The managements at that Greenfield locations did not "listen" to what customer says about their order always personally assumed your complaint looks right when kindly asked something is looks not right or need little more add to for what price I paid... the food is good but the managers are weak to recognize the customer's simple complaint... I need a break from them or just I will stop going to this location which is more closer to my home. I just have to travel more miles from my home if I want Panera salads... why should go farther away for a Panera foods? read more

They ask for a tip in advance and then refuse to cut an egg sandwich in half because it will make the food preparation area messy. Could have cut the sandwich on the tray. Every other Panera restaurant I have been in would cut the sandwich after informing me that it would be a messy sandwich. read more

My family had a fairly terrible services experience: 1. Only 2 (least popular) of the 4 pasta types were available. When I asked what "Pesto Sachettini" is, both servers taking orders froze and after a while started paging through a menu. A fair number of people started queuing up in the order line. I don't understand why no notice was put up regarding unavailable items and servers were not educated about remaining items. 2. My 87 year old father in law who is in frail health wanted to drink water, and was given a Dixie sized cup. After a while I realized he was thirsty. What a dumb system to get a simple bagel to eat in the restaurant! You get a tracker for the table and then wait for it to come. Over 13 minutes waited. I went to the counter and found my order wasn't on the screen. If they handed it to me, I'd be done already! Order your bagel "to go"! read more

Met someone for lunch planning on getting our work done on our computers as we ate. She and I were both kicked off Panera's Wifi after about 20 minutes, and were told at 12:20pm that we would have to wait until after 2pm to log on again. We were not even close to finishing lunch. The manager said there was absolutely no way around it. Clearly, Panera is quite concerned about getting people in and out and moving on. If people take advantage of a system by sitting for too long at lunch, deal with those customers. Instead, Panera has chosen to turn away a potential customer with 20 minute Wifi limit during lunch. I won't ever go back. There are far too many lunch options just as good as Panera that won't kick paying customers off their Wifi after 20 minutes. read more

Ok usually love eating at Panera but last time took an order to go only to have my order wrong when I got home. According to them the experience should be nothing short of spectacular but my order was far from it. I ordered a sandwich and a bear claw and a beverage and was short the bear claw which costs $2.79. Well I contacted the store and spoke to the manager and she said they will send me a coupon for a free bear claw, well two weeks later still no coupon then I called again and she said they would send it out. I finally received it three days later for a beverage which is less than what I paid. I am very disappointed in Panera and will not be going back. Terrible customer service. read more

Never ever again. Severely overpriced on almost everything. The "creative" flavors they try simply do not work and they could use a lesson or two from a professional chef on culinary flavor blends at the very least. I am completely and utterly disappointing that we ate lunch here and my girl friends agree. They actually strongly encouraged me to write my honest review as always but made sure I followed through. This is not our first time with the same opinion, this is what brought me to a 1 star rating and if I could it would be zero. I will never go here again, any location. Lastly, the food size portion are for that of a baby kitten, they are extremely overpriced as previously mentioned, and perhaps the only thing you should purchase from them are they morning bagels...just make sure they are not rock hard! I LOVE PANERA BREAD. Panera is the best food ever, and I enjoy it every time. This location was really busy. There were not tables left and had to wait to eat. Even after we ate, about 11 more people came to order. This and one other thing was the only bad thing. When we were sitting down... There was a rough looking man that was cutting out words In newspapers... He also was staring at us and taking up THREE tables... Those tables could have been used for others and he was taking it up with newspaper clilpungs. I understand this wasn't the resurants fault, but they could have asked him to use only one table or to leave because he looked like he was there for the WHOLE day. I am very mad about this because this weird man with white hair and 200 beads and his butt hanging out was taking our tables and making us wait. He also stared at people when they were using the uranal. This kind of weirdo should not have been allowed there for so long and made me think he has inside connections and that's the only reason he was there. read more

My parents and I go to Panera for breakfast during weekends all the time. We like their food and beverage. This review is about their service. They seem to have a lot of younger employees and that can be a problem sometimes. We sometimes get the wrong food/beverage. This one time when we received a cafe latte instead of the chai latte we ordered, we brought it back to the counter and told the girl who was making drinks at the time. She said, "I didn't make that. I don't know." All I was expecting was "I'm sorry and I will get you the right one." So I said, feel free to taste it; it's not what I ordered. and I showed her the receipt. She responded, I don't want to taste your drink; I'll just get you another one. So later my mom went to pick up the drink and told her how to do customer service (my mom's a really good waitress). The manager overheard them and came over to our table to give us to $6 gift certificates for the unpleasant experience we had with the young girl. She said, it is not the way to treat customers and they should know that they cannot argue in front of customers. So there are still people with some senses there. read more

My aunt and I went here yesterday as she had multiple gift cards. I just moved to Wisconsin last year and I had never been to a Panera bread before. We got things from the bakery and from the cafe. We took it to go and we both got a pick 2 combo meal type thing. I got the turkey and cranberry flatbread with their French onion soup. They were both past my expectations. The sandwich was a tad soggy on the bottom from juice and the melting of the sauce but we did have to drive home so that's no big deal. The flavors were delicious. I am not a big fan of the soggy bread in French onion soup and I was super happy they kept the croutons in a bag on the side. I am a baker and one thing I was SO impressed with was the French baguette they serve with the soup. It it the BEST baguette I have had to date. Soft on the inside and crispy crackly on the outside and PERFECT for dipping. I thought it was superb and for a first impression they really hooked me and will continue to get my money. Cons are that it was loud and busy and it seemed a bit unorganized in the bakery part of the store. But on the cafe side they have a super efficient way of keeping everything in order because of a pager they hand you with your receipt. Not really any complaints from me :) I am going this weekend with my husband to introduce him to their yummy food! read more

Panera has always been my go-to restaurant but not anymore. Their rapid pickup service has really disappointed me. Last week, I ordered a sandwich for rapid pickup and they burnt the crust to charcoal black. This week, I ordered their Modern Greek Salad With Quinoa for pickup at 8 AM and when I went in there at 8.50 AM, my salad was not on the rapid pick up shelf. I asked two cooks about it and those girls didn't give it a damn. Then one of them went somewhere and said oh I found the order however, she never came back. I asked another girl after a few minutes of wait if the other girl found my salad. She said yeah, she is making it and that was about it. 1. It was supposed to be ready 50 mins ago for "RAPID PICK UP"; 2. Kept the customer in ambiguity; 3. No apologies. I asked their baker to call the Manager. The manager cancelled my order and processed a refund however, she never apologized either. Then after 15 minutes, one of the girls gave me my salad without saying a word, no sorry, no "here you go", nothing. She didn't place my side chips in there. I asked for it and she dropped it in my bag and gave it to me. The manager was standing right by her side. None of them said a word. Anyways, come lunch time I opened my salad and there was NO QUINOA in this vegetarian quinoa salad. All that I had was just the green leafy stuff. It was supposed to be a QUINOA salad. read more

I love panera but this one on Layton is awful. My order has had something wrong with it every single time I've gone. They encourage you to use the online rapid order but they don't read special instructions. They have forgotten items I ordered from the bakery. They don't even fill the soup up which I paid for a 'full cup' not less than half a cup. They did not give drinks (so when I have someone else pick up they have no idea to ask for drinks). They made my sandwich wrong twice. The employees are idiots, and provide terrible service. I highly suggest not going to this inefficient, dirty "restaurant". If they rated on grades they should def be a D-. read more

Really what is all the hype about. My wife and I went there on Monday 1/5/2015. I received a gift card for Christmas. I ordered the turkey sandwich and the small broccoli and cheese soup with a diet soda. My wife ordered the 1/2 sandwich and soup with a hot chocolate drink. When we got our order it was ($22 for a lunch) I was like where's the food? I got a 1/2 sandwich not a full one. even after I said at the line that I was starving and wanted a full sandwich. and the 1/2 is a small child size portion. I expect soup to be hot not so here warm at the best. My wife thought the same. Her hot chocolate drink looked great and with the cold weather she was really looking forward to it being hot. Well Panera doesn't serve hot chocolate hot it was luke warm at best she said. The tables are small and crowded for more than 2 people. We felt the menu was not clear. We let a few others ahead of us while we tried to figure out our order. And is posted high on the wall making you look up to the ceiling to view it. The food for the price, portions are too small and nothing special. My order was taken wrong. Unclear menu in a bad location. The food not hot enough. The best part of the meal was the little piece of bread which they don't even give you butter for (we had to go back to the counter and search for it finally I asked someone at the counter and got some). Will we go here again. I think not. There is so many other places I can spend less on and get a decent hot meal and not leave hungry. This is the kind of place that people who need to be seen or brag about going to go. read more

The problem with carryout is that there is no quality control. You are stuck when you arrive home and find out your food is a disaster. I carried out a Frontega Chicken panini this evening. When I got home, the bottom of the panini was burnt and incredibly soggy. (I only live 5-10 minutes away.) The chicken was tasteless. The flavor it did have was of prepackaged processed thinly sliced chicken you purchase in the grocery store. The "chipotle" mayo dripped off the sandwich, I had puddles on my plate, and it didn't much taste like chipotle. (You want a great chipotle mayo, try Jersey Mike's subs.) I did not taste any basil whatsoever, nor did I see any on the sandwich. The red onions were overwhelming and basically was overpowering everything on the panini. I would not even remotely recommend this sandwich. I have had their asiago steak and cheese sandwich, which I would highly recommend; however, many times when I order it, they are out of the asiago bread it is prepared with.
