Ordered a warm bowl last night for my work lunch and was disgusted to find moldy edamame in it. Not just one. I'm pretty sure I ate some because something didn't taste right. I am deeply disgusted, disappointed and upset. Not ordering again

First visiting this Panera location at Foster City. We live in Millbrae so we usually go to the one there because it's closer to home. Rosa helped me and my wife this morning. We had some questions about the menu and she took her time to answer our questions. We had a couple of sandwhiches for breakfast with a caramel latte and a hot chocolate. Also ordered a big box of bagels for the whole family. A bagel pack and a dozen and a half. I kept going back to the front to ask for extra plastic bags and an extra sandwhich since I was still hungry . I thought I was going to start being a nuisance but every time Rosa was glad to help. We ended up leaving with our hunger satisfied and with a great experiencie. Great customer service goes a long way to keep customers happy.

$9 and 25 minutes for this avocado toast. Girl I could have been down the street at Starbucks. Lesson learned

By all means if you have unlimited hours in your day make this your spot. The waiting line for food is literally growing and the staff moves at a glacial pace. People are literally screaming. Let's wait 25 minutes for a Starbucks grade microwaved breakfast sandwich.

Both ends and at least 3-5 slices gone

Don't get me wrong, I love things at Panera especially the Macaroons! But why when you buy a loaf of bread and get it sliced and they charge you almost $11.00 dollars you end up loosing so many slices off it by the time you walk out? Seems pretty wrong to me!

I ordered half sandwich and half soup today. Soup was ok but the ciabatta steak sandwich was not good at all. It's cold and dry. I had a bite and tossed it.

Hunan Mifen is another good spot worth trying if you love authentic Asian cuisine…read more I don't eat spicy food so I was happy that they have some dishes that is not spicy, I love the flavor of their broth, tasty not salty and it has a balance. I love that they have variety of appetizers and side dishes. Price is very reasonable for a freshly cook dishes. I would give them two thumbs up

Had low expectations coming here and was pleasantly surprised!…read more Food: T-he braised beef noodles were amazing. Noodles were chewier than most beef noodle soups I've had and the beef pieces were very tender and soft. The soup wasn't too spicy by itself and had alot of depth and flavor. -Pro-tip: There is a little self-serve station near the kitchen where you can get add'l condiments like cilantro, green onion, chili, and pickled daikon. SCORE. Add in the cilantro/green onion for a flavor explosion. -Ordered one of the combo noodles + 2 sides. For my sides, I got a blanched bok choy and a fried gyoza. The bok choy was needed to help cut the spiciness of the soup and to add veggies b/c without it, you'd just be having carbs, beef, and soup. Gyoza was a win too. Service: FAST and friendly, just how I like my non-fine dining restaurant experiences. You scan a QR code at the table and then choose an english/chinese option. If you have questions, you can ask the staff, but there isn't a TON of options to choose from, so make it easy on yourself and order a noodle soup. Ambiance: Ample seating at 1:30pm on a Sunday. Didn't have to wait, which was a big plus as all the other restaurants in San Mateo over near 3rd/4th and B street were packed. Overall: Highly recommend and would come again. This might be my favorite niu rou mian spot!

I used to get one Shugetsu Tsukemen Special on my own, but it's been harder and harder for me to finish one by myself. Now, I order a Shugetsu Tsukemen Special with the mega size, get side orders of the chashu pork and marinated egg, and split with my boyfriend (since the Special already comes with pork and egg for one person, the a la carte orders are enough for a second). The broth is super flavorful, smoky, and roasty. Keep in mind the broth does err on the more oily side for the more health-conscious folks, and I wouldn't wear white, as the broth might splash back as you eat! The restaurant doesn't have a flashy storefront and is rather more hidden in the marketplace it's in. Be cautious about leaving valuables in your car. The inside itself is also not too big, so that on top of its popularity is why there might be a wait. I would also recommend coming earlier than typical meal times. While the hype has definitely died down ever since they opened during Covid, it's still pretty popular so I would be prepared to wait. I highly recommend trying out Shugetsu, and definitely recommend coming hungry because the portions are huge! They recently opened another location in Fremont, so East Bay folks get to try this one out there too.

We ordered a Shugetsu Tsukemen special and a Shugetsu Ramen. They let you add more noodles at no extra charge. We saw the pork slices getting charcoal(?) grilled in the back! For the tsukemen, I opted for hot noodles. They're a bit clingier when hot, but have a great bite to them. The soup is a little on the sour side, but it was delicious. There's little bits of pork and menma in it, and it clung to the noodles well. Definitely recommend the extra egg and pork! The ramen was equally amazing. The broth was light yet hearty. These noodles also had a satisfying chew to them.
