Ordering via the Panera app was very easy and overall seamless experience. This Panera is just terrible. I have never had an item that was even remotely tasty. I love Panera which is why I continuously gave it chance after chance, but today was my last straw. I ordered the pizza which literally did not have a hint of sauce. I even looked on the app to confirm that the pizza came with sauce which it did. They need to tear it down and just build something entirely different. Will never return. read more

Not much good to say about this Panera, as there were only two employees working when I went in about 2:30pm and one was on the phone. My guess is that the Malvern Panera isn't aware there are 100 places to have lunch around here, all within two minutes of this location. I can't imagine they will remain viable when I was told "There's only two of us and I'm on the phone. It's going to be while". Seriously? My reply was simple "And this is my problem?", which was met with no reply from the employee on the phone. The woman that came in after me walked away as well and said to me in the parking lot "I guess they're not going to have a lot of business today with customers walking out like this?". I told her that I was on hold with the customer service line (which was a long hold, but thankfully Wegman's had plenty of lunch offerings, which may be useful to any reader of this post trying to get food at Panera). Customer service finally picked up while I was enjoying lunch at Wegman's. Mind you there was no one on line at the time, and only two tables occupied in the whole restaurant Never walked out of a Panera before because I couldn't get anyone to take an order, until today. I'm sure there are cameras all over the place; not sure why the owners are not monitoring the non-activity at this place? If I were the owner, I wouldn't sleep at night based on the reviews and total lack of concern among the employees. Came in for lunch before heading to work to be completely disappointed. There wasn't a single person working that greeted us, smiled in our general direction or asked if we needed anything. With the lack of service at the counter, we ordered at the kiosk, and looked for a table. Even this seemed to be a challenge, as most every table not occupied was dirty. We chose a table with the least amount of crumbs and waited nearly 25 minutes for a Cuban and a soup. The AC was blasting so cold that the wait seemed far longer. When we got our food, the Cuban had wax paper in it. My boyfriend is has always refused to send food back to the kitchen and chose to only eat the other half of his food. Horrible horrible horrible. I was so excited to see this Panera had a drive thru because I had my dog in the car traveling after a long day. I did a rapid mobile order for pick up in the drive thru. I got there said my name and they told me to pull up to the window. No one greeted me at the window. No one even looked. There was 6 young ignorant employees all joking and laughing and looking on different phones or doing random stuff but not one single employee came to the window. My order was sitting right at the counter. I waited 20 minutes at the window before calling the store. The manager answers and immediately brings me my meal. It's hard to get service at this Panera and you get the sense that you are a inconvenience to serve when approaching the counter. They want you to use the kiosk instead of the counter and have no one at the counter as a result. But the kiosks didn't work and I wanted to use cash anyway. Food is standard to Panera. read more

This is my third time here and it's always dirty. Tables, trash can full of dirty dishes, beverage bar always out of stock on napkins. Came in at noon on a Monday. Ordering was easy, but the wait time did seem very long 30mins for a half salad and cup of soup. I was not in a super hurry, but there were many other people who were. The employees were apologetic about the wait and seemed to be hustling in the kitchen, so I'm not sure why it was. It was nice that they tried to make it right by giving me full instead of half salad. My salad was DELICIOUS (green goddess cobb) and the bread was perfectly chewy. My theory for the long wait is that the order system is inefficient. You have online/call in orders, front kiosk orders, cashier orders, drive through, etc. Sometimes it's tracked with a name, other times its a number and other times it's with a pager. I honestly think every order I have placed from this cafe is missing items. Today, I did not receive a drink I had ordered. I called and spoke to the manager on duty, who told me that she had personally handed the item to the DoorDasher that delivered the food, and that I needed to call him. I told her I have no way of getting in touch with this person. She told me that she "guessed she would have to refund me", which I said would be great. She promptly hung up on me. I wish I could say that this is my first experience with the managers at this cafe being extremely rude and disrespectful to me as a customer, but it is not. read more

Before the pandemic I could order the rapid pick up, drive over from down the road and back, and have time to eat on a 30 minute lunch break. Never had any kind of issue and the food has always been good. The drive through is fast too so that is another option. I LOVE the breakfast souffles, but FYI, they tend to always sell out so I only order them when I'm ordering on location. Usually I get a Greek salad, add avocado, and French onion soup. I normally have a good experience at other Panera Bread locations, but this one is terrible. I've ordered breakfast in store several times now and it always takes much too long to prepare my food, even though I'm usually in very early and am the only one there. Then I decided to place my order in advance so it's really before I get there. Apparently it doesn't matter when you schedule your pick up because they make it as soon as it is placed. Both times the food was cold by the time I received it. Lastly, the servings are very inconsistent. A few of the bacon egg and cheese sandwiches I ordered were overflowing with bacon while some of them only had 1 or 2 strips. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Wow so. I've been using this Panera for the past two years since I took a job in Malvern and today was probably the final straw with their consistently poor service. Due to lack luster quality service, I've stopped going there for lunch breaks entirely and instead visit the Sunoco literally just up the street for friendlier service that doesn't manage to screw up my order each and every time. Better food, better prices, better service, at a gas station. Come the f-on Panera. There's also a plethora of other options in the area, from Wegman's to Wawa. Heck, even the pizza hut IN THE TARGET is better than this place when it comes to getting what you asked for. And with the new area opening up soon with at least a Chipotle, I'd rather risk serious disease than willingly come back here for anything less than free bagel month. Sides are routinely incorrect - I'll order chips or an apple - and instead get bread. Which is what I wanted, of course, when I was ordering a bagel with my chili. More bread. Why not. Other times, it'll be the wrong soup order such as when I order baked potato but get clam chowder instead? I mean, it doesn't affect me because I'm not allergic, but I didn't even think the two chowders were on the menu at the same time??? So how that happened who knows. On at least one other occasion, dressing was left off of my salad entirely. Another time, the chicken was missing from my Thai Chicken salad, you know. A key ingredient from the name of the salad - nothing more or extra asked from me. I now only visit when Panera gives me free bagels for a month because I think, hey, how can this possibly go wrong. It's free. It's worth the hassle. Well, if the bagel isn't missing a half entirely - such as when I ordered a pumpkin bagel and only half made it into my bag - it's not being sliced at all leaving me to mangle it with a plastic knife back at the office - if the person even remembers to put a knife in the bag at all. I have waited on several occasions past ten minutes for an order that somehow was lost in the "rapid" pick-up black hole. Other times are like today. I ordered a sesame bagel and use the restroom. That took maybe three minutes. I exit thinking my bagel will be ready, but it's not. My name comes up on the board and says it's prepared, but still nothing. So I sit for five minutes trying to exercise patience. However, when the fourth person who ordered after me gets their to-go order, I shouldn't have to visit the window and ask for my food which, apparently, had been sitting there. Before that, the quality control manager - a middle aged man with glasses who's bald (for reference and validity to my story here) stood there, tidied up his station, handed out orders as they rang up, tore paper off the sticker roll - with my bagel just inches from his hands? Come on. If it's not personal, it's just poor management. I've gone during off-peak lunch hours because I expo. I know what it's like to be twenty plus tickets deep with hungry customers waiting and more orders coming in. But no matter what, consistently, I get dicked over and either have to tell the quality control manager at the window what got past them - which isn't my job, even if the receipt tells me so - or I get back to the office and find it isn't the food I was expecting to eat whatsoever. And after waiting eight minutes today? Didn't have a knife for me to spread anything actually onto my bagel, so I had to bum one off a coworker. It's ridiculous, it's sad, and of course I'll be back tomorrow ordering the same thing. If not at this pathetic excuse of quality control, at another one of the dime a dozen locations within five miles of me. By the way, every time I point out a mistake I get offered something free to assuage my irritation. Except, guess what, already getting things for free. I don't want free. I always thought maybe it would be convenient with the drive-through, and maybe this time it would be different. No such luck. I use the drive through and usually I am greeted by someone less than enthusiastic about their job... they can't even pronounce the names of the bagels they have??
