Just got a bagel. I've never have gotten or cut a bagel where the proportions were so wrong. It made part of it burn. I'm just saying if they're skipping on quality of just cutting a bagel properly, how bad is the quality of everything else here? Update: tried a bite and it was hard as hell. Who knows how long it's been sitting around. Please just avoid this Panera or you too may get an inedible $3 bagel. read more

Your average Panera Bread. We did drive-thru on Saturday night, as we were seeking caffeine and driving from Grand Haven back to Holland, where our hotel was. We are both Sip Club members so we were able to give the drive-thru employee our phone numbers to look up our accounts. We both ordered Diet Pepsi with no ice, and the order came out correct. Very convenient location for a Panera, too (right off of US-31) so I would stop by again when in the Grand Haven area. read more

Ordered poppyseed salad without chicken and still got chicken. Ordered cheddar broccoli soup and they didn't secure the top so it spilled all over my bread , salad , and utensils. And the soup was spilled all on the outside of the soup cup. It's as if they just tossed my soup into the bag. I burned my hand grabbing the cup because the lid was not even on so I touched the hot soup. read more

Mobile ordered at about 4pm and the food started being made at about 4:20 when I went up and asked where it was (when it said it would be out at rapid pick up by 4:15). They also don't make the iced coffee for you and the lid/straw/ice are on completely different sides of the store so that wasn't a fun time....put the iced coffee stuff with the iced tea maybe? On to the sandwiches - I got the turkey avocado BLT and the avocado was completely unsliced and just smushed under half the sandwich and the turkey wasn't even separated - it was on the other(non-avocado) side in a strange clump. The avocado magically made its way on to the top of the sandwich rather than the inside...On top of that, there was a nice dark hair in the sandwich. I brought in the whole sandwich and the manager didn't even give me the time of day. Luckily one of the cashier ladies was nice enough to take it back and replace it, so many thanks to the one sweet employee that was competent enough to help me. read more

We are big fans typically. This was the worst Panera we have been to. Went in to get a Baker's Dozen and the bagel selection was pitiful. Got home and all the bagels tasted like they were a day old, not fresh. We won't be going back! read more

They are always out of something. Literally I will get a sandwich and they are out of 2 breads.. every time we go. Got a cappuccino, which is 2 oz espresso, 2 oz milk and 2 oz foam and I was literally given a latte, if that. You couldn't taste the coffee at all! I enjoy their soups and bread bowls though so that is why it isn't a 1 star. Last time we were there, we saw a tray of food waiting to go to a table sit there for 7 minutes. We are usually Panera fans. Lately, over the past few months service hasn't been stellar. Twice, we came home with a pick-up order and were missing a sandwich. We have done a pick-up order and realized we were missing a drink. A special order salad didn't come as ordered as well. A few weeks ago I went through the drive through and ordered an egg and sausage breakfast sandwich. When I started eating my breakfast sandwich, I realized there was no sausage on it. The staff is friendly and have given us a coupon for a free meal whenever a mistake has happened, but it would be nice to not have mistakes happen. read more

The cashier was extremely rude. Didn't know how to do their job. We ordered a bread bowl to go. Got home and there was only a cup of soup and no bread bowl. Went back to the store and I asked why and the same cashier said they were out of them. Okay, look. We walked in at 5 to 7:00 last night - they are open until 9:00, but they had already bagged all baked goods for "donation." We ordered, only to be told they were out of won ton strips, arugula, and feta cheese, thus changing our order. There was a single person in the kitchen, one at the counter, and one running orders, but not a single - I mean it, not one - table had been wiped or cleaned. EVERY single table showed signs of having been dined at. When the food came, we were told they were "out of silverware," so we would have to use plastic spoons and forks. I considered volunteering to wash their dishes for them, but I assumed my sarcasm would fail to have any impact. On a previous trip, we overheard someone tell a customer who received cold Mac and cheese that they could "use the microwave to heat it up" if they wanted. So overall...the food is too expensive for what it is, the service is sketchy, the place is not clean, and whatever is happening behind the scenes is a disaster. I don't know if it is lack of staff, or lack of caring, or lack of experience, or all of the above, but I do not understand why anyone would compromise their dignity by eating here voluntarily. I'm done. It's awful. Stop underwriting incompetence and mediocrity, Grand Haven. Let it go out of business and replace it with something that has some pride in its product and service. read more

There was a sandwich missing from our take-out order, so I contacted customer service who told us the store would follow up with us. After several contacts to Panera corporate customer service and to the local store, it still has not been addressed. We've used the app for "Rapid Pick Up" several times. Unfortunately, our order has never been ready on time. I understand that everyone makes mistakes, so I believe it's how they are addressed that really matters. Panera does not seem to care. I ordered from their rapid pick up menu using my phone app. I received the confirmation email telling me my food would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant and had to wait in line with a few other people, since my bag was not on the shelf where it should've been. One of the employees came over and informed me that they were out of the honey wheat bread which I ordered for two sandwiches. They never sent me an email telling me, nor did they call. I chose different bread and 14 minutes later, I received my food. The people who came in at the same time got their food before I did. I felt like I was not important to them at all. We placed our take out order for three "Pick Two's" and the cashier read back our order correctly. The wait wasn't long as there weren't too many people in line. When we got home we discovered one of the salads was wrong and all three baguettes were missing. Not worth the trouble to go back. When I was pregnant last year, I went to the Grand Haven Panera 3-5x a week. I had cravings for the egg Soufflés all the time. I always got the bacon soufflés that was my favorite. Recently, in the last 6 weeks I have gone to the Grand Haven Panera. I have not once had the chance to get a bacon soufflés, because they are all gone. All that's left, if any, are the 4 cheese or ham and swiss. This week alone I have gone in 2 times at 7:15 and ALL the soufflés are gone. When I ask if there are any in the oven, they say no they are all gone. This has happened at least 5 times in the last 6 weeks. This is so disappointed especially because I am pregnant and have cravings. I will no longer waste my time at the Grand Haven Panera. I will now go out of my way to the Muskegon Panera because they ALWAYS have ALL 4 soufflés even at 8:30am. read more
