When I walked in, the young lady serving me was leaning against a table with her gloved hands. She then came over to assist me while carrying on a conversation with another employee who had walked through the swinging doors. During the conversation, she used the same gloved hand to hold the door open. She then proceeded to grab my bowls and serve my food with those same gloves. Afterward, she went to the register and handled my payment without removing or changing her gloves. After I paid, I watched her take her cell phone out of her pocket and scroll on it while still wearing the same gloves. This is a basic food-safety concern. Gloves can become contaminated just as hands can, and they need to be changed frequently, especially after touching doors, personal items, money, or other potentially contaminated surfaces. Hands should also be washed appropriately between glove changes and food-handling tasks. Before handling clean plates or bowls and serving food, she should have put on a fresh pair of gloves, and those gloves should have been removed after handling the bagged food and before moving on to other tasks. I truly enjoy the food and would like to continue supporting the business, which is why I'm bringing this to your attention. Please consider retraining your staff on proper glove use, handwashing, and food-handling procedures. These are fundamental food-safety practices, and I hope this concern is taken seriously.

I tried the Tomahawk pork chop recently and it was delicious and a generous amount of food. Most steak places also know how to properly cook fish and the Salmon is always very good here. The three course meal deal is a good value if you are hungry and the dessert is a full size. It genuinely felt like there were some kind of air-conditioning issues happening, which already made sitting through dinner uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the service didn't make the experience any better. Our server, Diego, seemed annoyed from the very beginning. Maybe he was overworked or having a rough night, but he came across as unfriendly and irritated by fairly normal questions. We ordered a good variety for the table, including the deviled eggs, ranch onion rings, meatloaf, penne with steak, and chimichurri shrimp with mashed potatoes. When I asked whether the quinoa that came with a possible dish I was looking at, could be substituted for something else, Diego responded that it was "good for me" and that I should get it. That wasn't what I asked, and the response felt unnecessarily snarky. Then there was the margarita. Why are we putting regular table salt on the rim of a margarita? It may sound like a small detail, but at this price point and level of restaurant, the details matter. It just felt sloppy. The biggest issue, however, was my chimichurri shrimp. After cutting into one, I realized it was raw. Not slightly underdone. Raw. Eventually Diego came back around and I let him know. He took the plate away, but it took roughly another 30 minutes for the replacement shrimp to arrive. By that point, every single person I was dining with had finished their meal. I essentially sat there while my friends ate and then received my food after dinner was already over. What shocked me even more was that the meal wasn't comped. There was no meaningful attempt to make the situation right despite serving raw seafood and then taking another half hour to replace it. Mistakes happen in restaurants. Kitchens get backed up, servers have bad nights, and food occasionally needs to be remade. What separates a good restaurant from a disappointing one is how those mistakes are handled. Serving raw shrimp, leaving a guest without their meal while the rest of the table finishes, and then charging full price as though nothing happened is not good hospitality. Between the uncomfortable heat, dismissive service, questionable attention to detail, raw food, and the way the situation was ultimately handled, this completely put a damper on what was supposed to be a fun Friday night out with friends. Unfortunately, this one missed the mark in too many ways for me to overlook.

I asked what was managements response. The server suggested they comp one of 2 appetizers we ordered and the manager declined. What????? And the manager didn't visit our table to apologize! 3 people. Approx $150.00 bill and your manager won't comp a $10 appetizer after your team drops the ball more than once during a birthday event. You didn't even visit our table. Management 101 failure
