Great food, horrible service... We've come to this location about a dozen times and the food has always been outstanding, never a problem. Tasteful, clean, filling, top marks! The service however... about 80% of the time, something is forgotten from our order. Be it a coffee, a bakery item, something is always expected to go wrong. I have ordered from Panera in the past and been pleased. In the past I ordered salads, sandwiches and soup, along with bakery items. However, tonight I was gravely disappointed. The warm bowl I ordered was just a little over a cupful in the bottom of the bowl. The bread sent with it had actually started to mold and the frozen strawberry lemonade was just cold, not frozen. Pretty nummy food. Kinda pricey, but you definitely get good, quality, fresh food for what you pay for. I never feel guilty after eating here. I know Panera Bread has good sandwiches, but I go there especially for the SOUP. When you think about it, there aren't many quick-service places that have a big selection of good soups, so Panera really does fill a niche. When you order soup, you also get a choice of chips, apple, or bread to go with it. Being on an (alleged) diet currently, I've been ordering their Chicken Noodle Soup lately. It's tasty and I really like it, but all their soups are quite good. The location on Civic Drive and Division is close to where I live, so that's my "home" location. Ok I have had their French Onion Soup before. I forgot that they must put tomato sauce or something in the broth, which is NOT normally in French Onion Soup. But, then, this order, I basically got NO cheese! Which is what French Onion soup is supposed to have! It was gross! And I took three or four Spoonfuls and gave up. I've been here a few times over the past year and the food has generally been decent. Lately though, totally different story. The girl at the front was apparently having a bad morning and seemed very forgetful. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich (eggs over easy), a chocolate croissant, and a caramel latte with someone milk. The over easy eggs on my sandwich came out over hard (yolk cooked through completely, hard), the croissant was very stale, and my latte tasted like warm milk as if they completely forgot to add the coffee or caramel. I am really disappointed in this location of Panera Bread. The last two times I received an order the portion size of my sandwich was significantly reduced. the first time the Napa Chicken Sandwich had such a small portion of chicken that I was basically eating bread. If I could give zero stars I would. The "Sunday manager" that is always there didn't know about the "too good to go program". If it is new to them completely understandable, but she took on a aura of rudeness and arrogance that wasn't needed. Oh, how I love Panera Bread. I'm so glad they opened up in Gresham! My Panera review has to be the same or similar to all over Panera reviews I've left. The people who work here are very friendly and the restaurant itself is clean. The cashiers here were a little slow when we first started going, but I attribute that to it *just* opening probably six months ago. Parking is around back, not around front. That would be my only con to this location. If you have somebody who can't walk far or if you don't want to push a stroller or anything of the sort, I recommend dropping them off and going to get parking. Otherwise, I heart Panera. read more

This is a very nice Panera. The staff are friendly, there is plenty of parking, and of course Panera has great food.

I'm so glad they opened up in Gresham. The smell of fresh baked goods smacks you in the face as soon as you walk in. For me it brings back such good memories from my childhood. Their prices are pretty much on par with any other food establishment if not a bit cheaper. The salmon couscous salad is super tasty with just enough vinaigrette to coat the entire salad. The combination of fresh bread, Italian meats and fresh veggies makes the Italian sandwich a must have. I could go here three times a day and not get tired of it. An added bonus if you order a meal you can add on a pasty for just a buck. I will be back and hopefully it will be soon. read more

I used to be a enthusiast of this location. However..since about 2 months ago(maybe more?) this location's food quality has been taking a change for the worse. The staff seems to have been cycled through leaving the visitor without a rather friendly professional service (or I come on the wrong days). Even the basic baguette has become more sad-dense on the interior with a thin and chewy crust. I hardly ever get a warmed through panini. The chicken is now sparse and Shredded! (Not cool, well actually..) it never seems to be hot or even warmed fully. No bueno. I will be looking for a new location soon. Unfortunately this one is closest to home. :( I miss it how it used to be. Other than that I do like this location for its convinence, speedy service, and good interior lighting. Ordered online yesterday, ordered a chicken Cesar salad shaved Parmesan, it had powder Parmesan disgusting, I ordered the chicken tortellini pasta, with a baguette the pasta was so dry and stuck together no sauce, and guess what no bread!! The food here is pretty good, even though you have to put a bagel through the toaster multiple times to get it toasted to your liking and sometimes it's still completely white or on fire, and while you're waiting for their ONE employee to wait on you, there's a line behind you who are sick of waiting. They no longer carry the cream cheese we like and at 8:30am, the souffle's were still not done! I'm so irritated that we consistently come here and yet no positive changes happen. The one employee helping a line of people on a weekend morning is just stupid. This has been an ongoing issue since they opened, you really can't afford to have 2 people at the registers? She looked at me and my five year old like we were lower than dirt and flatly said no. Not an ounce of friendliness, didn't even offer to take our order. It's like any chain sandwich place but with better branding. Nothing is actually made in house, the meats are the same processed stuff you'd get at Subway. The bread is only baked there (Some of it, not most) the soup all comes from a bag out of a steamer or microwave. This place is popular because of its presentation, but it lacks the quality and portions to back it up. It's the Olive Garden of sandwich places, so if paying too much for bland processed food is your Jam, enjoy! read more

I have eaten at Panera several times and have yet to be disappointed. I have ordered everything from coffee to tea, soup, salad and sandwiches and let's not forget those yummy desserts! Everything has always been extremely delicious and they have great serving sizes. I have always been in during the lunch rush and since I'm on my lunch I take the time to eat and enjoy my book etc. The staff has never made me feel as though I need to hurry up and leave which, is not necessarily the case with other places in the area.
