Haven't been to Panera in a while and it was the first time for the hubs. We each got 1/2 sandwich and soup combos. $24 lunch. anyway, the 1/2 sandwich was really just half bread and 1/4 sandwich. I came here today to have lunch and I ordered half sandwich the chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato with avacodo with NO mayonnaise (severe allergy) along with a side of broccoli and cheese soup. Took 2 bites of the sandwich and I started to realize I was having a reaction. My throat felt tight. I took my sandwich apart and what do you know mayonnaise all in my sandwich. I was so upset and angry I threw the sandwich away ate my soup and left. I prolly should of just left when I got there because as I was looking at the pastries there were flies all over them. We especially love(d) when DeNice, Holly, Jennifer, and Ruth are here as their expertise, warmth, ability to interact with everyone regardless and level of care and attention is stellar! We were saddened when DeNice was transferred to another location - her absence created a substantial void in all ways - there is just something about her presence that impacts and catapults the overall ambience and atmosphere to a top tier level! But, today was magical when we came in and there she was, our beloved DeNice! She really is an over-the-top savvy great public persona! I'm very disappointed today. I've been to this location multiple times since it's right down the road from my house and it's never perfect, but today just put the nail in the coffin for me. So I ordered ahead, and opted for the curbside pickup option as I'm trying to be as safe and as contactless as possible due to an immune-illness. So I figured I would save myself a trip inside and potentially getting exposed to Covid, by choosing car side service. I ordered my food at 12:01 pm. Confirmation email was sent, and I clicked on the "I'm here" tab ten minutes later. Figuring I might be a little early due to lunch rush, I waited not thinking anything of it and giving them 15-20 minutes to prepare and package my 4 meals. As time passed and more and more people received their food via curbside that pulled up after I did, I started getting irritated. I called the store twice, and the automated answering message doesn't even give you an option to talk to an employee other than for catering. At this point it is 12:50pm and I finally had it and walked inside. No one was able to help or answer my questions, so I decided to check all the bags left out for rapid pickup inside the little shelves. Behold, there was my bag, and my drink. My soda's Ice had completely melted and was flat at that point, and all of my family's (hot) lunches were cold due to the fact that they were sitting out for the better part of 45 minutes as I waited outside in my car where it was supposed to be brought out. Then when I got home to add insult to injury, my order was incorrectly made PLUS they didn't put any sides (for 4 meals!) or silverware in my bag. No chips, bread, or apples, or any ways to eat said meals. And made my sandwich completely wrong and I was unable to eat it due to an allergy. I am NOT one to complain but me and my mother went in on Friday April 7th, we have never been there. We tried to ask questions and weren't helped like I thought could of been. Had lunch Thursday about 12:30, man this store has it working. The lady that took our order was fast, friendly and efficient. When the food came out it was delivered by a lady that was nice and friendly. My wife asked for butter, yes I'll be right back. Bam she was and asking if we needed anything else. The food was hot and fresh. A great sandwich and salad. I saw someone who I assume was the manager, he was friendly and very helpful to us and his staff. They have messed up my order for breakfast twice now..when I call in an order and I am asked what time I want it ready and I give you the time, that is the time I want it ready for me to pick it up, NOT the time I want you to start making it! I have not had any problems with lunch and I continue to order lunch, but I wont give them the opportunity to mess up my breakfast a third time. OMG! I finally found my perfect TO GO breakfast place! Normally I would just drive by because I never thought of them as having good breakfast and I can always get a better breakfast some where else. The American chains continue to disappoint. 4-5 years ago smaller chains like Panera were a savior for veggies - with that one veggie sandwich on their menu. But now that almost all good restaurants and food trucks have an extensive vegetarian menu; they are not able keep up. I am noticing this trend in several chains, they are offering a veg menu but are dramatically reducing their veg ingredients to save cost. Usually it's just tomatoes and mushrooms. Meat is cheap to procure so they offer plenty of options there. Most chain employees seem to be trained in being heavy handed with cheese and bread, but very light handed with vegetables (especially the expensive ones like peppers and avocado). With most chains, veggie options are nothing but cheese and cheap mushrooms. This location was new and we were around so gave it another shot. The Mediterranean veggie sandwich was small, sparsely stacked with vegetables and barely any spread. No real taste. There was literally one slice of cucumber, tomato and a small ring of onion - that too only on one of the two sandwiches we ordered. No pickle and even the side of chips bag was smaller. The Mac and cheese had no salt or pepper. The ambiance of this Panera is new so it was updated and had nice outdoor seating as well. They still have a good bakery and decent beverages. Probably the worst sandwich I ever had in my life. I really wanted to like this place too! My wife and I went here for dinner last night. We both ordered a 1/2 sandwich and soup combo. I had the steak and cheese and she had an avocado turkey BLT. Let me just say, the sandwiches looked gross, and tasted even worse. My sandwich was flat, the steak was not the thin "Philly cheese steak" that I expected (I expected it because I asked before I ordered), it was think, undercooked, and tasteless. It just tasted terrible, I ended up scraping off the meat and eating just the bread. My wife's sandwich was so bad, we ended up having to return it and asking for a grilled cheese. The bacon was undercooked and rubbery looking (like they microwaved it), the turkey was chunky, but not in the nice "oh look, thanks giving dinner" way, but in the "did someone chew this up and spit it out" type of way. The soups were bland, but passable. I'm not going to go back, the baked goods looked fresh, and the bread that came with the soup was good. read more

Although a bit expensive, there are several items on the menu that are worthwhile. However, this location is the worst. Over the past three years, without exception, either they are out of something, the order is incorrect or the wait is ridiculous. Drive through is frequently backed up or a vehicle is parked so the drive through cannot be used. Last week the drive through was closed. I went in, ordered at the kiosk and waited 30 minutes to receive my order. Even then it was missing an item. I don't know if the employees need better training, more supervision or more staff. Hope they get it addressed before the restaurant is closed from lack of business. read more

Horrible service! Young girls working there were loud enough that we couldn't hold a conversation. Food was not prepared correctly. Tasted good but wasn't how we ordered it. The girls working were way more interested in socializing with another off duty co-working than taking care of customers. Sadly, I did not enjoy my first time at this location. I ordered a Roasted Turkey Cranberry flatbread. There was about 3 cranberries and 3 leaves of spinach, hardly any of the garlic spread, and to top it off the sandwich was not made with care (very messy, which isn't really a characteristic of flat bread sandwiches). After I added some of my own cranberry sauce it was tasty, but this poorly made sandwich was not worth the $9. I'd love to try back again though. read more

I order bagels all the time online and specify exactly what I want and what time ill be there to pick it up. Upon arrival 5 minutes after scheduled pick up time, the order wasnt ready...again. if you order something from this Panera and expect an order to be on time, you wont get it. Wish I could less than one star. Came in starving from a long trip a full half hour before close. Just wanted a half sandwich and cup of soup. I waited near the counter. They asked me to go sit. TWENTY-FIVE minutes later -yes just as store was closing- a waitress asked oh did you have the soup and sandwich? I heard her go around the corner and ask another server to make it BECAUSE SHE ACCIDENTALLY GAVE MY ORDER TO SOMEONE ELSE. About 5-10 min later out comes food but the soup had clearly been watered down and chalky and he baguette became a hard roll. The waitress told me oh they can give you a treat at the front for the wait. Guess what 5min after close there are no treats left. I settled for a leftover bagel rather than nothing. The service was very poor. No one seemed interested that we walked in. T one server was busy with a customer and the other employees went about their business as if we weren't there. Chose to use Kiosk but needed a receipt, asked 3 times before I was able to get a copy. Food was good, no complaints on quality or taste, just poor customer service. read more

What a waste of money. I'd been to Panera before and wasn't impressed. But when the one in Georgetown opened up I decided to give them a try. I ordered a large full size sandwich. When delivered it literally looked like two pieces of bread. I opened up the sandwich to try and find the meat that I expected. Upon opening my sandwich up I found four small pieces of meat. They were placed next to each other for a total of one layer. And the four slices didn't even cover the bread. I basically paid 9 bucks for some bread with a slight meat flavor. Second bad experience at a Panera. Unless I hear of changes I probably won't ever go back. I had really hoped for a better experience. read more

Horrible experience every time I go there. Panera Bread gives you what they want to give you not what you order. They will give you half orders but charge you for full. They will give you food that is completely different than what you ordered. You go through the drive thru and do not know this until you get home and there is no way to contact location by phone. If you make a complaint and the manager at customer service contacts you and offers you another try when you go back to the location you are still treated horribly. Beware you will be charged for a full order & receive a half. Beware you will get something different then what you ordered. Panera is by far one of my favorite places for breakfast and lunch. Their quiches are amazing, their "muffies" are excellent, the bagels are always a hit at the office. For lunch I shoot for a half sandwich and soup because the full sandwiches and a cup of soup are always too much to eat. I've been to multiple locations, but on the several times I've been to this one it is apparent that they are new and all the staff are still trying to learn their craft. I'm not going to fault them for that at this point and will continue going there. Hopefully with a few months of "walking the walk" the staff will get in line with the normal Panera culture and be outstanding. So glad I have a Panera close now. read more

Lunch time seems to be the best time to hit this location..this is when they seem to have their "A" game Going. Relatively quick moving lines, food comes out quickly and accurately. Its a chain qith a heavy focus on "clean" food. It tastes good and is well prepared. In the evenings they seem to run out of items, service is a little slower...staff is less well trained. Had dinner there tonight and the got the order wrong, and were out of several things we had ordered at the ordering kiosk. The frazzled, inexperienced waitress fixed everything but it did take her a few tries. No place is perfect all the time, and if they can fix the issues quickly and seem to care about the problems I am happy to continue showing up. read more

I had 2 bad experiences at Panera Bread when I ordered large size but was given half sized on my order but charged for large. One of the managers called me and offered me 2 meals to make up for these 2 bad experiences. When I went to get these 2 meals they did the same thing to me. Instead of getting a large mac n cheese I was given a half order. Are the employees taking the other half of our orders home? I visit this location often and they are always clean and friendly however today they went above and beyond. I generally work from this location and will buy a drink and breakfast as I work. They are always smiling and the employees are helpful. I purchased (2) $20 gift cards for gifts but then later decided I needed 4. I requested that the gift cards be exchanged for 4 $10 cards and without hesitation one employee and the general manager Greg spent 15 plus minutes looking back in the system to try to refund and exchange my cards even after I had lost the receipt. Greg had done this all even before he had taken off his jacket ( I got him as he entered the door). This location is well run and I appreciate the kindness that Greg and his employees have shown me today. A friendly reminder of exceptional customer service right in time for the Holidays. read more

I'm giving this restaurant to stars, at least for my meal. My wife's meal and her friends appeared to be fine, but my chicken noodle soup was lacking the chicken and lacking normal sized noodles. The best way I can describe the chicken in my soup is, "Fragment of chicken pieces", as far as the noodles they were cut into eight to quarter inch pieces, so it basically became a chicken broth with fragments of noodles and chicken , very little to no vegetables. What the hell has happened to the quality of food at Panera bread?? I won't be visiting this restaurant anytime soon, until We can go buy a cooking book just for soup alone so they can learn what a chicken noodle soup is supposed to look like. The picture on the website looks fantastic the noodles are huge the chicken pieces are huge but the actual dish if you get it to go , it's just chicken broth.
