This Panera Bread is a franchise store and they provide service like an establishment without company oversight. I really enjoy Panera but not this one. 1) Rapid Pickup should be called Surprise Pickup. You never know what you are going to get in the bag. Either part of your order is missing, items are either added or left off your salad or sandwich and the best one...if they are out of an ingredient they will substitute as they desire. That is poor service but dangerous to someone with food allergies. 2) The customer service at both the drive thru and inside counter is poor. They have difficulty in knowing what products Panera carries. I ask myself why do I continue to patronize them when 80% of the time my order is wrong. I know the answer and so does the owner. It is the only healthy (i can't say fast) restaurant in the area that is not a full service sit down restaurant. They have no competition therefore they don't have to do better. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and asked for tomatoes and onions to be added to the sandwich. When I received the sandwich tomatoes and onions were on one side and meat was on the other side. Worst Panera I've ever been to!! And I've been to a lot of Paneras. Ridiculous. All I ordered was a caramel latte with soy milk. Apparently they don't have soy milk, so I asked for skim milk instead. Customer service was horrible over the drive-thru speaker. Then, when I got halfway home and started drinking my latte, it tasted absolutely disgusting. The food is good but the service here is horrible. I got the new quinoa Mediterranean chicken salad and I love it! I usually get the half and half. I couldn't finish my Mediterranean veggie sandwich so went to the food pick-up counter to get a take-out container. I waited and waited for someone to acknowledge my presence. I showered and had on clean clothes so don't believe I looked homeless. Even if that were the case, you would expect that someone would politely ask if the person loitering around your counter needed help. When I finally said, "Excuse me?" the women wouldn't even make eye contact. Then they started complaining about their job. Right. In. Front of. Me. I was finally given my container. I guess I should have just shoved my sandwich in my pocket or purse? The last time I was here I wasn't given a buzzer thingy and they just put my bagel on the counter and I had to ask if that was my order. The customer service at this particular location was absolutely, unacceptable. My cashier's name was Laquisha, and she constantly rolled her eyes and spoke in a condescending tone. Upon receiving my order, the steak and white cheddar panini, the steak appeared to be undercooked. At a more reputable establishment, I wouldn't be opposed to eating steak that's medium rare/ medium well but with the customer interaction, and lack of cleanliness at this location I wasn't eager to do so. This steak didn't look appetizing in the least. My mom proceeded to ask them if they could further cook my steak, at which point they responded by saying " it's cooked, that's dye," as if that was supposed to make it more appealing. Came into the store at 6:30am. Ordered a bagel and coffee. I filled up my dark roast and noticed that it was barely even warm. I informed the cashier and she notified the manager. All the manager did was stick her head out from around the corner and told her it was only made 5 minutes ago. She didn't even acknowledge me. The cashier came back and said they would have to brew another pot. I said fine and went to the restroom. When I came back she gave me my toasted bagel and then repeated that she will need to go brew another pot. I'm thinking, couldn't you have already done that? They did not even pull the pot of cold coffee, I had to stop another customer from getting it. I asked for them to get me a cup fro. What they were serving at the drive-thru.and I was quickly told that they use the same pot that is in the restaurant for the dine-in customers.I would hate to be one of those people that got the cold coffee going to the drive-thru and they realize that when they got to work. So finally I got my coffee but by now my bagel is cold.the manager did come out from around the corner to the counter but still refuse to acknowledge me or even to apologize for the inconvenience. The food is good, but they ALWAYS forget your drink if it's one that they have to give you rather than you get yourself. This review is long overdue. I love Panera, I can't handle any other fast food because it tears my stomach up. I visit the Ellis Rd. Panera the most because it's right by my house and I order through Rapid pick up almost every time on my way to work. I would say on average I do this 2-3 times a week. I would also say 1 out of every 5 visits are satisfactory. The customer service is abysmal. On SEVERAL occasions they said they never received my order, and on one of these occasions the associate in back found it necessary to spend an excessive amount of time chastising me about their own mess up instead of just making the order I had already paid for. (This could absolutely be a technical problem, but I would rather receive my order as quickly as possible and not receive a lecture). The sandwiches are usually a mess, and just today my sandwich was dry as a bone with zero spread on it and my soup "cup" was maybe half way filled. I don't usually go into long negative reviews like this, but I would really like to see some changes at this Panera as I am a regular there and would like to continue going there as it is the only one close to me. I have gone to this Panera Bread on several occasions. This past Friday night was horrible! We had a female take our order who was not having a great day but was sweet and apologetic. That is where the niceness ends. A male worker actually was at the drive thru window and could not have been more rude. He acted like he would rather not be working. We thanked him after paying and he did not say a word back. We then pulled over to check our bag and saw where he had just thrown a piece of bread on top of the containers of food. I ordered 1/2 turkey sandwich with chicken noodle soup. I was told mayonnaise didn't come on the sandwich and unfortunately i got mayo. I don't like mayo at all. I was told you get pkgs of mayonnaise and mustard. I wanted my sandwich toasted and it was not.
