We found a BUG in my sisters tuna sandwich. Now this isn't some small bug, this is a HUGE BUG. We are lucky she opened it up before she ate that part. I am truly shocked because nothing like this have ever happened to us from this location. We have been going to this location since they opened and never had a problem until now. Please check your sandwiches before you eat them! Update: We called to complain and to our shock the manager was not surprised at all. She even said that this has happened before. Um excuse me?? We were ready to send her pictures to prove this happened and she nonchalantly brushed it off. There is a huge sanitation issue here that needs to be addressed. Great Customer Service! So accidents happen. I ordered delivery from here for the first time. Order was dropped off on time BUT when I looked at the bag it was someone's rapid pickup order. I couldn't flag down the driver as he pulled away. I called the store and the very courteous employee located my order sitting in the kitchen. He spoke to his manager and said he would be right there with my order. Also I should just keep the first order. I got my order within 10-15 minutes. PLUS my green goddess salad was about the best I've ever had! This was the the salad they made me BEFORE it got left behind by the delivery guy. Mad Props to your employees and your Customer service. So I really want to like this new Panera. It's in a really convenient spot for me, I love snacking on the various pastries while getting work done, Panera food generally feels pretty wholesome, etc. In short, I'm actually a fan of Panera in general. This store, though...it's kind of tragic. Here they are, given this new super clean, super neat space. I love the layout. Plugs everywhere (though they can always use more...but this one has a decent amount). The rubbery benches at the booths kinda suck...way too tacky, so they feel kinda gross. But whatever...that's really nitpicky. No, the egregious thing about this Panera is that it's immediately going downhill...and it seems to come down to the workers. To be sure, the people at the front are super nice and courteous. They make the place really inviting. The problem is that the tables are a mess, and don't get cleaned up. It makes the place look like crap. I've seen dirty tables stay that way for an hour or more. Why doesn't anyone give a crap about this? I would normally partially blame the clientele, actually. Panera is a place that encourages self-bussing of your crap after you're done. I love places like that. It makes a lot of sense. I'm always happy to bus my own stuff, and even wipe down the table if I've made a mess. But no, the bussing area is completely gross, and suffers from the same neglect. How can they expect someone to use it if it's all messed up like that? See picture. So yeah...this place looks all nice and stuff...on the surface. But when you look under the hood, there's something very wrong...like management doesn't give a single crap about anything (and yes, this is a management issue. The actual people that do non-management work seem fine). How sad. VERY disappointed yesterday when I opened my order to eat dinner and noticed the skimpy portion of Napa Almond Chicken Salad on my sandwich. This was the first time I have ordered from this specific location, and I can guarantee that I will NEVER go back. I order quite a bit from a few other locations, and have never had a problem, but yesterday, there wasn't even a quarter cup of the chicken salad on the entire sandwich. There was, however, 3 times the amount of greens, so I guess they feel that evens itself out?? I understand that businesses are struggling to find staff, but when you charge $31 for a sandwich, a side of mac n cheese, a soft drink, and a couple of cookies, three of those four things shouldn't be wrong. I ordered a bacon turkey bravo...they left off the sauce, meaning I ended up getting a basic cold cut sandwich with 5 slices of turkey and 1 1/2 pieces of bacon on it. I could have gotten that from my hotel for half the cost. I ordered a side of mac...it was the only part of the order that was right. I ordered a large soft drink...I was given a small coffee, then a large coffee, before finally getting a soft drink cup. I ordered two cookies from the bakery...I was given one and had to go back to get the second. If you're going to have exhorbitant prices for fast food, you can't use the excuse that "we're short staffed", especially since there were a total of two people in the store ordering food, so it's not like they were overwhelmed with work. read more

Sometimes my order is wrong (I'm vegetarian and sometimes I find chicken in my salad, which is gross), but I usually get credit from Panera, so I'm going to keep coming back. My complaint for Panera headquarters, in general, is that I wish they had better veggie soup options year round. The summer corn is great but it's only there for a few months. The Lemon veggie is gross...too lemony. Not sure why it's available year round. They need to bring back the previous low-fat veggie soup they had that was similar to a minestrone. I'm sad they got rid of that a couple years back. I also don't like how the prices keep increasing, but I don't think that's an issue for this location; it seems like a Panera issue. read more

I went here on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 around 5:45 PM. I also went here on Sunday, February 24, 2019 around 6:30 PM. Both times I left a little disappointed. The restaurant is fairly new, having opened around August of 2017. As such, all the decor is not like the traditional ones in the Bay Area, or nation in fact. The lighting is bright and decorative, with bamboo caged lights which hang down. The floor plan is new. The font for the Panera sign outside is different. There are high-top table areas. The drink area is closer to the front. The soda dispenser ice machine is covered by wood cabinet doors. The food display cases are right by the customer and more vertical. The color scheme is different. There is Braille voice ordering for the self-serve kiosks. When I went both times, there were not many customers. At neither time was there anyone in line. I think that people must not realize this Panera exists. I ordered through the self-serve kiosks both times. The first time, I waited 15 minutes, and my order just disappeared from the screen (or it was never there). I spoke to the manager, and she was very apologetic and professional, and got me my order, no questions asked. The second time, I ended up waiting 10-15 minutes for my order to be completed. This second order was just a cookie from the bakery. After I waited, I saw the manger (a different one this time) come from the customer area with my cookie bag. He was very nice as well. But the kiosks are supposed to make things faster, but in this case, as there was no line, if I had just ordered at the register, the employee would have simply grabbed my cookie in less than a minute, and I would have been on my way. The other thing that I did not like was there was a large, open trash can right next to the craft drink area. It is kind of gross getting your drink, then throwing your trash (like the straw paper) away in a container full of garbage, including food garbage. Other Paneras have their trash can closed with a swinging lid, and are father away from the drink area. The food itself was good, and there seemed to be a sufficient number of employees for the customers they had. They just can't seem to get the orders done fast or had problems with the kiosk system. Parking was easy, right out front. There seemed to be a very pleasant area to sit in outside if I had wanted. I honestly wanted to give this Panera a good review since it is so modern and there are many amenities, but I waited longer at this Panera than I have at others, two times now when it was not busy. read more

This is a review of the flatbread pizza. I am not sure if this location did a bad job or if the chain's flat bread pizzas just stink. My pepperoni flat bread had no taste. Not only was the bread tasteless but they seemed to just wave a delicious red sauce over the pizza so that a drop hit 3 spots! The pepperoni was great too but the cheese lacked presence! For us, its either because we can't think of anywhere else to go and it's our last choice, or the little one wants chicken noodle soup and Panera is close enough for us to get some. The food quality at Panera is always good. I like where the company is heading with their ingredients. The flavors are ALWAYS consistent, and you can be sure it's made well. The problem we experience time and time again is the speed of service, which is slow, and the order accuracy. It seems like it happens more often than not, where something in our order is missing or incorrect. Like they give us the wrong soup, or they don't give us everything that's included with the meal, or they give us the wrong salad dressing. Panera sounded good so ordered for pickup. They didn't put avocado in an avocado sandwich. Had to drive back and by the time we got there it was just past 11 am (breakfast ends at 11 AM I guess.) My husband tells the guy, there was no avocado and asked if they could make a new sandwich, the guy was about to take it back when a lady stopped him and said "sir breakfast is over." So he said we ordered during breakfast hours. She still refused and offered us to take avocados (instead of making a new sandwich). The guy was confused by his coworkers response and the manager intervened after overhearing the conversation. Panera Bread - Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich - Soup Near Me - Foster City, California

We had a company event so we decided to go with Panera Bread Foster City. We are glad we did. Our order included 10 box lunches of varying styles of sandwiches with sides like apples and cookies, a large box of coffee with cream and sugars, cups, napkins, and two pastry rings. The order was made on line and on the day of pick up, we were met by Sabrina. She greeted us with a smile and immediately helped us. She was friendly and professional. Our entire order was packaged wonderfully into two large bags and we confirmed everything was in order, we were on our way. It took less than 15 minutes to go in and leave with our order. Our guests at the company event loved the variety of sandwiches and they really enjoyed the pastry ring. All of the sandwiches were fresh and the coffee was hot. I overheard our guests comment that they were really impressed with the quality of the food and the large amount of extras such as napkins, stir sticks, creamers and packaged sugars that were included in the catering order. Absolute trash. What a pathetic excuse for a Panera restaurant. I was so happy I didn't need to drive to milbrae when they opened in the neighborhood. They suck at service and quality of food. They always mess us orders so double check take out orders. I went her many time and the only consistent thing is how awful they are. The staff have attitude issues. They don't label coffees and always run out of milk and half and half. If you ask them for it, they audibly sigh that they have to work. My recommendation would be to go to Panera in milbrae - you would be saving time even if you drive. Or go to Noah's bagels in foster city.
