We got the green goddess + butternut squash soup pick 2 combo & it was actually soooo tasty. The baguette came with it & was soft - normally they are a bit tougher/drier. I've come into the liberty Panera twice now in the same month and both times payed cash at the dine in register, the people working up there were very kind and helpful and I had no issues. However the first time I came in my order was not called out but was sitting right in front of me in a bag. I tried to be patient and trust that it was just busy and then the girl working the food area asked me what my order name was and couldn't find it because it was right in front of us. I only ordered a Mac and cheese and it was cold and my bread was soggy with what looked like broccoli soup all over it which I didn't even order. Today when I went in everything went smoothly besides the rude lady calling out orders, clearly hadn't had any training on hospitality or how to talk to costumers with manners or kindness. She tucked her hair behind her ear with her gloves on and did not take them off or change them and basically ignored me when I said thankyou have a good day. came back for a spoon and said thank you again and she ignored me. The food started off delicious. I absolutely love their food. I'm a huge Panera fan and I love how it feels like homemade food. But my experience and the service. not off to a great start. First, the iPad did not work. OK fine no big deal. But we found 3 to 4 hairs in each plate. And it was not great. And my chicken noodle soup the noodles were not cooked. Our visit started okay and soured at the end. We ordered ahead for two salads with baguette pieces, and they were ready in wait of our arrival. The restaurant was jam packed inside, but we found a table and ate. The food was fine. My husband then went up and paid for a large coffee to fuel him for our road trip, only to find there was no coffee. A whole line of people was idling in wait of it--and a large line to order food, so there was no way to get a quick refund. We needed to get back on the road, so we couldn't stay around. Accepted an online order for 2 dozen bagels and 3 tubs of cream cheese. When I arrived for pickup they advised that they were out of cream cheese tubs. Replaced 3- 8oz cream cheese tubs with 10- 1 oz single serving cream cheese cups and were rude about it. Will not return to this Panera. It's one thing to be out of something. I decided to order the chicken tikka masala bc I love Indian food but this tastes nothing like any chicken tikka masala before, the color is very dark and it's not even spicy! I can't believe I didn't take a picture of how this place looks like from the outside. Oh well... I came here with one other person and it was probably like 6pm. There were already a lot of people eating at tables but there were a few places to sit still. I ordered the Steak & White Cheddar Panini with bread and a fountain soda. It didn't take long before our orders were ready. The Steak & White Cheddar Panini tasted good; however, it was such a small portion for me. There were onions in it so watch out for that if you order it... that is if you don't like onions or want onion-breath. The bread that came with it was fresh and good. I forgot what kind of bread it was though. I thought this place was a little pricey in terms of the amount you get. Good place for studying or just to meet with somebody. read more

Generally speaking, my wife and I like Panera and try to seek them out when we're on road trips. We really like the soup and sandwich "pick two" combo's. The food was GOOD at this location, 8580 N. Church Rd. KC, as we expect from Panera, but the restrooms were ATROCIOUS, HORRIBLE, "Third World", old and dirty, dirty, dirty, disgusting. We'd rather use an outhouse someplace. Unacceptable. If they can't offer and present their customers with a clean restroom, one has to wonder just how clean they keep their kitchen area. We won't be returning to THIS Panera location. read more

I have tried 3 times now to go to this location in the last 6 months trying to give them a chance to get things ironed out. It isn't working!!! I have ordered curbside and had to go in and get my order and wait over 20 minutes and the latest was sending my husband for a breakfast sandwich today and he waited 45 minutes for it. We ordered carryout online for Mother's Day. Due to the size of our order, the website advised us that it would be an hour before it would be ready (this was after we paid, of course). We arrived an hour later and it took another half hour from the time we got there before they brought the food out. At least most of the food-- we found out when we got back home that they had shorted us two sandwiches. Called the next day and were advised by a manager that they would refund the entire order. I love panera, but rapid pick up(specific time/later), and this location do not go together! Twice now, I ordered rapid pick up. Got there 5 mins early both times. Stood for over 15 mins both times. Because they fail to put my name on the board at all for preparing, or for ready, and not on the shelf. My order held aside in back because of some minor problem. So, you let me stand there like a dumbass for 15 mins? A phone call beforehand wouldn't suffice? They could have put my name up as ready, and when my order wasn't there I'd have asked. Panera Bread is always delicious. Fairly light, but great food. If I'm ever in the mood for soup, a panini, or even a good salad, you can't go wrong. They have fantastic bagels and great bakery items as well. Great lunch destination and even better if you want to eat fairly light/healthy. This particular Panera is usually very quick. Even during the heavy lunch hour, a long line will move very fast. I've never had to wait long. Dieters/Calorie Watchers: Be careful though, as some of the salads and sandwiches are not quite as low on calories as you'd expect. If you are mindful of cals, check their nutrition (from panera.com) and plan ahead. You can eat well there, but do some research ahead of time. read more

After many times I have finally have to complain. There was tho hard thing in my salad, I still can't tell what, but just disgusting. Of course it was as I was basically finished with my salad. They had already forgot to add items and instead of extra bread I asked, I got extra chips. Cashier had it entered correctly, but the kitchen/expo didn't. Just annoying because it is always something at this location and I know that minor stuff, but just so disgusting of whatever the crap was in my salad. I have the pictures attached. Is a pretty good dark roast coffee and a nice selection of healthy or indulgent breakfast items, Panera is a nice place to start the day and typically offers a quiet environment to get some work done. The staff is always friendly and efficient, getting your order around quickly. I specially like the selection of steel-cut and quinoa bowls along with the fresh breakfast sandwiches that feature eggs and on some of their fresh artisan bread. The prices are pretty reasonable, and I know they focus on trying to eliminate preservatives and provide healthy options. Love Panera's bread, bagels, Iced Green Tea, and coffee. The lunch combo is the only way to go if you ask me. Half salad/sandwich or cup of soup, 2 for 6.95 WITH your choice of extra bread, chips, or an apple. I always get the apple unless I get soup, then I get the bread. Yum! If it's breakfast and you're not watching calories, get the quiche in the croissant...omg it's good. A bagel and shmear won't disappoint either.
