand what they're doing, and are following through and doing it properly, to the best of their abilities. First time ordering thru this new location. Ordered and paid online and selected Drive Through Pick Up . When I drove into the so called "pick up" lane there were 5 cars ahead of me which seemed a bit off. But as I progressed I saw that the lane is actually a combo Order Line and Pick Up line. So what should have been a rapid line turned into about a 15 minute slog . It is absurd that they have those to services combined like that. Never Again will I use the Drive through. I've really tried with this Panera. I really have. I've given them multiple chances. Every time something is wrong with my order. Today, we got a family feast deal. The salad which is the group salad came in a smaller bowl. I asked the lady and she said oh we are out of the big bowls. I said so that means I pay for a big salad and get a small one? She didn't say anything, just said I could buy another one if I wanted to. One time they put so much Mayo the whole sandwich was inedible. I called and asked for a refund. They said they couldn't do that. There was nothing they could do. Which is wrong, because I called customer service and they gave me a credit for a free meal. I ordered a salad one time and it was literally half a bowl of only lettuce and a small thing of dressing. It was like $10!! Save your money. Go elsewhere. The Panera was recently redone and looks nothing like other paneras now. Improvements are that the menus are much easier to see and there might be a few more seats. They got rid of the separate counter for drink orders so now everyone picks up at the same place so it can get crowded for to go orders. I was annoyed my bagel with cream cheese literally came as a separate bagel and cream cheese packet with a knife so I get to my car ready to eat and instead I have to spread cream cheese on my lap in the parking lot... First off I ordered delivery. There were three people in the car that delivered my food. Panera uses door dash, they no longer have their own drivers. When I ordered a few weeks ago the car had two people in it and they left my food at my neighbors house then brought it to my house 30 minutes later I saw all of this take place on the cameras. I had to drive to Panera speak with the manager and get new food with no compensation or apology she blamed it on DoorDash. Took my wife to Panera tonight because i wanted to try their new spicy chicken sandwich. WHAT A TRAIN WRECK! The chicken was dry as hell that I couldn't even finish it and there was absolutely no spice to it at all. We also ordered soups and half of mine was spilled onto the tray. We paid $37 bucks for something we could have made WAY BETTER at home for a quarter of the price. Service was good but the food was absolutely horrible and a waste of money. I normally go to Panera on the Erie Boulevard which is an excellent business. They have excellent service and I have never had to complain about any of their products. However, your location The Town Center has once again messed up an order. It was a simple bagel to be toasted and it took 20 minutes for my order to come after another employee had to put it back in the computer. This is very poor management of employees. I couldn't even blame it on not enough employees because there were several in the kitchen just standing chatting. My family and I will never visit this location again. We ordered curb side pickup. We were sent a time when we should arrive to pick up the meal. We did that and clicked on the button I the email to inform them we were there. No one came out. After 15 minutes we called. We were put on hold while the person went to ask about our order. 5 minutes later she came back and told us some one would bring it out immediately which they did. We order hot meals (pizza) and they we stone cold. Asked the delivery girl about that and she said we pranked in the wrong spot that's why we didn't get our meal. We asked where that was and she said "around back". I asked how I would know that? No response. I asked if I could get our meals hot and she walked away and shouted "have a nice day!" We contacted customer care and they also ignored us. Sent a $10 coupon towards our next purchase which will never happen, and closed the inquiry without even hearing our complaint. Highly disappointed with our last three orders from this location. Each time the food has been cold, part of an order was left out...and tonight I had to throw away a bowl of soup after finding four strands of hair in it. I would rate the location higher if that hadn't occurred- things happen! Orders are delayed, items are left out, especially with the big increase in to-go dining. But at a time when cleanliness and hygiene are a top priority...hair in food just isn't something I can overlook. Visited the Fayetteville Panera last night, mainly because I didn't feel like driving home to make supper after a long day, and the prospect of soup and a baguette seemed like a good cold-weather meal. The store is everything you expect to see in a Panera: the carefully chosen decor, the artfully arranged pastries, the signage that reminds you that you are a socially responsible consumer. The ambiance is lost on me, but I realize that I'm not in their target demographic. Ordering should have been my first clue to just leave: they were out of both my first and second choice of soup. I used to really like their French onion soup, until they reformulated it -- now it leaves an oddly chemical aftertaste, and leads to equally unpleasant aromas several hours later. Finally I settled on chicken tortellini alfredo, with a baguette -- but no, they were out of baguettes too, so I settled for a bag of their potato chips, presumably made from free-range potatoes. A pleasant gentleman delivered my order to the table with an apology about the lack of bread, and I settled down to enjoy my tortellini. Tortellini that was oddly difficult to get onto my fork. Hard, rubbery, tortellini, that gave my jaw muscles a workout not unlike a wad of stale bubblegum. Odd, I thought, and tried another that was a more typical consistency. A handful of more normal samples had me thinking that the first was a fluke, an outlier, until I hit another 40+ durometer gem (about the hardness of a rubber washer). But hey, I was hungry, and by now I was curious to see how many of these bits of surprisingly rugged pasta were hiding under the flaccid and stringy chicken. By actual count, there were seven -- eight, if you count one that actually crunched. Here's the thing, and it bothers me more as I think about it: Panera is so painfully image conscious, and makes such an effort to convey the idea that you are buying a superior product on many different levels, yet the food itself tells a sadly different story. If I wanted to eat food that had been held well beyond its expiration point and badly reheated, I could have done that myself for about a third of the price. Even when their food is at its prime, objectively it's no better than any other mass-produced reheated product. So it isn't just that I don't care for bad and overpriced food; I don't appreciate being implicitly lied to, and told that it's good. read more

I keep returning to this Panera, but I'm not sure why. I've had another bad experience at this location. I ordered a bacon turkey bravo, but they had no romaine lettuce, so they didn't put any lettuce on my sandwich. They didn't even offer to substitute. They also had no chips, so I didn't get them either. My husband ordered chicken and wild rice soup, but it was very watery for a creamy soup, and had little or no rice. It also had a funny taste. Where do I began to share my disappointment....First, the seating arrangement at this location feels cheap, uncomfortable and it takes away the joy out of eating. Not only are the chairs and tables too close to each other, the layout ruins the ambiance and makes you want to get out of there asap. You might as well just put a huge long communal table for everyone to share. Second, the staff is mostly millennials who are uninterested in at least making the customer experience a bit better. They don't know how to use the cashier machines, what's inside the pastries, or how to smile. I has happy to see one of the older staff at the cashier's last time I was there, not the inept young staff. Third, the smoking cooks that make the food...please at least do it somewhere far away from the business so I don't feel bad about eating from a second hand smoker. Oh, and the chicken in the sandwiches is always raw and looks like it comes from a lab instead of real chickens. I could go on and on. But people ask for these type of businesses to propagate: the boring, predictable and nasty food with bad service and discomfort. I get that Panera seems like the healthier option of the lot, but why pay so much for factory food? Try making a grilled cheese sandwich at home...try it, is NOT that hard. read more

This rating is specifically about the excellent service I received on a small catering order for this past weekend at the Fayetteville store. Both the man I spoke with by phone earlier in the week (whose name I cannot remember) and Felicia, a manager there, I believe is her name, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Both made me feel I definitely was making the right decision to go to Panera's for my catering needs. They were flexible with my choices, knowledgeable in a way I could not get on line, very patient with me about anything I didn't understand or decided to change which was much appreciated. The in-person help I received as a walk-in one evening from Felicia made everything so easy and she was so personable and lovely I enjoyed the whole process. Both people went over and above what they had to do and the experience could not have been better. In addition, the order was ready when promised and everything was exactly as I had asked. read more

I went to this Panera for lunch over the weekend, and I really enjoyed my visit here. It had been about three years since I've eaten at a Panera. The menu has expanded, which is great as there are so many tasty options, but it can make deciding what to order take a while! We opted to place our orders and pay at one of the electronic kiosks, which was easy and also customizable. I'm not sure about other Panera's, but here they now bring your order to your table instead of you having to wait by the counter/food prep. You get a square buzzer-type looking thing that you place on your table, which somehow electronically transmits your location so they know where to bring the food. It makes the visit so much nicer, as I always found it awkward waiting in a crowded area for my food. Plus, the geek in me thought it was a neat idea. This Panera was very clean and our food came out quickly. Even though it was crowded we easily found a table because it is very large inside. They also appear to have outdoor seating in the warmer months. We each got a 1/2 salad, 1/2 sandwich combo. My friend got a kale salad with chicken and some sort of panini, and she really enjoyed her meal. I got ceasar salad and the roast turkey/bacon/avocado on sourdough. The ceasar dressing was one of the best I've had and I loved the big pieces of shaved parmesan on it. The croutons were really crunchy but had a great flavor. My sandwich was made with carved turkey - no deli meat on this one! The avocado was fresh, and the bread was ah-mazing. The best part about eating at Panera is the fresh and tasty bread. Eating here reminded me of how I used to love buying a fresh loaf of Panera bread each week when I was in college (the cheese bread and sourdough were my favorites!). They will slice it for you right there to your specified thickness which is nice. I'm definitely coming back soon for some of that bread and will keep this place in mind when I'm in the area and hungry. read more

I used to love it here. Now, between the jacked prices, smaller portions, and lack of appropriate food prep I just can't justify spending money at this place. A tiny half sandwich and mini bowl of soup heated in a microwave is 12 dollars!!! I could make a majority of the items on the menu at home better quality and for less money. This Panera has a decent atmosphere. It is a good place to grab a quick meal while trying to get some work done or read a book. This one is quieter than most Paneras. I actually go out of my way to go to this one. There is plenty of seating, which can be rare for Panera. I always enjoy the puck two. I'm a huge sucker for soup and sandwich combo. I usually get the Bistro French Onion soup. This isn't a very traditional French onion, I find myself missing the goodness that is broiled cheese, but with fast casual you know you aren't going to get that. I also got the steak and white cheddar panini. This is a nice choice for a warm sandwich, but can be a little heavy on the horseradish. I wouldn't suggest this sandwich if you aren't sold on horseradish. I also find the green tea drink a highlight. It's light and refreshing. I'm not a huge fan of ice tea, but this also has fruity flavors and is slightly sweet. read more

I wrote to corporate headquarters to complain about lack of follow-through.I believe it may have worked. In recent visits, not only has the staff delivered on my request for dark roast coffee, they've also personally informed me that it was ready. Panera is a well-run company that meets the popular need for a quick, light, healthful snack or meal at a reasonable cost. They also appear to listen to customer feedback. UPDATE (6/27/18): There's been a marked deterioration in the quality of coffee at Panera's Fayetteville, NY location. Usually only two brew offerings: dishwater "Light Body" and ghastly flavored "Hazlenut." In my repeated visits to this location in recent weeks, I've found the coffee exceptionally weak and luke warm. The canisters are changed infrequently. read more

This Panera has lost its way. It used to have a reputation for good food and happy, friendly employees. But subsequent to two remodels over a few years, it has become a clearing-house for ill-prepared meals prepared by careless employees who have lost touch with their mission. And other recent Yelp reviews reflect exactly this. The food is expensive, the servings are small, and the service has declined substantially. I hope that better management can rescue this Panera - but I have significant doubts. From now on I will avoid it - it always disappoints. read more

I have been going to panera's in fayetteville, ny, for several years. I feel that this restaurant is declining in quality very rapidly. The sweet goods are bread to which is added something sugary. The sprouted seed roll which they now offer instead of the multigrain baguette is tasteless. Tonight I got what was supposed to be a sandwich when in fact it was simply a couple of slices of turkey folded with lettuse slapped between two slices of bread. I've been to this and other Panera Bread's several times. Never have I walked away happy. My choice for food on this visit was an egg sandwich, which was served on a sesame bagel. The Towne Center Panera in Fayetteville is hurting the brand. Compared to any other Panera in my experience, which includes some home stores in Missouri, this one is in serious trouble. Floors are dirty, crumbs on many surfaces, no overnight cleaning, dishes not cleaned well. Ordering and pickup are set up such that they are inconvenient (and always have been this way), but now there are too many chairs, never straightened, so it is hard to get around in the main dining rooms. I couldn't identify a manager, so easily spotted and hard at work in other Paneras. Also, the wifi is on the blink! If the franchise owner is listening: clean it up and make it welcoming and comfortable. If headquarters is listening: you image is being tarnished by this franchise location. read more
