Been patronizing this restaurant as I am in Orting on a weekly basis. Food is consistent day in and day out. I have yet to have a wait staff having a bad day. Service is quickly and friendly. I might add that the biscuits and gravy are pretty good. Love the small town vibe. read more

Not the best experience. Can't say I'm in a rush to get back. I was looking forward to coming here for a while and finally got the chance on Sunday for breakfast. This establishment is in Orting and we had been told it wasn't the safest or most welcoming place for black people. I can't say I got that impression from the service I received today even with the inconvenience we experienced. Long story short, we waited over an hour for the food to come out and it was a little underwhelming. Long story long, my family and I showed up at 12:05 for breakfast and they were busy. We waited less than 5 minutes to be seated and about 5 minutes to put in drink and food orders. We ordered a side of potatoes, 2 orders of the biscuits and gravy with eggs, the lemon blueberry French toast and the classic eggs Benedict. It was an hour before the server let us know our food would be out soon. Within that time, we were checked on twice for drink refills. We watched tables come in, eat and leave. 15 minutes after the server let us know our food was coming out soon, it still hadn't come and we were looking to pay and leave. She said it was coming right up and showed up about 5 minutes later. One plate of biscuits and gravy had an old dry crumbly crunchy biscuit and one fresh biscuit. The gravy was tasty and plentiful, but a little looser than expected. The lemon blueberry French toast was tasty and looked appetizing, but was not hot enough to melt the accompanying lemon butter. The eggs Benedict was flavorful, but the English muffins were soggy. The ham was good quality and the hollandaise sauce was tasty, but had developed a film. We asked for boxes as soon as it came out and noticed we didn't get everything we ordered. Our server comped our drinks and removed the side of potatoes we didn't get. She apologized for the wait and offered a dessert for the inconvenience. She was very kind and the only reason Tim's gets 3 stars instead of one. For cultural context, we were the only black people there. There was only one other person who wasn't Caucasian in the entire establishment and we saw no non-whites in the community on the way there. The service was a genuine concern coming in, but our server worked diligently to remedy the inconvenience. Our guess was they ran out of biscuits halfway through our order being prepared. So it probably sat for quite some time before it got to us once the new biscuits were done, instead of remaking it so it was all fresh. Just wish they would have told us or warned us instead of waiting for us to complain. If that was the case and we were made aware, we would have ordered different things way ahead of the 1 hour mark. We didn't leave until after 1:30 and were quite dissatisfied with the quality of the food. I would t recommend this place to anyone, but I wouldn't protest anyone trying it either. I most likely won't go back anytime soon and don't see myself visiting this establishment in different cities either. read more

A fairly medicore experience. There was a festival in town this day. I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken didn't have much in the way of seasoning, so I had to make liberal use of the Tabasco sauce. The Waffle arrived like warm and without butter. By the time there was a waffle and butter on the table there was no chance the butter was even going to soften, much less melt on the Waffle. The service was kinda slow, but the people were friendly. Weekly regulars at Puyallup location and decided to hit up Orting. While I expected a longer wait on Mother's Day, even for 2 and provided my phone number for the wait list. I was told 45-60 mins and they'd text us. No problem! 90 mins later no text, so I check in and notice the restaurant has died down and wait for the same hostess, who's speaking with another patron annoyed that they've never been called for their table and can be magically set now. To which she says "I just work here" uhhh what?!..... I check in and we instantly have a table- she recognized me from my previous check in, the one where she took my phone number. I mentioned I was checking on the wait list since I never got notified and it's pretty open (130pmish). She brushed it off, I didn't push, but was annoyed but she sits us immediately. Wait staff is moving around as normal, saying hello and saying they'll be right with us, we decide what we want and wait.... And wait. 10 mins go by and a waitress comes over and asks if we can move tables because the table we're at ( a small 2 person table) needs to be used for a reservation instead. I literally pointed out several other 2 person tables and larger open around us.... We declined the move and left. We wasted two hours waiting for service to be ignored, pushed around and awful service. We'll stick to the Puyallup location with wonderful service and food. read more

Nice place, good atmosphere. There's a little train that runs around the entire place which was neat. The service was good past the initial 10 minutes. We kinda got forgotten about in the beginning, we got a table a saw other groups who had arrived after us get their food orders taken before we got drinks. Food was ok. I got the meat lovers stacker, and though the potatoes were a bit undercooked it was pretty much what I wanted. I recently visited this establishment and experienced subpar customer service. Upon arrival, the hostess directed us to the front, which was reiterated shortly after. Despite the presence of other customers who had bypassed us, we were eventually informed that the waitress was overwhelmed with tables, a claim I've never encountered before. When I expressed concern about my husband's need to sit, the hostess apologized curtly, and we decided to leave. Following this encounter, I called to lodge a complaint but was met with dismissiveness. Patty, who claimed to be handling the issue, repeatedly interrupted me and didn't seem interested in my feedback. She provided conflicting information about the wait time and seating availability, and when I mentioned my husband's difficulty finding a seat, she suggested alternative seating areas that were not clearly indicated. Her tone remained unaccommodating, and she eventually hung up. Given the unprofessional handling of my complaint, I question the authenticity of her managerial claim. Until I hear from the ownership, I will not be returning. The service was terrible, lacking empathy and professionalism. read more

I ordered my food off DoorDash. I got a turkey cheddar bacon melt and a strawberry milkshake. The Fries were seasoned well and the milkshake was delicious, although I wish it was a little thicker. The sandwich was surprisingly a little bland and the bacon was burned. Will try again in person to see if there's a different experience. read more

We have had breakfast her a few times and between Stephanie or Daniel or Zoey this place rocks. We tried it for dinner on a Friday. It was busy but that's ok we got a table quickly and Zoey was our server. She recommended a few dishes and we placed our orders. I got the Tenders and my wife got the Chicken Fried Chicken. We then waited. And As I assumed because the chicken dishes are cooked to order fresh, that's the reason for the wait. No problem. Then as I was facing the kitchen I see food come up and go out and one order catches my eye. It's ours and it sits and sits and sits dying in the window. ALL of the other servers (there were many) came up looked and walked away, I know Zoey did not hear her name called because she was close and wrapping silverware. Yet no one on the team said "HEY ZOEY YOUR ORDERS UP". Or just RUN THE FREAKING FOOD FOR HER as a team should work together right? Looks like Zoey's team was not a team and OUR FOOD SAT DYING IN THE WINDOW! How right is that? When Zoey finally got the message she rushed the food out to us an apologized but I did not blame her as most if not all of the blame falls on the KITCHEN staff for not calling her name out louder, and then follow up with Hey Zoey your table # order is up, and I blame the rest of the TIM's TEam for not having her back. She (Zoey) was and is a good server, the others (not Stephanie or Daniel) could use training in TEAM WORK or get out of the business. We will be back because of Zion, Stephanie and Daniel, and we will ask for us to be in their sections but anyone else no! I will wait until they are available period. So, HEY TIM, can this be fixed because this location is AWESOME but having just 3-people that does AWESOME work and customer service and team work is not too many to sustain customer satisfaction. Sadly, we used to order multiple to-go orders of their jalapeño poppers until they switched to the cheddar poppers. The original cream cheese poppers were always a hit and great for parties or gatherings. The new poppers are NOT worth the time or money. The service is always great and the other food is good, but this was a HUGE let down. read more

The entrée comprises ample steak fries, a dry buttered biscuit, and a chicken thigh and drumstick. I would rate this meal 3/5, primarily due to its value proposition; I still believe that Safeway/Albertsons offers tastier fried chicken. Nonetheless, considering the $12 meal and $4 soda, it's a good deal given the quantity of food you receive. I recommend trying it, but don't expect to be overly impressed. read more

We had breakfast there recently. Where we are visiting from Florida.. I ordered off the senior menu. Sad to say It was perfect for me. One perfectly good egg. Two very crispy and thick pieces of bacon. A bunch of hash browns and toast and for $2 more. I got gravy on the side for my hash browns. Everything there was absolutely delicious. I came in and picked up a door dash order on 5/3/2025. Unfortunately I didn't get the waitresses name, but she had on glasses. First she told me I had to go to the back to ask for the order. No problem. She then proceeds to follow me back to the back to let me know she couldn't or wasn't allowed to help the door dash orders. This morning at 10:00 AM we walked through the door for our first time. The restaurant was not busy at this time. Two more groups walked in after us. They were done before our order arrived. Our food finished arriving at 11:03 AM. The last order was wrong. After a little while the order was canceled. $3.49 for coffee? Only one refill was brought in the almost 1 1/2 hours we were there. My food was just warm. The other orders were hot. The best part of my breakfast was the buttermilk biscuit. This is my daughter's favorite breakfast place. She wanted to take us to breakfast. When it was her breakfast that was completely wrong I didn't want her picking up the check. So, 3 out of 5 breakfasts were served appropriately. One refill on the coffee in 1 1/2 hours. We asked for a cinnamon roll while we were waiting for our breakfast. It came out just before the breakfasts did. Everyone can have an off day. This was apparently an off day at Tim's. It looks like one of those places in the movies where everyone goes to get breakfast, and everyone knows everyone, so it was very welcoming and comforting specially, in the morning time. We came here in a group of six adults and a baby in a stroller. Given that it was a later lunch, it was starting to empty out so we were accommodated with a perfect table to also have the stroller next to us. All the food that we ordered was really good. I had a Reuben sandwich and it was pretty solid. My husband had a turkey sandwich that he enjoyed as well. The portions were so large that each of us only hate half of the sandwiches and part of the fries that came with it. Very sizable portions for the price. We liked that with a baby, the restrooms had baby changing tables. Our baby got a little fussy and it was nice that there is an area towards the bathrooms that is open and we were able to hang out there with him for a little bit as he calmed down. My family and I were passing through and decided to grab breakfast on our way out of town. Kids enjoyed their pancakes but when it came to my chicken fried steak it Tasted sour/rancid. My wife's potatoes were "cold-warm" and the hollandaise sauce my wife got was bland and no flavor. We expected the quality to be better for the price we paid. But it's so big. The menu. The menu is big. Huge in fact. I had a difficult time deciding what to order. I finally went with the French dip and loaded mashed potatoes. I also tried the fried chicken. They were alright but didn't blow my skirt up. The price is a great value. The portions are large. The service was fantastic. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I would return when in the area to get something different on the menu next time. It's worth another shot and there is plenty to try. Maybe I'll order a champagne float! Loved this place. The first time I was here, I went with coworkers. Most who have been here before. Friendly staff, the menu had a great selection, and the atmosphere was welcoming. They were able to accommodate 8 adults and 2 children. We did go on a friday at 1 pm. I do not know what it would be like on a weekend morning. I ordered the biscuits and gravy platter, over medium eggs, and diced potatoes. I loved that the gravy was made from scratch, not processed like so many places now. The eggs were perfectly cooked, yokes runny and whites completely done, lastly the potatoes were crispy but hearty. The wife ordered a Ruben with onion rings and ranch. She said the ranch tasted homemade, and the ruben was done perfectly. The onion rings were amazing but probably were not homemade. There was a train that traveled around the restaurant and entertained my 4 year old.
