This is a pretty decent Panera location but I don't frequent it that often simply because it's smack-dab in the center of a major shopping hub, so it's always busy. Nonetheless, the staff is always friendly and it never takes very long to get your food/drink, whether you order inside or go through the drive-thru. I Love Panera and this one in Fredericksburg is my favorite. Almost always have a great experience. The staff here is usually GREAT! They have messed up my order on more than one occasion, but that can happen anywhere... at this Panera they always make it right and then throw in extra's to make up for their mistake and my extra time. Nine times out of ten my order is correct, but anytime it hasn't been they have been wonderful about making it right. I love the food. A few great selections for vegetarians, but I really wish they had some more vegan options. I know some people don't, but I love the drive through here... it has really helped me when I have been in a rush! I wish they stayed open later at night! read more

While I'm a fan of Panera, I advise against this location. We asked for clean utensils 3 times, and it was alternatively greasy and crusty. A regular leaned in to me and said "the silverware is never clean; I use the plastic." The manager then came over with some silverware that came "right out of the dishwasher" and defensively said they couldn't get it any cleaner. At that point I looked and noticed the plates and bowls weren't clean either. Not sure what the deal is with their dishwasher or process, but if the manager doesn't see there's a problem, it won't be fixed anytime soon. read more

There really is no way to describe the lack of caring or competency this place offers. This really is my last visit to Panera. It's morning. Not crowded. I order an avocado egg white sandwich and a coffee. What is served to me is the bread with a sliver of tomato, cheese, two spinach leaves and a piece of avocado. You can see there is something missing without opening the sandwich because it's flat, nearly empty. This has been what I have come to expect from here. After I wait for the food. 95% of the time I have to have it remade. This time was so obvious it's beyond comprehension. It's time to move on. Went there with a couple of friends for a Sunday afternoon lunch. I had their Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad with a slice of French baguette. The salad was worth its price, but was missing one of the ingredients listed in the menu: the croutons. It was quite good otherwise. My friend ordered the Orchard Harvest Salad and was missing as well some ingredients like the fresh pears and the gorgonzola toasted pecans. After requesting to add those ingredients to her salad, she enjoyed very much her salad. The atmosphere at Panera Bread is great for meeting friends. Being a long time customer of Panera Bread, my favorite dish is the clam chowder soup, unfortunately this dish is not served every day. I heart their broccoli cheese soup. It is super yummy! For the customer service I have had better experiences on the inside than in the drive thru. When I do go through the drive thru the person taking my order is often impatient which is annoying. The food temperature has been just right and I also love their chipotle chicken panini. What we were served was two thin, tasteless, barely toasted slices of bread held together with...maybe...six pieces of shredded bits of cheese. So...I came in to pick up my dinner and while I was waiting for the food. Multiple employees decided to hold a conversation with themselves and a few guests there age. They all blocked the walkway to the left of the bench. They were also very loud. I understand down time at work and being able to chitchat with coworkers but when the business is there the focus should be on the customer and not themselves. Ordered (and paid the price) for the turkey/avocado BLT and did request light mayo (because it gives you the option to do so on the online order for every topping and meat.) Sandwich was DRENCHED in mayo and had no tomato or avocado. So I paid almost 9 bucks for a Turkey BL sandwich in a pool of mayo. Really frustrating to only find this once I got home from running errands. Of course, I should check the order before leaving the restaurant and this has served as a great reminder for that. This location is convenient because it is amidst shopping centers, other restaurants, and gas stations, and also right off the highway for anyone who just wanted to make a quick stop! I got the Avocado, egg white, and spinach breakfast sandwich. It made me feel full and healthy. I also tried the orange crunch scone-YUMMM. Service was fast and the workers were funny. Stop by and grab your healthy breakfast (and obviously dessert-never skip dessert). Usually if you buy a meal, you can get any bakery item for $0.99. DO IT! 1st Bad experience here. We Decided to go through the drive thru. Ordered soup with baguettes and Sandwiches. The baguettes were torn in half rather than sliced and burnt on top. I am giving this location only two stars because of the lack of being clean. The food is good. I did enjoy my broccoli cheddar soup and salad. The big problem for me is I was here for lunch yesterday and noted the dining area was not clean. They had not done dishes such to that we had a metal fork and plastic knife. The friends that met up with us a few minutes later had both fork and knife as plastic. Then I decided to go for dinner tonight. I had to wash my own table because it was dirty. I once again had plastic eating utensils. It was NOT busy during our late dinner and yet the tables were never cleaned while we were there. I'm going to start out with the things I like about Panera. First of all their Mac n Cheese is amazing! The Strawberry Poppyseed Chicken Salad is also delicious. The salad is seasonal and I love that the ingredients are fresh. I also like the strawberries and cream scone and the bread in general is great. I am unimpressed by their cookies. I want so badly to like them, but for a place that bakes it's own stuff the cookies could really use some work. The main reason I am giving this place 3 stars is because of the drive-thru. I really don't know who thought putting a drive thru in at the busiest Panera in the area would be a good idea. I imagine the conversation went something like this "I know that parking is already a nightmare, but I have a great idea. Let's take out half of the parking spaces we have and put in a drive thru!" This is the most ridiculous idea ever. One because of the loss of parking spaces at a location that was already a pain in a butt to find parking in, but also because I wouldn't exactly consider Panera fast food. I mean it is to a degree, but I feel like it takes them a lot longer to prepare some items vs. a McDonalds that has a lot of stuff precooked sitting under a heat lamp. McDonalds can get you through a drive thru fairly quickly because a lot of stuff has been made in advance. A lot of Panera's items are made to order so the only time I have found the drive thru to be fast was when I was the only car in it. To me that completely defeats the purpose. The funny thing is half of the people I talk to about the drive thru don't even know that it exists and it has been there for about a year now. I say take out the drive thru and put the parking spaces back. That would be more beneficial to your customers. read more

So I usually love Panera, but this location is terrible. Nice that they have a drive through so you can get a quick coffee, but when the girl at the window squeezes your cup as she's handing it over, and scolding hot coffee runs down your hand and arm.. not so fun. On another occasion I got the tomato mozzarella panini, and it tasted really funky. I've had this dish several times, as its my go-to, so I know how it should taste. There was some kind of spread on the inside that was really pungent and off. I'll drive to the next one up the road instead of going here in the future. Thanks for the burn. read more

I used to frequent this Panera when I lived here, but this time I am only back for a visit. Had quick service with friendly staff. I enjoy that their is food natural and not full of hormones/pesticides. I love the acai and hibiscus tea. I sometimes stop in just to get that. I'm happy this location started to place calories beside food selections. I think it helps to make responsible decisions. Although the flip flop cookies for summertime are pretty cute! read more

I absolutely love the Rapid Pick Up service. It helps me avoid the long lines at Panera. I am able to run in get my sandwich and walk out the greatest of ease. My only complaint is that sometimes they don't pay attention to the customized order. You don't find out until you are already home and about to go in on your sandwich. By that time you don't feel like going back in to have it changed. read more
