Panera has homey food. The mac and cheese is creamy, delicious, and very filling. I love that all meals come with a side of your choice of bread, chips, or an apple. The bread is fabulous and, if you order the mac and cheese, perfect for dipping! I also love the sierra turkey sandwich. The sandwich comes with a good amount of turkey, greens, onion, special (yummy!!) sauce, and asiago bread, which is delicious. If you are really hungry, you can do the "you pick two" deal and order both a small mac and cheese and a half sierra turkey sandwich with a side. My sister and I often split the "you pick two" and are both satisfied, even though it only comes with one side. The iced teas and drip coffees are also good. I like the hibiscus tea and the hazelnut coffee. Both are delicious! The service is typically pretty quick. Once you sit down, you rarely have to wait more than 5-10 minutes to get your food. The staff is also very friendly and helpful! One time my card wouldn't go through due to a computer glitch with my bank and the woman took pity on me in my embarrassment and gave me my lunch for free anyway. Very good customer service! The decor is very nice. This particular store was recently remodeled within the past few years. It is a very comfortable environment. The tables could be cleaned more often; It is often a challenge to find a table without a massive amount of crumbs and a sticky spot or two. I order from Panera all the time and usually do the rapid pickup so I can be in and out. Once again I ordered fresh mozzarella on a sandwich and that's not what I got. Since I literally clicked the customization of my sandwich myself, this is super disappointing. And of course doing the rapid pick up I didn't find out until I was already back at work and it was too late to drive all the way back to get it corrected. Clean place, nice staff, good quality...but my word. Learn your products and pay attention!! read more

This Panera has made great progress. I like the simplicity of how things are managed and how excellent customer service from the moment you enter until the moment you leave. I appreciate the cashiers being non robotic, I adore Lisa as much as her demeanor at times can come off as I inviting, them minute she starts her greets and smile, you know you're going to be taken cared off. The dining room people are always busy but they also have the time to smile and talk/chat with us customers, something that I would only see 1 person do. The short Asian manager was one I look forward too because he's always dressed sharp, he's consistently smiling, and just has a great personality. I think his name is Bryan or Ryan.(But I haven't seen him for awhile, hopefully just working various shifts!) The impeccable and friendly cashiers, to the food preparers, to the staff that brings our meals to us are all people who know what customer service is all about, sure we will have days that are just overwhelming and stressful, but I just want you all to know that you are all stars and leaders of great customer service. So convenient to order online for rapid pick up. I can't ever remember ordering from here and not liking it although I wish they had bigger portion sizes. Their Mac and cheese and soups are the main thing I go for. And the bacon turkey bravo is a great sandwich. They are a little pricy. Just to make it clear. I'm not giving this place a 1 star because of the service or the actual place itself. It's because when I went there the whole back section of seats was being occupied by the homeless. There was someone sleeping on the floor, that at first glance you thought it was just clothing. No one said anything to them and most of the customers that did stay avoided that area all together. I mean I get it if they were actual customers, but they were just sleeping there or charging their devices and none of the managers on hand said anything.Otherwise, the staff that worked there were very friendly and helpful. There are plenty parking spaces and major stores next to it for shopping. The tables are well spaced for the little space it does have. The pick up orders are easy to get to and well placed. I think that if they could control that situation better it would be a better environment for the paying customer. read more

Not sure what happened I've eaten here several times I always do the rapid order and normally my food is nice and hot and nothing wrong last night I ordered on the rapid order I showed up a minute before it was supposed to be done it was already sitting on the shelf i pulled it down and decided to check the bag I noticed there was no French baguette so I went to the counter and ask them for one and the lady got an attitude telling me that they're out of them. Didn't offer anything in replace of it until I asked so that's it you guys are just out of them? She replaced it with some sun-dried tomato bread when I got home which is just two minutes down the road I pulled my food out my grilled cheese sandwich was cold and burnt. I'm a little disappointed but given my past experience I might give them another shot depending on how their customer service handles the situation. Don't order rapid or curbside. I ordered a sandwich at 3:10pm for a 3:45 pick up. Order wasn't ready until 4:05pm. If your website allows for a pick up time, then honor i! If they are busy, the site should reflect this by the allowable pick up times. read more

I hate this location. Every single time that I go here they make a mistake on my order (this is over a four-year-period) They never get it right. The worst part is that they don't care that they do a bad job. In my last order they forgot my cream cheese for my child's bagel. I checked my order and politely asked for it. The woman working the sandwich counter told me that I forgot to order it. A young man next to her told her that I had ordered it and she missed it on the ticket. However, the woman repeated the same info about me forgetting. She didn't even try that hard to correct the mistake and seemed annoyed that I wanted the food I paid for. It was just a side of cream cheese - she should have just handed it to me and apologized. She didn't need to tell me that I was wrong. As a former Panera employee, I find it truly mind boggling how they can provide such horrible customer service and have such bad attitudes. read more

Literally disgusting! My mom ordered a chicken avocado sandwich & she didn't even get that! Instead they gave her a chicken bacon BUG sandwich You can see a full on bug on her sandwich. It's wings are nice and spread. Not only this happened but she was talking to people. In her class & found out that they've been getting food poisoning from Panera bread too but ONLY from the chicken sandwich. This is my 2nd bad review on a Panera Bread and it's just getting ridiculous. You order at the front, pick a seat, and they bring your food to you. They clean your table for you when you are done. Not your typical restaurant but it was still a nice place to eat. Customer service was good, they were nice and even made sure before we started to eat, if they can do anything else for us. I had the tomato soup with bread and it was really delicious! I had a terrible experience here. I had a gift-card from a holiday and I thought I would use it up and see what my uncle was raving about. So I went in with my uncle, we ordered our sandwiches and waited. 5minutes... 10minutes... 20minutes later we were sitting there waiting. It wasn't that they were slow to make the food, its that they didn't tell us! It had been ready for 10minutes and no one said a word. No one bothered to call out a name, nothing. So when we opened up our sandwiches, we were pretty disappointed. It was slightly soggy and pretty bland. When we were ordering, we also got a desert. The woman at the checkout didn't seem horribly thrilled about any of their deserts and we could see why later. It was pretty stale. To boot, it seemed to have a hair baked into it. I have to say that the food here is really good, and I like that there's a large serving of fresh breads that are based daily and Salad Center, Ville for order. I ended up getting the chicken Cesar salad and the Italian sandwich, and both were very delicious. WAY overpriced for the amount you get. Half a sandwich... the bread slices were tiny, and the turkey was rolled up into a ball, not even properly placed. The avocado slices were stacked on top of the ball of turkey, and the tomato slices were also stacked instead of spread out. I was basically served a sandwich ball and I had to take it apart and remake it myself. The soup serving was tiny and overpriced as well. I can make better food at home. In fact I should have. I just spent 12 bucks on lunch and I'm still starving and I'm frustrated that I had to remake my sandwich. Careless staff overpriced. Food might taste good but it's not worth it. The bakery products are fresh and good, and there's a wide variety to choose from. The salads and sandwiches are substantial, made to order, and are made of fresh, good-quality ingredients, so they're tasty. I haven't tried the soups, but my husband has, and he's a big fan. (I just never get past my favorite menu items, so I'm way behind.) The premises are well-maintained and very clean, and the service is efficient and generally pleasant. We generally avoid chains and fast-food anything, because of concerns about cleanliness and poor-quality ingredients. However, Panera is definitely an exception. read more

Dirty - dining area, dishes piled up, dirty tables, coffee and iced tea empty. 6/26/13 my daughter and I visited Panera, it would be the worst visit ever. Food was good and portions adequate. The store was not busy and the manager that was on must have not been taking his job seriously because during our visit tables were not cleaned, dishes were piled up so high that you had to move them to place your trash in the proper receptacle. There were two places to dispose of trash and place your dirty dishes both were dirty and full. Tables were dirty we wiped down our own table before and after our meal. Upon leaving the restaurant I called and asked to speak with the manager, I pointed out all the issues. I pointed them out there were 5-8 employees working while we were there why could they have not seen the mess in the dining room? I wrote Panera Bread and advised them of the issue. I think this manager is doing a poor job. I had to ask them to make more iced tea 2 out of 3 were empty. Whether the restaurant is busy or slow cleanliness should never be an issue. read more

All of my reviews are based on "Bang for Buck". The lakewood panera is hard to beat. While the prices are slightly above average its more than fair for the quality of food you get. Dont forget to buy a baguette to take home with you. read more
