I came here for breakfast takeout for my mama's birthday. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd wanted a quiche, however, that was not on their menu. I LOVE PANERA. I don't know why this location is rated so low! ITS AMAZING HERE! I always get the pick two deal thingy and it's always great. The staff are so kind, the service is spot on, and food is freshly made and deliciously perfect. I really like the seating arrangement here because its really conveniently set up. I recently ordered the Teriyaki Chicken & Broccoli bowl, which costs a bit over $13. I used their app and ordered on a Wednesday night. The ordering process was pretty straightforward and it was ready in time. When I got the food however, the portion was pretty small and disappointing. It was maybe half of what I was expecting, significantly smaller than other restaurants that may have offered a similar bowls at the same price point. Taste-wise it was okay, but certainly nothing to be excited about. As for the location, it's a pretty decent-sized space with plenty of room to sit down with a friend or do some work. However, the wifi is spotty at best, so I wouldn't try to do any video calls on their wifi. There's plenty of parking lot in this plaza, so you shouldn't have much trouble with that. read more

Walking in made me want to leave. Nobody with a smile was at the counter. The place didn't smell good, in fact it was quite messy and dirty behind the counter. I wanted 1/2 salad and the price posted was 6.89. (I was charged $2 more--an upcharge wthout telling me. The Fugi-Apple Salad had stale apple chips, wilted lettuce, and no dressing. The decaf coffee was cold, and when I went for a second cup, there was no more although the manager said it was there. My husband ordered a chicken-cheese sandwich which looked drab. The total price for one sandwich and 1/2 salad with 2 coffees was $27.00. For that price I could have gone to Founding Farmer or Seasons 52. Could I give this place a minus star? read more

As much as I love the Mediterranean Sandwich & enjoyed the one that was included w/ this order, the rest of the order tonight at Panera Bread in East Norriton was totally botched and definitely not worth the $ 57.64. First off, I cannot believe that "accuracy matters" when Panera Bread is out of all the baguettes ,sprouted rolls, potato chips and strawberry yogurt that weordered. When I pick up an online order there should be no margin of error, especially at Panera Bread. Therefore, if any of the items detailed in the order are 86 , it is Panera Bread's duty to make that known to customers who are picking up at the rapid order shelves. This order did not contain the 2 bags of chips listed on the receipt, did not include the 2 strawberry yogurts listed on the receipt, did not contain the 1 BWL VegSprtGrn Soup Bag/roll, or the Bag/roll for the broccoli soup (soup was included). What was included was a large chicken soup that had not been ordered! And that bowl of soup did not help the vegetarian for whom it was brought home. At the bottom of the receipt it says, "accuracy matters:" if your order is not right, let an associate know and we will fix it right away. Well, if I am already home, how do I let an associate know that there was a real problem w/ the order. The answer is a definite no. I should not have to open all the soup lids, dig through all the layers of food to determine if the order was properly packed? The fact of the matter is that I am spending $ 57.64 to be sure that the order was properly packed & I can go home confident that the order is correct. Not only am I deeply disappointed but so are my family members who did not get what they ordered. It is really a shame that this disappointing situation occurred because we love Panera Bread. But in all sincerity, I think Panera Bread as a whole has lost our trust because the order was bungled on so many levels & it will be a long time till we visit again. read more

I've been to Panera Bread in Norristown twice with friends, for breakfast and dinner. It's casual, it's a chain, they're not mega-expensive, there's lots of seating (tables and booths, and a semi-private room), and large windows to look out of. There's not much of a view, but on sunny days, it's relaxing. Free wireless Internet access guarantees you'll see a few folks with laptops working (or surfing the web) hard. Sunday mornings they're lightly staffed, but that isn't an issue since there's barely anyone there at the crack of dawn. I had a quiche which was tasty. For dinner, I was in a whimsical mood, so I went for the kids meal, getting a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, which included yogurt in a plastic container (think Go-GURT). The whole shebang (yogurt, sammich, and apple juice box) was organic, and not expensive (less than $5). Comically, my juice box "wasn't a source of nutrients". I like Panera's soups once in awhile (sometimes salty, but you know what you're getting into), and I'm not yet aware of any place in the Norristown area with free wi-fi where you can loiter without being kicked out. read more

Good stuff on sale, and very friendly staff. We went in to pick up a quick snack, and the guy behind the counter was very helpful and nice. He was patient when I had to go back to my car to get my Panera Rewards card, and he made some good conversation with us while we were ordering. At one point, I had ordered a bigger cookie that costs more, so he alerted me to that, and I ended up changing my mind. Overall a good experience! read more

One of the employees was standing in the dining room without a mask. She and the GM Gary Ford were chatting their hearts away while she coughed on the back of her hand. Hey Gary!!! Guess what, we have a nasty killer virus running rampant in our world. When I asked him about this employee talking without a mask he said she's standing in a corner a way from everyone. Well she's not, she's in the DINING ROOM talking to him, thinking she's cute. I asked for my money back and called him an idiot. Panera Bread is one of my favorite eateries, and I tried so many places. Visiting this East Norriton location, however, was the worst experiences ever. I have always preferred to substitute eggs with over-easy egg. Today was no exception. When I opened the box, virtually all of the over-easy egg was completely broken, that all the yolk was outside the sandwich, and on the bottom of the box. I walked on to the hot beverage station; all the beverage choices, hot water, dark roast, light roast, etc., were completely empty! The store manager in charge was casually talking to an employee, completely unaware of the outage of beverage. Finally, I used the restroom on my way out, and found that paper towel was completely out. I alerted the store manager, who still was chatting with a female employee. It is good thing that there are quite a few other Panera Bread location near I live. I will make every effort to avoid going to the East Norriton location. read more

I came here for a lunchtime meeting with my coworkers. We were sitting in the back room area (which is sectioned off from the rest of the space) and had some bagels that were purchased for the meeting. I ate one of the blueberry bagels and it was overly sweet. When I ordered an orange juice, I felt like I waited way too long to get my order taken even though there was only one person in front of me (apparently it took like 10 min to get her order!) The one employee, Troy, was constantly asking if we needed anything and was super helpful. The cons: We were in the back room area for our meeting. At lunch time, the whole place fills up so we had tons of people on cell phones and such in the same room, so it got hard to focus on the meeting. My service today was horrible. I haven't been in a while but today my cashier (who seemed to be the manager) was very unwelcoming. Didn't ask me my preferred apple or chips just gave me chips. I ordered the half sandwich (Tuna without tomato) and onion soup. The tuna arrived with tomato, but without onion. It was dripping mayo down the side. The onion soup was the temperature of soup when you open it out of the can and the cheese was cold. It was not edible. read more

This Panera can be hit or miss. The quality of the food and drink is usually very good, but sometimes the service and food availability isn't great. The cashiers sometimes don't seem eager to help you. I've had them just stare at me instead of inviting me over as the next person in line. It once took 10 minutes to get a smoothie when no one else was really even there. Then when it was made the guy just left it in the blender instead of giving it to me. Other times I've tried to place online orders and it has said that items weren't available, but were there on display when I arrived. One of the least inspired Paneras that I have ever been to. The workers don't seem interested in being there. It's the first time ever that they didn't offer me the $1 bakery item, and I actually wanted it! (I did make sure to get it) My cashier was quiet and shy. I felt like she was brand new but instead of taking forever and looking to management without looping me in, makes for an awkward experience. Just say, I'm new, I need to ask how to enter this. Standing at an angle away from me in silence while staring at another employee waiting for then to finish their task is weird. Food was consistent and new ravioli dish was good as part of my pick two. Bacon turkey bravo has continued to represent for years now. This location was not that clean as well. Loved this place! It's the first time I was ever at a Panera Bread. I had the strawberry and chicken salad and it was delightful. The only way they could improve the food is by making gluten-free bread. I did not think the front cashier was particularly pleasant, friendly, or happy. But she got the job done. Since we had never been there before it would have been nice for someone to help us get started. We could not even tell where to place our order. This is a great place to go for a quick meal or to get some work done. They have mainly healthy options so it's a good thing for you if you are watching what you eat like me. Their salads are super fresh and my favourites are the ones with avocado. They offer a wide variety of drinks as well, but every time I go I order the frozen lemonades because they are a nice refreshing drink when you want to cool down. They also have free WiFi so that's nice to have. I would recommend coming here but the lines can get a little long and it gets crowded around lunch time so plan ahead. The reason this is a four star and not a five for me though is because all of the baked goods are overdone, while the ones in KOP are always light and fluffy. read more

Dirtiest panera I've ever been to. I've been here probably 10 times. Bathrooms are always filthy. Floors and tables in the restaurant are not cleaned promptly so it just always looks dirty. I've dined at this location a few times and it's not bad. While chains are all the same, there is usually something that sets one apart. At this particular location, don't try to get a bagel after 5:00pm. They are usually gone by the evening. The young ladies working at the register are usually pretty friendly and the service is always accurate. I haven't had a bad experience here. read more

Came here for lunch. The server who took my order was wonderful. He was happy to take my order and make all the modifications I needed. I am pregnant so I can't have cold lunch meat. He offered to put it on the grill so I could enjoy my favorite meal. The service was great, especially for it's location. The employees were happy and my food was received quickly. This is of course a large chain that advertises itself as the healthy alternative to fast food. It's generally true, and I like going here if I am in a hurry. This particular location seems as if it has had some problems with service, according to other reviews. My service experience was consistent with most of the other ones. Basically just fine. Didn't wait long at all. I like to try their new stuff, it relieves the boredom of repeat visits to a chain. I had the onion soup and the new power spinach salad. Soup was very good, croutons and gruyere, yum. The salad had a good mix of ingredients, but many were diced too tiny to suit me. When that happens, the ingredients fall to the bottom and soak in the dressing. And like most chains, they pile on the dressing here. read more

What I got out of this branch is exactly what others have mentioned thus far: Service isn't that good and the quality was severely lacking for a panera, even comparing to other branches near by. Reading some of the previous reviews would make you think Panera is terrible. It really isn't. I don't know if all the criteria to make it great are there yet. But, it's not terrible. It's actually good quality fresh food. Done up in an artisan kind of way with the business plan of Fast Food. Panera sells confectioneries, coffees and handmade sandwiches along with a small selection of soups/salads. I've always liked their pastries, and the Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich is so good. You can get your soup in a bowl and or a bread bowl. Service is quick and the facilities are comforting. read more
