WAY overpriced for the amount you get. Half a sandwich... the bread slices were tiny, and the turkey was rolled up into a ball, not even properly placed. The avocado slices were stacked on top of the ball of turkey, and the tomato slices were also stacked instead of spread out. I was basically served a sandwich ball and I had to take it apart and remake it myself. The soup serving was tiny and overpriced as well. I can make better food at home. In fact I should have. I just spent 12 bucks on lunch and I'm still starving and I'm frustrated that I had to remake my sandwich. Careless staff overpriced. Food might taste good but it's not worth it. I would demand a refund but I was so hungry I ate it all as fast as I could. Now I'm at home about to make another sandwich. Smh. read more

I love Panera and this establishment makes great food. My only complaint is the Rapid Pick-Up - not so rapid. I ordered and upon arriving, my name didn't appear on the "Preparing" or "Ready" screen, although my confirmation email told me the pickup time. I waited 15 minutes and finally asked a worker, who told me they didn't have enough bread that was requested so would we like to order something else or no? I was frustrated for having waited 20 minutes while my food was never even ready for rapid pickup, especially because our phone number was on the order if there were "questions with our order" and workers just standing around and not asking me if help was needed. I go here sometimes, when I'm in a hurry, and I don't stray from my standard - Pick two option: 1/2 of an Asiago roast beef sandwich, light on the sauce, with black bean soup and whole wheat baguette . Oh man. Where do I start. It was such an annoying experience. I think it was the manager running the place at the time that did not have her head in the game. So we put in our order....the register freezes. That's not their fault. So they take us over to another register/cashier to reorder. Everytime we say something... the guy is like sorry we're out of that.... so why didn't the other cashier not tell us and was putting in our order.... then the manager (Asian older lady) comes around yelling at everyone across the store to give her answers... like aren't you supposed to be on top of everything?!? We sit down and the tables are FILTHY!!!! There's dog hair all over the seats.... big EWWWW!!!! Then we get one chicken noodle bowl and it's just water ZERO pasta or chicken.... and it keeps going on. Like there were a few items they didn't bring us..... Like who hired the manager... clearly has no control of her job. It was a ZERO experience. Which is weird bc is usually Panera bread is pretty good. I just think the manager isn't right for the job. I went to the Lakewood Towne center café, and this is the third time I've went in there in a row where things just aren't right. To start there's no honey for the tea. I ordered a sandwich and wanted specific items and even though the cashier that took my order, went in the back and told the cooks how I wanted my sandwich, it was still wrong. It must be a regular occurrence because I got my sandwich to go, and a customer in the eating area, suggested that I check my sandwich because she said they got her order wrong. The management is inattentive when I reorder my sandwich the cooks in the back attitude was as if I was bothering them. I was extremely disappointed because this café is my go to place always for breakfast and has been since it opened. I certainly hope that they get things in order because I'd hate to stop going there, but when you can't get an order correct for a customer, and management doesn't care enough to make sure that the place has condiments for their customers, why should I continue to patronize their establishment. Love the variety of breads and breakfast pastries! The combos are a good choice, especially with the panini sandwiches. The tea isn't brewed very strong, which is good and it's fresh. Customer service is spot on--they take your order as soon as the person in front moves along with their table buzzer. And they'll deliver you your order after you've seated yourself. I used to have to go to the counter when the buzzer went off; now, thye bring you the order. I bus after myself, but you don't actually have to do that--they'll bus the table after you leave. Some of the items are more than I think they're really worth, but the food is still good. I think it's healthier to eat here and still be satisfied with the great taste. read more

I use to come to the Lakewood Towne Center Panera on a regular basis, 1-2 times a week, but lately customer service, management, & the quality of the food has really gone down hill. First of all, there were not avocados for the Cobb salad & when I asked for a substitution, they couldn't come up with one, then I went to get the only unsweetened ice tea, it tasted like colored water. When I told one of the workers, they said, "oh, I guess someone made it wrong". She didn't offer me another drink, or apologize. She actually had an attitude about my question. I then talked to a manager & he said he would take my phone number down & he would call me to make the situation right. It's been a couple of weeks & I received no phone call. I don't think I will be back until things get better at this store or some of their workers are trained with better customer service. read more

Let me start by saying that I have never had an issue with this location before however, my last order I experienced very poor customer service by both the store manager and either the area or district manager. I work in the area so I, along with many others from my company, order frequently for delivery. My order came quickly and the driver was courteous, as always, but my order was not to my satisfaction. My intent for calling was to explain that my order of macaroni and cheese was a bit short compared to every other time I have ordered it. The manager was quick to let me know that the bags come portioned and therefore exempt from error. Well, this time the portioned bag was short!! This was all that I originally wanted to explain. Next I was put on hold and the area/district manager was on the phone. Now I'm explaining the same thing to her and she's explaining the same thing back to me that the store manager already did. She apologized for my experience and offered to email me a gift certificate, I thanked her and the call ended. Well, I still have yet to receive an email with a gift certificate in it and this was almost a week ago!!! Poor handling of a customer complaint and for the area/district manager to drop the ball in following up with what she promised is unacceptable customer service!! In addition to it being completely unnecessary for the call to be escalated the way that it was. Again, I have never had a problem with any of the food or delivery service that I have ordered in the past so this review is to express my displeasure with the poor handling of such a minor customer complaint. read more

I love Panera Bread! Their food is super tasty, and the service is fast. They have a variety of fresh pastries, sandwiches, salads, and soups to choose from. Plus, you get fresh bread, an apple, or chips with your lunch. They also have smoothies and other drinks that are quite delicious. I have eaten there more times than I can count, and I've always left satisfied. I especially love that I can mix and match what I'm ordering so I can get a sandwich with soup or soup with salad or a sandwich with macaroni and cheese, etc. The dining area is nice but can definitely get crowded during the lunch hour. read more

I come to this place quite often to study. After Starbucks, it's one of my favorite places to work given the free wi-fi, the refillable drinks, and the large seating area. This is my go-to spot whenever I'm in the mood for a good soup or sandwich, or both! Though the place is almost always crowded, it's still quiet and calm. I'll stop by for a lunch break and be able to read while I wait for my food. If I know I'm going to be rushing, I just order online and stop in to pick up my food without having to wait. Every time I've gone, my food has been delicious. Once I ordered the Cobb salad with avocado and they forgot to put in the avocado so I went up to the counter and let them know. They immediately apologized, added the avocado and gave me a free drink. I wasn't even the slightest bit upset when I told them about the missing avocado so they didn't have to do any of that but they did and I thought it was the greatest display of customer service I'd seen in a long time. This is the easiest Panera to get to on the way to work. Two times I stopped here and the cashier who was on register around 630am has either made a mistake on my order [two different croissants for Pete's sake...not even a sandwich) or has thrown my stuff haphazardly into the bag. The ever changing staff makes consistency an issue. The person at the counter was pleasant. The food, on the other hand, was not pleasant. Once my power sandwich was finished I had to get it myself. Then, the sandwich tasted like slop! Lastly, if you are not a morning person, perhaps you should find another profession. I ordered a pannini sandwich, it was delivered to my table un-grilled, when I pointed it out the server got a bit snotty with me and rolled his eyes...the sandwich was returned a few moments later improperly grilled again the kitchen staff did not re-make the sandwich, the microwaved it, grilled it long enough to put a few burn marks on the bread....not an ideal sandwich. I also order coffee with my meal, when I went to pour a cup from the jug on the counter it was empty, and was told in few minutes some would be it out...it was 20 minutes later. I use to come to Panera at least twice a week to study. Being so close to campus, it was convenient for everyone. We all order lunch, never take up space we don't need, and usually only there for a few hours. Until they put a time limit on the wifi certain hours of the day. Of course, this wasn't discovered until I was in the middle of taking an online test. Would have been nice to know that when I ordered (laptop in hand).
