Bacon Turkey Bravo with extra veggies; never an additional charge
Herman P.

Heading down to AL and I'm tired of junk food fast food near interstate. Saw exit with Panera. Always know gettting quality food and filing at sit down comfort. Ordered Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich with extra veggies. Looks and tastes delicious; chips included all for $12

It's okay. Hey it's bread, salads and soups. Is that really all that exciting or is it just a place to be seen? Your money, your choice

The baked beans are very flavorful and delicious too. I usually order the bone-in ribs, but you never know what you're gonna get. Sometimes they're meatier and juicier; other times they're cooked more, with a burnt-like skin. I personally like a little fat on mine, and those portions often lack that. But then come the onion rings. Oh my. I tried them today, and they were wonderful. Some Yelpers complained you don't get many. Well, I had to bag some up because I couldn't finish them alongside my other sides. These are not rings -- these are onion wreaths. Huge slices, made in-house, with a breading so good it should be illegal. I will definitely order them again, and I recommend others risk the carb coma. In fact, I bagged up most of my other sides too. It was a lot of food for one sitting. I felt like a bear preparing for hibernation. My husband commented that Memphis is known for barbecue, but Alabama has some great places too. Full Moon Barbeque is a prime example. Oh, and if you want to sample something on the menu, they're happy to oblige. I wasn't sure about an item, so they let me try it - much better than ordering a full portion and being disappointed. Honestly, I don't think you'll be dissatisfied with anything on the menu. The service here is excellent. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and mannerly. They genuinely want to make sure you enjoy your food. They check on you without hovering, and they seem to actually care about your experience, not just turning tables. It's the kind of service that makes you want to come back. One more thing: if you want authentic Southern sweet tea, order it here. It's mouthwatering -- literally. The kind of sweet tea that makes your eyes close for a second after the first sip. Add a lemon slice, and you'll want more even after you've quenched your thirst.

I love that the catfish is crispy on the outside but still tender and flavorful on the inside. I also really like the Village Salad it's fresh and light, which balances out the heavier parts of my meal. I usually pair it with their French fries because I can't resist the crispy, golden texture. Excellent service and dining experience. Great spot for business dinners or lunch with friends. I've tried looking at their vegetarian options too, and while I don't usually get them, I think they have some solid choices. I like that I can customize a salad or get a few sides to make a meal that's vegetarian-friendly. I think Tasty Town does a good job of offering something for everyone. I personally stick to my usual catfish meal, but I feel like I could explore more of their options if I wanted to try something different. Overall, I really enjoy my lunches there, and I always feel satisfied and happy with my choices.

This review is specifically for the catered/box lunches we recently enjoyed from Tasty Town…read more Each lunch was boxed separately and included the silverware packet. That's a huge plus; the number of times I've seen referees having to pass on the side because they didn't have utensils! The entree was a chicken pita. It did have a few fresh onions, but I enjoyed them since I didn't have to be the one dragon breathing around the field all day. We did have a choice of roasted potatoes or basmati rice. The potatoes went much quicker than the rice; I had the potatoes and they were fantastic. There was also a tray of chocolate chip cookies provided. I don't think they were frash made; they looked similar to other restaurants generic chocolate chip cookies. They were a nice addition to the lunch, though. They also provided sweet and unsweet tea in gallon jugs.
