We ordered a lot of food so maybe the workers were mad and decided to take their frustration out on us, but cmon. Prices go up, portions get smaller, it's where we are at now, I get it. But if I order a chicken sandwich maybe add some chicken in it? This sandwich was all bread and veggies. I literally couldn't taste chicken. I'm done with Panera, if this is your quality now I'll just make it at home. Anyone can put a few veggies in bread and call it a sandwich and charge $14+ for it. Great Panera location! Always clean and there's ample seating indoors with some tables with umbrellas outside too. I always enjoy Panera so the review on the food applies to all locations. Livin' the drive thru life. This Panera in Rancho Cordova, is one of the few that have a drive thru. And it's not too far or cumbersome to get to from Highway 50. Easy enough to get to. But the drive thr ordering/pickup window is physically immediate after the right turn. So if you don't angle your car close enough, you'll be stretch armstronging. And it doesn't help if you have TRex arms. I've been stopping by here occasionally throughout the years. Customer service has been great. But the food quality is a hit or miss. On my last visit, the BLT was a dismal representation of a sandwich. It had two thin, short, see thru, microwave type bacon. But they served the bacon ice cold. Interesting Panera choice. The lettuce was an arugula salad mix. Another interesting Panera choice. The tomato slice was super thin. The bread was delicious, but doesn't make up for the lackluster sandwich. We also ordered a half order of Greek salad and half chicken Napa salad sandwich. The salad was chock full of the hard core of inner romaine lettuce. Odd the romaine had the core without the leafy green part as it seemed to be sliced off. Another interesting Panera choice. The chicken Napa is my favorite all time sandwich at Panera. I tasted the Pepsi and it tasted like so I told an employee or the manager. The kiosks were dirty so it was good that they still have someone at the counter to take your orders. The soup, sandwiches and salads are good. Cashier informed me they were out of hard boiled eggs, that was fine, but I think the recipe can be improved with cheese! Cobb salad traditionally comes with bleu cheese? The chipotle chicken sandwich was actually not bad, and the ciabatta is crispy with a salty crust. Environment wise, wifi was very slow. I must say that if you place an order two hours prior to close they will most likely be missing an ingredient or be out of what you originally planned on ordering. Unfortunately, this has been my experience countless times. Tonight, about 45 minutes before closing, I drove my two sons through the Panera drive thru for dinner. I attempted to order two grilled cheese sandwiches for one of my sons but they were out of the sour dough bread and offered the tomato basil bread as a replacement. My son declined and asked if we could go through Jimboys drive thru for his dinner. I ordered a small Mac and cheese for my second son and a you pick two meal with a chipotle chicken avocado melt and a strawberry poppyseed salad minus the chicken for myself. When we arrived home and unpacked our dinner, we were extremely disappointed to find that my son's order of mac and cheese was missing all together and my strawberry poppyseed salad had zero strawberries. The only fruit in the salad were a few blueberries, and some pineapple. The norm consists of mandarins, blueberries, pineapple, and strawberries. The salad did have old soggy disintegrating lettuce greens. The salad also had chicken, which I specifically asked for without chicken. The salad went straight into the trash. I tried to call and request a refund but no one answered the phone. I literally just payed $28.80 for a chipotle chicken avocado melt that had two of the smallest slivers of avocado on it and two baguettes which are sides to the original orders placed. I am very upset. Panera, this is absolutely ridiculous. I love the Panera menu but this specific location has messed up my order many times. I would have to say they have messed up my order, including missing part of the order all together at least 6 times in the past 3 years. I do not think I will be returning after this last horrible experience, which is unfortunate because Panera is one of the few fast food places where our whole family enjoys something on the menu. My 6 year old was crying because he was really looking forward to his Panera mac and cheese. I will be driving through another drive through for him after driving through another fast food place for my other son who originally wanted Panera's grilled cheese sandwiches. But this time I decided to actually try their menu! Food: So I've tried their Bbq chicken Mac n cheese! That was very good but too bad it was only available for a limited time. Their breakfast sandwich on wheat sourdough is yummmmmy! I always get mine with sausage added as well as the egg n bacon that already comes with it. Also their iced mochas are to DIE for! It's made just right! It doesn't taste cheap if you know what I mean. And their souffles aren't bad either! Very filling, I like the bacon and spinach one very much! I had lunch today with two friends. We ordered three BLTs with basil and a drink each. the total was more than $50.00. We were all surprised at how small the sandwiches were. the tomatoes were paper thin and there was no detectable basil. The sandwiches did not look anything pictured on the menu. I know we have been told inflation is too blame for all of the ills in this country. Businesses have to make adjustments but tomatoes and basil are grown just down the road. have the price of these vegetables increase so much that they to be served paper thin? With Panera around the corner we went in to order. We waited what felt like almost 10 minutes with just two people ahead of us. At that point hubby recommended to use the "fast and easy kiosks." Fast and easy? I think not. It took longer to place our simple order on the kiosk. Would I recommend to use these, no. From this particular Panera location, I am sadden by the poor customer service. I use this location for a lot of my office lunches. Food is great but customer service has taken a dip for the worse. Bagels sliced uneven to a point of why cut it if you don't slice evenly. #1 ISSUE - NO ONE IS ANSWERING THE PHONE!!!! No email confirmation for large catering order. So I tried to call several times, I wish there was a chat function or something to confirm order. Now I wait patiently to see if they deliver or not.
