I made my way to Panera on a rainy afternoon to get my reward I had on my Panera app. I had to decide on either the smoothie or the new frozen Java drink. I went with the New Snickerdoodle frozen Java to give it a try. It was recommended as it has less sugar in it than the smoothie. Im so glad I decided on my flavor drink as it was so good and delicious. Now I will have to try the other 2 as I hope they keep it on the menu. It didn't take long to get it as the manager made it for me right away without having to wait long. read more

Had to have a quick lunch so stopped in and found the restaurant to be pretty busy. Placed my order at the kiosk as a to go order with texting when the order was ready. Waited about 10 minutes for the order to be ready but didn't see a text message. Could have missed it but the person on the register directed me where to pick up my order. There wasn't much in the way of signage to tell you specifically where the order would be. Picked up my order, checked to make sure it was correct which it was. Caesar salad which included romaine lettuce shave parmesan (nice touch) cheese, and croutons. Two small containers of dressing were supplied but I asked for a third as I had a feeling the salad would be 'dry' otherwise and I'm glad I asked for the third. Also fresh roll also came with the meal. Knife, fork and napkins were supplied. Salad was a good portion for lunch, lettuce was fresh and crispy as it should be, and the shave parmesan slices were large so you got plenty of flavor from them. Croutons were nice and crisp to provide that crunch. All in all a good salad and not too expensive, about $9.00. The restaurant had plenty of comfortable seating with a combination of booths and tables. Looked like a pretty inviting atmosphere even if it was a little noisy. Will stop in again if I need a quick lunch. read more

Every time I go to this Panera they forget the baguette loaf. I placed a family meal pickup order and asked if it was ready before grabbing it. The guy at the counter said yes, so I checked to make sure the baguette was in there. Surprise surprise, no baguette. When I told him, he ripped off a little piece of bread and put it in the bag. I was about to crash out so I had my boyfriend go back in to get the loaf. They did give him the loaf, but I'm so fed up with this same issue every time I go to this Panera - will not be going back if I can help it. read more

Service lately not great Ordered soup today was like warm and asked to have it micro waved for 30 seconds . Obviously annoyed employee said no but I'll give you a new soup . Was concerned same result would be had but went along as he was not happy with me . New soup comes same result ask again for it to be warmed , now angered agrees has one of his charges warm it up . Ok fine it's lunch rush but for a 20.00 lunch I prefer hot soup . I eat lunch here twice a week at least and have also inquired about the wi fi not working . Good ol' Panera bread. Reliable and, in a way, a landmark in Glastonbury's town center. It stays open later than lots of the other establishments, and there are always enough seats in case you want to linger for a while. Even when it's busy, the line moves decently fast. Never have I ever had such a horrible experience in this Panera. It's very unfortunate that this location went to my favorite Panera to one of the worst. Social distancing is enforced and that's great ! Masks are worn by all employees. Gloves are limited to just individuals handling food in the kitchen. The individual calling our name out was not wearing gloves despite touching our utensils and placing them into the bag. The cashier was extremely friendly and thorough. He provided information with a smile on his face. This is the first time we've gone indoors for Panera since COVID-19. We walked to the pick up area and waited. The individual who appeared to be the manager told us to "go take a seat and I'll call your name when it's ready". We asked if we could get our drink and she says in a snappy tone, "when you get your food you can have your drink". We walked away and sat down and waited 10 minutes for our food. When we get our food, we noticed that we got a broccoli cheddar soup instead of a broccoli Mac and cheese so I approached the manager and informed her if this mistake. She seemed extremely hesitant and confused. I showed her the receipt and pointed at the broccoli Mac and cheese. She then responded, "okay so then you need the regular broccoli Mac and cheese" in which I responded yes. She yells back at the kitchen to get a regular Mac and cheese. She apologized for the situation but I still got the wrong item. We then did not have napkins so we walked up to request for napkins and an extra spoon. The manager looked over to me and said "you don't have some in your extra bag?". We proceeded to say "no" so she called the back for some. She gave us napkins but did not give us a spoon. At this point, it was a lose- lose situation where efficiency was not capable and the stressors of a customer being attacked for their simple questions was not worth my time so we left. After church, Me and my friends join here for catching up. For breakfast their menu is limited compared to @glastonbury Coffee house. Their soufflé is fresh and flavourful. Their coffees are good enough to make me to goto bathroom, after I reach home . Their service is prompt. I really like the small token which vibrates when your order is ready. Place is clean and tidy. I like the way their tables can be moved for different group sizes. I like sitting by their fireplace when needed some heat. Interesting people. Usually the folks after their Sunday sports activities swing by for quick breakfast. I have heard their lunch menu stands out.would give a try when possible. read more

This is definitely one the classier Panera's I've been to. The place is huge and there's plenty of seating on ether side of the registered. The employee that took my order was so friendly and efficient. My buzzer rang quickly and my food was yummy. This panera uses fancier dishes than any I have seen before. Also a great spot to study. My only complaint is that they switched from the yummy shaved parm in the Caesar salad to the cheaper grated shaker kind. ALSO... ask for light dressing if you don't enjoy soggy lettuce swimming in your salad bowl. read more

So disappointed- this was my favorite panera but tonight certainly not their best. Had two orders strawberry poppyseed salad /grilled cheese. When I went to pick up meal oh we don't have that salad it's out of season (not my order it was for my 83 yr old friend). So quickly had to pick something for her she doesn't like dark meat ck (dressing on the side They put the dressing on the salad) - my fault I diff so my read it had dark meat on that salad. I ordered green salad with chicken and grilled cheese - salad came no chicken and grilled cheese was cold. I was standing there waiting and saw the sandwich open on the counter as I was waiting for salad. It wasn't very appetizing they thought nothing of it. It was not appealing at all. This was one of the dirtiest Panera's I've ever been to. The carpets were not vacuumed or swept. There were crumbs underneath the tables to the point that flies were nipping at my legs because the found a treasure trove of food under there. The tables were not clean. And, something was not right with my Thai Chicken Salad. My chocolate chip cookie tasted two days old. My Summer Corn Chowder soup tasted like plastic. My guess is that their soup comes in plastic bags? That's my review. It's Panera. Not the best dining, but come on. You guys can do better than this. Standards, people. read more

You can never go wrong with a Panera Lunch. I am a particular big fan of their half soup/salad/or sandwich combos. I've been eating the BBQ chicken salad with the black bean soup lately which is a GREAT combo. For days when I'm not going with the "usual" I am never upset with anything I eat. Highly recommended. Just had breakfast here. I wolfed down my souffle, to and my wife lived her breakfast panini. The coffee was hot, the soda was fizzy.....The only glitch was my free birthday pastry. Having been to this location in the past, I was a little surprised by the Yelp reviews that I saw this morning before I went in...and actually a little hesitant about going to this location because of how poorly people had rated their customer service. They were busy, though not the busiest I've ever seen them. That being said, the staff were moving people through at a great pace. I had a couple tech questions about the app which the manager, who was at the bagel/pastry area to keep things at their steady pace on the main registers, answered with way more patience than I'd expect from anyone in customer service this close to Christmas. This one used to be awesome but it's going downhill fast. Came in Saturday 7:30 for a late dinner and they looked like they were getting ready to close. There was even what appeared to be a manager scoop up muffins with her purse on a cart and packaged them up for her to take home while customers were trying to order pastries. Just unbelievable. I verified with the associate that they indeed closed at 9pm. Thankfully my daughter ordered mac and cheese which gets reheated out of a bag. I attempted to get a noodle bowl but it was a disaster. Pretty busy Panera Bread location. Every time I stop in the lot is packed. This doesn't always translate into a packed store though. Lines can be hit or miss. Thankfully, I can usually stop in after the morning rush. Very consistent (and tasty!!) breads, bagels and pastries. I cannot comment on the cookies, I haven't been that naughty yet. Lunch items seem a bit over priced for the portions, but the quality is better than subway (nearest sandwich competitor). I know it's a calorie buster, but their soup in a bread bowl is sooo yummy. That's my favorite way to eat clam chowder (even when it's a pretty sysco-y chowder). When it's in season, I really like the strawberry salad...but alas, it is February and that won't be back until June at the earliest. Waste of money. Order a grilled cheese sandwich and it certainly does NOT look like the picture they have hanging. Barely any cheese. Came here for a quick dinner, but it turned out to be quite a long one... We placed our order at the register, paid, and waited for our food. It was pretty busy, around 6:30pm on a Friday, and many people were waiting. After about a half hour, we got up to ask where our food was. They asked to see our receipt to see what we had ordered. We gave them the receipt and sat back down, assuming they were now making our food. Another half hour goes by and we go back up....we had now been there for an hour and we were pretty frustrated. We saw and heard others complaining about various things being wrong with their order, so it seemed like they were having a trouble-filled night. They once again asked for our receipt, but we no longer had it as we had handed it over after the first half hour of wait time. We ended up having to go back to the register and re-order everyone's meal. The reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 1 was because, although this was a frustrating ordeal, they did the right thing and refunded us our money due to the 1 hour wait. Also, a nice girl came up to our table when we were done with dinner, offering us a free dessert item. We declined, but it was still a polite and appreciated gesture. I understand everyone is human and mistakes happen, so it's nice to see some places still do the right thing to try to make it up to the customer. read more

I never really know what to think about Panera. For what is basically fast food, they seem to have real ambitions to raise the standards both of their ingredients and their combinations. On my most recent visit, they managed to get both of them right. The sandwich in question is the Turkey Bravo, which won a lot of points for a tasty spread, Gouda cheese, and perfectly done bacon. The bread, a tomato basil, gave it a very nice foundation as well. The counter service was very brisk - for some reason there was only one person at a register, but she kept that line moving - and both the deli crew and the barrista turned the orders around quickly. Add in a variety of comfortable seating options and free wifi, and you should have a winner. On the occasions when Panera misses, they don't miss by much. I just end up feeling like this should have been just a bit better, as if they haven't come up to their ambitions. But as a comfortable place to eat, drink tea, and get ready for the next item on my calendar, it works. read more

I frequent Panera often and this location didn't disappoint. The lobby is quiet despite the heavy traffic that was there during the dinner rush and the food was the quality to be expected. The location could be a bit hard to find as it is nestled into a plaza where Glastonbury must have zoning laws that prevent color from being used. All the stores shared to same style and color for their signage on the outside. Keeps it classy I suppose. Overall a nice location. read more

I usually don't eat anything here. I really just come for the iced green tea Ex large as big as I can get it!!! But not today,I got cookies too, the short bread cookies called to me, speaking words of over indulgence, buttery, soft, yummy goodness. This establishment is just like the rest of the chain. Although Panera is primarily my go-to place for good bread (love the sough-dough). But I'm having some dental work done and I need something I didn't need to chew and their soups are always very good. I had the Tomato today and it was excellent. The small crowd was processed quickly and I was seated and eating in minutes. I finished with a black cherry smoothie through a remarkably large diameter straw making it easy to drink. Excellent. I just don't have any complaints today. Maybe next time. read more
