That's just my opinion and why I have decided not to order delivery from them anymore. Reviewing the possibility of 2 items, coming less than 3-4 miles, at the most, just doesn't make sense. Adding up what I WAS going to order, considering ALL their fees, plus a very minimal tip for the driver, the extra cost comes to $10.68 on an $18.77 bill. That brings the total to $29.45. I was in the Murrieta area for work and wanted to get a drink, luckily their was a Panera around so I could take advantage of my sip club. I highly recommend you join. If you don't know what it is, it is a membership you can pay monthly or yearly and get unlimited drinks, every two hours every day, you can pick from sodas, teas, coffees, lemonade, etc. I love it! This location is very nice, clean and looks newer. It has a lot of seating inside, as well as patio seating and a drive thru as well. They are in a shopping complex so they also have a large lot for parking which makes it nice and easy. The staff was very nice, although my interaction was limited since I always use their app to pre-order my food and drinks, saves time, you can save money and it is always ready when you get there. I guess it's my fault for trying to get some food while I'm sick. I should have cooked a meal for myself while I'm sick. I spent $20 on food from Panera, drove home and realized the soup completely soaked through and ruined my car seat. I rushed back to Panera to get a refund because now I have to pay for my car to get cleaned and they only refunded me for the soup. I didn't eat the sandwich or the pastry I BOUGHT. The drink had so much ice in it I practically had 1 1/2 sips. I spent $20 on food that I didn't eat and haven't gotten a refund yet for. I spent $30 cleaning my car because I had to get it professionally don't after the tomato soup leaked. And now I haven't eaten in two days because I don't have money to pay for any more food, thanks Panera :) I love getting Panera when I'm sick! This happened over 6 years ago but I got locked out of that yelp account and felt the need to say it again. I was sitting in the drive through and then my car just straight up died. One employee came out and I told them and then next thing I know there are like 8 employees coming out and they literally PUSHED MY CAR FOR ME TO SAFETY into a parking spot and gave me my food FOR FREE. NICEST PEOPLE ON THIS EARTH. All of them offered to help me, some offered jumper cables, and all said to come inside if I need anything. I am currently waiting in the spot they so graciously pushed me into for my dad to come and help me as l sip my delicious frozen agave lemonade. Thank you kind people of Panera. The Chipotle chicken w egg, avocado and gouda on ciabatta is bomb!! Full of flavor and that sauce is delicious!! The Avocado, egg white, tomatoes, and spinach on sprouted grain bagel is so good and light!! The bread here is always good. I don't feel sluggish or blehh after eating here. What a disappointment! My food took forever. I ordered a cheese sandwich and macaroni and cheese. The sandwich bread was barely grilled, the cheese quality was equal to Kraft singles. The macaroni and cheese was barely warm. The staff looked like a bunch of zombies with no customer service skills at all. Delivery Driver DANIEL COTTER who works at this Panera location is the most unprofessional, entitled little brat that could ever exist. My company placed an order through EZCATER to host a luncheon event for our clients and this trashy driver who delivered the order left a negative review on the client's business page trashing them and whining because he didn't receive the amount of tip he wanted. Update: I was emailed a survey about my experience to which the manager emailed me to apologize and offer a refund. I responded that I wasn't able to come in due to being ill. I asked if I had to come in or if the manager could take care of it with the order information. The manager never responded. Wow sad to say that my drive through experience tonight wasn't great. While waiting for my 2 soup orders, I saw their advertisement for the cinnamon crunch latte iced and decided to order it through the app to meet an app promo to earn a reward. I received a text that my order was ready so I pulled forward and through the drive thru. Only to be told that they didn't have enough soup and that they could refund me for 1 or I could choose a different soup. I just asked for a refund. I told them I placed an additional order for a drink and she asked what drink did I order. I said the cinnamon crunch latte ICED. She said ok pull up to the window and we will have it all ready for you there. I pulled up to the window and had to wait a while who I assume was the supervisor on duty to come to the window for the refund. No one came to the window while I waited to greet and say they were still working on the order or that they were waiting for the supervisor to come over to refund me. BTW, I was the ONLY car in the drive thru. I could see through the window that the employees working looked like they were kind of just hanging out talking to each other. The supervisor did the refund and left. I continued waiting at the window for a while until an employee who was a younger woman handed me my soup order and a hot cup. I was confused and was like wait I ordered it iced and the girl was like no you didn't. You ordered it steamed and I was like hold on let me check and yes I did order my drink wrong. I did not select the iced one. I admit I was in a hurry and didn't realize the cinnamon crunch latte meant hot. The employee just walks away from the window and is talking with her coworkers. I felt the employee could've handled the interaction differently by being more understanding. She could've say, " I can see that you thought you ordered it iced based on your reaction however this is what came through on our end." It just felt like no you're wrong, I was right. Now I'm going to talk about how the customer was wrong with my coworkers. The negative experience and the perception as the customer waiting at the window. It just looked like the employees didn't like their jobs and didn't want to be there at work. Instead of having any sense of urgency it appeared they were taking their time socializing at the customers expense. I admit I was wrong and I wasn't rude about it. I was just questioning it like wait a minute I thought I ordered this and instead got that. I honestly was upset about how the employee handled the situation and as I thought about it some more. I realized they did ask me at the intercom what my drink order was and I told them ICED. They said ok pull up we will have it. I'm very shocked by this experience. The only reason I chose drive thru this time is because last time my order was stolen at rapid pick up. But at this point I'm not sure if I should continue even ordering from here. I just really couldn't believe the service. It was very off putting. I initially was surprised why this place had such a low rating. After this experience, I went through the reviews and noticed that there is a trend. Most of the bad reviews are from negative experiences with the drive thru that were similar to what I experienced. But lately I have been going through the drive thru at this Murrieta location and I don't see my order until I get home. For the second time, things have been left off my order. I ordered a pick two withe a flatbread pizza and a strawberry poppyseed salad with chicken . When I got home and opened up my salad, it did not have one piece of chicken. I normally love to eat here and the food is typically what you would expect at any Panera, few time have I been disappointed by the food alone. HOWEVER, they have been letting this strange man sit in the corner the restaurant and me and my family have had the unfortunate timing of seeing him twice now and each time he harasses us. last time was a few weeks ago, or so. He doesn't even buy anything either, not that I would typically care either, but he is such a hostile and threatening creep that I honestly don't feel comfortable eating here anymore with my family. Someone needs to take care of him! like, kick him out for good maybe?. The first time I complained about him cursing at us, I saw him again (months later) and he made a point to stare down me AND my YOUNG daughter, never breaking eye contact, not even once. For an hour or so, he did this, as we ate our 50 dollar meal together. He is a bigger guy, I'm sure you might know the one. I can't be the only one he has made uncomfortable, or worse. He verbally harassed us the first time. It was a few weeks ago I had to see him again, unfortunately. He made it is whole purpose to ensure my whole family was extremely uncomfortable the entire time. It is just one guy in particular..100% the same guy as the first time. Again, normally I wouldn't care.. BUT it's worth mentioning he does this AND doesn't even buy anything. I truly wouldn't care if he was not like this. I think that's the real issue, is that he thinks he can be some sort of ogre in the corner of the booths, immediately irritated if anyone sits in his vicinity, or just angry at the whole world. My husband and I used to love Panera. Went there regularly. His favorite was the steak and white cheddar sandwich. in the beginning it actually had meat on it. The last two times we've been there it's a slab of bread with mayonnaise. I pulled the meat off and weighed it. The meat weighed 0.08 of an ounce. not even an ounce of meat! Compared to the picture of what it's supposed to look like, I'd say this is the biggest rip off I've seen in fast food! There Has to be new management at the Murrieta facility. It used to be worth the money. And we went out of our way to go there frequently. Scratch the Murrieta location off our list. Bad bad management. Hopefully other locations aren't scrimping like this. Visited today for the first time in a while, I ordered from the ipad up front and went to the counter to get my drink as instructed. The employee I asked to get the cup stared at me blankly even after I repeated myself a few times and even elaborated on the situation. She literally stood there and stared at me for a very uncomfortable amount of time until another man walked over and just passed me a cup with no words. I got a sandwich and the bread was nearly ripped in half making all the ingredients spill everywhere not to mention it was DROWNING In Mayo... seriously spilling out in puddles all over the plate I couldn't even see the ingredients just mayo.
