    Ultimate Gyro with beef!
    Sam B.

I was so excited to try this place after my dentist appointment, and it was right across the street. Took around 15 minutes from when I ordered online to pick up my order, and it wasn't super busy inside for dinner time, only 1 other person. I ordered the Ultimate Gyro and it was PACKED with stuff. So much meat, a fluffy pita, and tons of toppings. I honestly could eat this every night. The version I ordered had two types of sauce, and I honestly wish I stuck to just the tzatziki, but theres always next time! I also saw they have Gyro bowls, which I can't wait to try. I got waffle fries on the side, they were delicious and I was given HUGE portion. I probably could've made this meal stretch our for 2 nights if I wanted to. Counting down the days until my next dentist appointment (that's a weird one to say) until I can go back again!

Wrapped Ultimate Gyro and Side Greek Salad

I used to visit Tapas when it was in West Hartford, and even the Tapas that used to be on Ann Street in Downtown Hartford back in the day. Tapas spoiled me for other similar places in two ways. First, when you order their Ultimate Gyro, you get -- not one sauce -- TWO sauces. Tzatziki and Mad Greek sauce (a tangy red sauce). For years, I would go to other places and try to order two sauces, and they would look at me like I was crazy. Two, I was addicted to their Greek salad dressing. When the WeHa location closed, I entered a 13 Step Program (yeah it was that bad), and now I'm OK, but it was touch and go for a little bit. It's not like the Bloomfield location is the longest drive from my Newington home, but I couldn't bring myself to make the drive. Two weeks ago, I learned from Yelper Laura B's review that Tapas opened as a takeout business (in the old Spicy Green Bean space on Hebron). That's about 10 minutes for me. I visited for lunch for an Ultimate Beef Gyro and a side Greek salad. I also bought a bottle of the Greek Salad Dressing. The Tapas beef mixture and the pita are both good, but what I really love is the two sauces and the amount of veggie toppings. Lettuce. Tomato. Red Onion. The Ultimate Gyro is a better than the sum of its parts kind of thing. You can get fries, including great waffle fries, as your side. But I was craving the Greek salad. The dressing never disappoints. It's so herb and spice-filled and delicious. I also like the way that the good feta comes in small pieces so it distributes well. The pitted olives are tangy and very satisfying as well. I'm happy to have a Tapas nearby again. It's part of the lunch rotation for me. An enthusiastic Four Stars.

Ok, now this is a pickup spot and I'll admit I've never actually been the one to go in and pick up the food! I have ordered and it's been ready on time, and is always fresh and the protein is hot as it should be, so I have no complaints about service. I LOVED and was a regular at Tapa's in WeHa before it closed, so I was thrilled to be able to get my favorite Tapa's Greek salad nearby again when this spot opened! The almost famous dressing is as delicious as I remembered, and I actually think I need a bottle soon! The salmon I ordered with one of my salads was still hot and cooked perfectly medium rare, while packed separately as to not heat up any parts of my fresh cold salad! I am a fan, I was a fan and am still a huge fan...and kind of wish this spot was in my town! But, it's not that far so I will continue to get my favorite Greek salads! The feta is just different and better than what my go to replacement favorite was before this location opened! I remember my mom's boyfriend asking how he could go back to crappy store bought hummus after trying some of Tapas hummus, and well, that's a great question! It will never be the same again once you get things here that you thought were good elsewhere. You will be spoiled, and you'll want it again and again. We even ordered from the winery in town one evening! Perfect solution, we didn't want cheese and crackers they sell at the winery, and Tapas is to go only so this was a win-win solution, that I recommend!

I feel like I've been hearing about the wonder that is Tapas for years and when they opened a location in Glastonbury, I knew I had to try it out! I will definitely update this review once I try more menu items but I was craving a salad the other day and I had heard so many amazing things about their Greek salad so that's what I got! The salad definitely lived up to my expectations as it was loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, onion, and I opted for grilled chicken and they provided a huge amount. Don't even get me started on their Greek dressing, because I now fully understand why it's so famous. It had the most incredible flavor that I can't even begin to describe. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

First time here and I think it's safe to say I would definitely come back. Just so you are aware it is solely a take out place. The parking is a little difficult to figure out in the dark if you have never been but there are spaces right in front. The food was very good. I got the simple hummus with pita and the hummus had a good flavor. I also ordered the ultimate gyro with the combo chicken and beef. It was quite yummy, my only complaint would be the lack of meat, definitely could've used a lot more meat for the price you pay, I was a little disappointed. I imagined it would be stuffed with a little lettuce but had more lettuce than meat. For the meat that was there it tasted pretty good the sauces all had good flavor. I also enjoyed the side of Greek salad with feta, salad dressing was great!

Oh how I missed you and your deliciousness Tapas. I was so excited to hear about Tapas opening a takeout location in Glastonbury. And the wait is finally over. Now you know this first visit had to include the Ultimate Gryo loaded with meat and tatziki and mad Greek sauce let me tell you it did not disappoint. With a side of Greek salad to top it off oh my Lord it was heavenly. Just as I remembered if you haven't had a meal from Tapas and are a fan of Gyros and Greek Salad you are missing out. Also don't forget to grab yourself a bottle of dressing to elevate your salads at home....you'll be thanking me. Can't wait to go back and get their to die for hummus platter....oh I'm in trouble with you being so close by Tapas.

We placed orders for 12 of us over the phone today, we went to pick up the goods around an hour later. I got their Italian Sandwich this time. Previously I've had several of the salads. I think collectively my office has had their entire menu. From sandwiches, to salads, to pizzas, to lasagna and more. Every single meal has always been super fresh, where all you can hear is "mmmmmMmmmms..." My lunch was served on a freshly baked Italian hoagie roll, filled with roasted peppers, ham, tomatoes, mixed greens, capicola and provolone cheese. In addition to each and every single ingredient being super fresh, this was also a very large portion. I could have easily shared the other half with someone else, had it on another day or ate it right after the first portion... which one did I do? The restaurant it's self is little and very cute, it was full at 12:00 o'clock today. If you're looking for a quick and fresh lunch or dinner around the Wethersfield area, Lenoci's will check each of your boxes.

I always thought the concept was pretty cool and I headed in fully intending on ordering the Phorito but I saw Al pastor tacos and the plethora of fresh toppings so I had to try those. My daughter got the original pho on the children's menu and we shared the nachos with queso. I also got a lime margarita and my daughter got a mango boba tea. I'm not kidding when I say the total came to 50$. I was so shocked since I'm used to spending at least 75 when the two of us go out. I tried my daughter's pho and the flavor was definitely there. The tacos were amazing. So so good. The set up is like chipotle. The toppings I chose were sour cream, hot sauce, fresh jalapeños, cilantro, radish, and red onion. There's also a fire chilli sauce that I got a side of over by the plasticware and napkins. Elevated the tacos even more. Chefs kiss! I will be back to try the infamous Phorrito and the only reason I knocked a star was because the rice and beans were not that great as a side. Everything else was fabulous!

With whole foods no longer doing sushi made to order, that leaves only main gugh, sakura garden, and tisumi sushi as driving distance sushi places. Not anymore, poke don is now in the area and they are pretty good! The setup is similar to their manchester location. you got a sparse dining area and a cafeteria style long desk to do your ordering. you pay for your bowl, and the person follows you along to help you design and make your bowl. The panels behind the station tell you what you can add at that station, and the server will follow you along the entire way, adding whatever you want to your bowl. By the end, you got a rice bowl with all the flavors you could want and then some. I usually opt for salmon and tuna, with sushi rice, edamame, onions, crispy onions, crispy garlic, a scoop of kani salad, a scoop of spicy crab, and a drizzle of eel sauce over everything. I sometimes mix up the veggies or the sauces, but that's my base. The rice is cooked well, sometimes they don't season the rice well enough, but it still comes out okay. the portions are fairly big, especially if you ask for extra veggies. the spicy sauces have a little zing to them, but not really hot. The price is actually pretty good too. for the price of a specialty sushi roll, you get a big bowl of sushi with all the same flavors. It's not amazing quality, they do stumble on their flavors sometimes. but it's pretty good for pretty cheap, and sometimes you just want a lot of something that's pretty good.

I received my food. It even had to be heated. And I had to wait 10 minutes for them to give me my black iced coffee. Even though there are only two or three people waiting in the drink area. And that was after I said something. So who knows how long it would have taken. This isn't because of lack of effort. The baristas were doing things. They're making lots of drinks. But it's not clear for whom. They finish the drinks and they don't call people's names. Maybe they're for to go orders? I understand that restaurants need to make choices about how they run things. All I can say is, that it's not a good experience to get all of your food and you have to wait for a black iced coffee (a drink that takes very minimal effort) for 10 minutes. Even though you're one of only a few people in the drink area. I'm not going to change my review score. But these experiences definitely affect how often I visit.
