I love Panera bread but this location is poor. The staff is extremely rude!!! I can't even believe they work in customer service and that the manager is ok with how they speak to customers. We were waiting in line and an older woman was in front of us, the cashier looked very bothered and said are you ready yet to the woman and she said I think so I'm just looking for one more thing...the cashier shouted I'll take whoever is ready then! The woman looked in disbelief. My husband then asked for a whole grain baguette with his you pick two she said we can't do that...he said oh they are able to do it at the other Panera's and she snapped saying again we can't do it here! She was so busy being rude that she put our order in wrong and it had to be corrected upon arrival to our table. Very disappointing experience. Also, the runners just scream your name in the middle of the place looking for your table, most other Panera's have numbers...they need to get a better system, and start over with new staff and better training. This is a very successful chain and it is not hard to see why. The menu is fairly wide, from soups and salads to sandwiches and flatbreads. They have hot and cold drinks, coffee that is quite good, as well as smoothies and really good cookies. They don't " specialize" in any one area but rather do many things to a very good level. This new Panera opened down the road from the other one, away from the mall and across the street from a Whole Foods now so the location is much better. Parking still seems fairly limited. I came at 12:30 with two friends and the place was packed, only one table for us to sit at. It's a pretty standard Panera so the place is well kept and there is a nice take out shelf (good to know for future meals). A meal for three came to $42 but filled us all up and the food was spot on. Three stars for Average because it didn't blow me away (given that it's brand new) but it's also everything you expect and love from your local Panera. read more

But this one I was just put off by. The service started out alright. But then I was told they were no longer serving breakfast. Not here fault. I love Panera but this location in Milford is terrible. First every time I customize my sandwich or anything they never listen to the customizations and just make things how they want. Second I placed a curbside order and waited over 20 minutes and then they didn't even bring it out to my car I had to go through the drive-through and ask for my order and then it took another five minutes for them to get it for me it shouldn't take 45 minutes to get a flatbread pizza and half a salad. My husband is a breakfast person; I am not. Thank goodness for Panera Bread...he can get his quiche and I can get a basic bagel. I like Panera better for lunch. I am a huge fan of their soup and salad deal. Try the french onion soup with the half Caesar. It's my favorite combination for lunch! For breakfast, I go with the asiago cheese bagel toasted with lite cream cheese. I usually bring a water to drink because I hate to pay for bottle water and the orange juice has pulp in it. If you ask for a plastic cup, they will usually give you one for water out of the soda fountain though. Panera is a great place to people watch too. There are always people typing away on their laptops, groups of seniors laughing by the fireplace and couples just grabbing a quick breakfast. I really enjoy the atmosphere. read more

This place is amazing. Its like a home away from home. Very comfy and cozy inside - even has a little fireplace with couchy chairs! Everything that i had there is amazing, from the bacon turkey bravo to the cinnamon crunch bagel! Check your takeout order before you leave the drive thru! My salad was soooooo small! I ordered the half thinking it would be just right, thank goodness it came with chips. I would think they could spare some lettuce my container was half full with hardly any lettuce. More toppings than lettuce (the cheapest ingredient). I am went through cycles where I love and or hate panera. Right now I am back into loving them again. The good thing is they are a chain that is pretty consistent and I like their soup more than most. This location I think suffers from a poor location. The parking directly outside of the store is always crowded and to get into that section is a little odd. They are inside of a mall so it makes sense. I will say I think this location is older. They do not have the order stations where you can place it yourself. They also still give you pagers instead of bringing your food to you. This is the 3rd time I have eaten at this location and it was the most unsatisfiing experience yet. I did a rapid pickup and when I got there my order was not ready. They were out of what I ordered and needed to make me something else. That I understand but my phone number was on file and they could have called. Because they waited I had to sit for an additional time waiting. To top it off what they replaced my origional order with was just ok.
