Wow! I've gone to school at CPTC but never knew about the Rainier Room. The food was so yummy! Definitely affordable fine dining. The duck salad was delicious! The Mango prawns with lemon risotto was too! I took it to go and finished lunch with a rhubarb peach cobbler that had a crystallized ginger biscuit to cleanse the palette. Definitely will be back here again!

We ordered several portions for work and they were delivered to us an hour after cooking. Everyone really liked the service.

No reservations. There was 1 spot open in the small dedicated lot and then I found a spot on the street. Recommend coming in fewer vehicles if possible. No reservation at peak dinner time (5:30) on a Wednesday, the host (and manager?) found a spot for us promptly anyway and he was super kind and our server for the night. Preschooler was asleep in my arms, but we made it work. We ordered: 1 rose cider (sweet but not too sweet), 1 pulpo (grilled octopus!) starter, 1 boscaiola pasta for the preschooler (boxed leftovers), 1 spring ravioli (more Italian name), and 1 rabbit with polenta entree. Each main came with salad and meal started with bread and whipped butter. We were offered a kid menu option of pasta with alfredo, marinara, or bolognese sauce, but opted for normal menu so we could bring back leftovers. We loved the pulpo and the salads (they offered to box up the preschoolers salad since she was still sleeping). Kid enjoyed the bread. Bit of a wait for mains but nothing out of the ordinary. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. Boscaiola was a hit with the kiddo since she loves pasta and sauce and mushrooms and cheese. Husband thought his main was really good. I was so full after eating all of my ravioli. Really impressed with the quality of food and the level of service. A busy place, but as mentioned, we were luckily seated right away. We're thrilled to have finally made it here after our old Italian standby in proctor shutdown and we can't wait to come back! Definitely recommend. Parking: you can find it, not plentiful but not bad either. Kid friendly: sort of! If your kid likes pizza or pasta!

We ordered the Seasonal Contorno and the pork belly appetizer, both full of rich, balanced flavor. We also had the gluten‑free Salumi pizza, and it was exceptional-- one of the best gluten‑free pizzas I've had anywhere. The warm, intimate atmosphere made the night feel special. If you're looking for the best Italian in Tacoma, Marzano should be at the top of your list. Plenty of gluten-free options. Have street parking and small parking lot.

They are constantly moving, checking in, helping each other, and were always smiling and friendly. The food was divine. The bread and oil both had rosemary. The bread wasn't dried out, and amazing. We got the antipasti misto as an appetizer and loved it. My wife got a prime rib special. I tried a bite and it was some of the best prime rib I've ever had. I got the Neopolitan Ragu Rigatoni. Very large portion. It comes with a sausage (yummy!) beef shoulder and beef short ribs. These were both fork-tender and very flavorful. For dessert my wife and I split a tiramisu and creme brulee. The tiramisu had fallen, but the taste was amazing, the best I've had in years. The creme brulee was also amazing. Plan in advance before you go here. Because of that alone, I instantly felt like I could trust them... and now I absolutely love this place. The food is wonderful, the service is great, and even though it's a small space, they do an amazing job with everything. I'm obsessed with the manicotti--I can easily eat the whole thing, which is not typical for me at all. It's that good. My guy's dish was generous too, but a bit heavy on the oil for his taste, so he didn't finish it. Still, definitely worth the stop. The wine, the manicotti, and the cozy vibe make it a perfect little Italian escape every time.

i'm pretty conflicted on how to review this to get it…read morestarted, the starter bread was pretty cold, although the garlic butter spread was fantastic i ordered the baked three cheese gnocchi, but asked to have the prawns removed when this dish came, you could tell it had been freshly baked in a huge bowl however, when i took my first bite - it was basically nothing but cheese throughout each spoonful thereafter yielded the same - there was nothing but pure cheese throughout, and while i like cheese, this was just way too much i wasn't a fan of the gnocchi itself either i got through about 1/3 of this dish before i decided it was enough, and didn't ask to have the rest boxed up or anything i guess i'm not sure what i expected - removing the prawns from the dish would come with a ton of cheese, and the cheese is made clear in the description, but i expected less cheese overall or at least a bit of something different this normally would be a pretty negative review, but the reason i'm still positive overall is the other food was quite good the other people at my table ordered a margherita pizza and the fusilli primavera - and after giving up on my dish, i tried their food the pizza was excellent - i especially (ironically) loved the solid layer of cheese that was a perfectly warm temperature. It wasn't too thin either I (and the others) also really enjoyed the fusilli primavera - the pasta was really nice and soft, and the vegetables were cooked well. there was a nice amount of oil that coated everything to impart good flavor i also ordered the cannoli as a dessert this was interesting - the outer shell was really hard and crunchy - which was nice, and the inner filling wasn't as sweet as you'd expect from a dessert - as it was more cheesy - but i still thought it was decent the fruits tasted strange for some reason, though lastly, i do think the portion sizes were pretty impressive for the price. this was most apparent when it came to the pizza, but the pasta, desserts, and even my gnocchi were all quite large - and each all under 20 dollars i will give this restaurant props for removing 9 dollars off the price of my gnocchi after i asked to have the prawns removed - it's something that a lot of places wouldn't do - and that was nice to see
