Updated this review to 3 stars as it was actually open at 6 AM on the Monday after news years... while every other area Panera didn't open until much later. Yes, they get credit for showing up... half of life is just showing up! Walked in, 7:20 AM, bins are full of bagels, asked to buy a bagel and was informed "oh, sorry, we are not selling any bagels today." Now I could explain further but there is something seriously wrong with your business model... or the way this one location is being run... if you are in the business of selling bagels and you can not accommodate a single bagel purchase. Yes, ok, they had a large bagel pack order that wiped out their inventory (though all the bins were full as were trays behind them) but they also failed to offer any alternative. Like "can I offer you a pastry or a free coffee for your inconvenience." Nada, nothing but blank stares. So, yeah for them, they sold out their limited inventory (why so limited?) but they will now disappoint every other customer that walks into their location today. So, satisfied a single customer and pissed off everyone else. That sheds a bit of light on why this location has such a low Yelp rating. Which reminds me of the 6 P's... I love Panera. I joined unlimited sip club because I go to Panera 4-5 times a week. I should stop going so much because the amount of money I spend here is insane. Everyone has a good attitude and rarely do you get bad service. BUT the amount of times they get my order wrong is crazy. Last time I paid for avocado and they didn't put any. Then the next day I complained and he said, no worries we will put avocado at no cost to you. Well, that didn't happen. I order a breakfast sandwich replace the egg with white egg and they put both. My niece loves the chocolate chip cookies and they are almost always sold out. Doesn't matter if is in the morning or lunch. If you order the poppyseed salad or oatmeal most of the time they ran out of strawberries. They never give you your receipt, you ask for it and sometimes they seemed bother. Today the first thing I requested was my receipt when I handed my card. He gave me my card no receipt. Gave me the drinks and then gave me my food. I question the receipt he said oh wait please. I waited then 3 minutes later- I get a I'm sorry I can't get it. I was in the drive thru so I didn't want to make a fuss and make the rest of the customers late to work. But why is it so hard to get your receipt? I know some will question why I'm making a big deal about my receipt but I have been wrongly charged before and it's good to have to clear your bank statement. I went to a bookstore and purchased a $9.00 book and was charged $90.00. Well I didn't have my receipt to dispute. So, now I clear all my transactions and then toss my receipts. read more

This Panera has the worse service, I ordered through the app and the order wasn't ready at the time listed. That wasn't the problem, they pass you a cup with no lid and ice and sugar syrup and say you have to self serve yourself iced coffee. I wanted to love this location since it's on my way to work, I hope the customer service and interaction improves. read more

Finally tried this place as I was anxious to see a new business in our area. What a huge disappointment. Staff was very rude and food was terrible. I ordered the flatbread and it came out undercooked, I ask if they can remake it and of course I received an attitude and what she did was toasted back up and it came out burnt. So sad that it's a brand new business and there's no proper training. I wished there would of been another business that would of came into Rialto that would be worth supporting. read more

Well after reading the rest of these reviews, it seems I should expect the poor service I continue to receive at this Panera location. THE DRIVE THRU IS NEVER OPEN. I have been here 3 times with cones blocking drive thru. I have also been through the drive thru once and when I got to the window to pay was told they no longer had what I ordered. Like what? And now, again, Monday morning. Drive thru not open. Asked an "employee" sitting outside eating is they were open, yes we are open, what about drive thru? Not enough staff. Don't go here. read more

Bad experience on my first try of Panera, Drive thru order. Finally decided to give this place a try since is new and I see these restaurants a lot. This is a shopping center that's been upgraded with new business and it was exciting a Panera would open here. Got to the drive Thru and the girl sounded friendly and asked if a had a Panera rewards and I said no, this is actually my first time at Panera, The menu looks very tentative, everything sounds good, so I ordered Half BBQ chicken sandwich,half strawberry poppyseed salad a bowl of teriyaki chicken and a cup of broccoli cheddar. Got to the window and was charged $28.66 for what I ordered, didn't get a receipt so I assumed it would be in the bag with my order. Got home and realized I was missing the soup, I looked for the receipt but there was none. Hot day but I was craving the soup so I got back in my car and drive back to the store. I explained the girl what happened and she just went to get the soup for me. I asked her if I could get a copy of the receipt and she got it for me with just a simple Sorry about that" Got home to try the food and everything cold but was actually tasty. I read the receipt and I started laughing at the top part of it where it says : ACCURACY MATTERS just the fact that I had leave the house to go back to the restaurant is worth 0 starts alone, but the salad was good and you can't leave less than one so 1 it is. Went through drive through to order the salad. The person asked if I wanted chicken on my salad at which point I responded yes. I then asked for additional salad dressings. I get my bag, no salad dressings so I walk inside. Didn't think to check my salad. I get home and get my salad and of course no chicken as if they didn't even check the order. It's really over priced. 1.60 per cream cheese cup? Umm? Here's the thing, I bought the bagel, you expect me to eat it without cream cheese? Price gouging at its finest. It's pretty dirty. Dusty furniture, the workers take multiple breaks and just don't seem to care that much. They sit during their breaks and I've never seen anyone clean a table. I got the Cobb salad last night and my apple was very bruised and scratched. Takes forever for salad orders to come out. The steak and cheddar sandwich has maybe 2 ounces of steak in the entire sandwich. They skimp on portions. They gave me a half order salad instead of a full order but put it in a full order bowl just so it looked like more than it was. read more

On 11/29/23, around 11:30 am, I decided to treat myself to Panera Bread located on Riverside Avenue in Rialto near the 10 freeway. I was greeted by Emily with a welcoming smile as I entered the casual restaurant . I was not familiar with the menu other than bagels and cream cheese. Emily suggested a few top selling soups, salads and sandwiches, and the pick 2. The food was fresh and served with a smile from another near by taller counter. I was amazed at the professionalism as I, observed positive interaction with the manager and one of the team members. I was soon greeted by a passing manager. The food was amazing and the restaurant was clean. I will be back soon to try the turkey chili. read more

Had a tuna sandwich from Panera bread. The tuna was good but not enough for the price. The sandwich was huge but it was the filler's, 4 slices of large tomatoes, and a big portion of the greens piled on that made the sandwich appear to be filled with tuna. I was very excited for this Panera to open since it's right by the gym! There hot coffee is self-serve even if you order ahead for rapid pick up which I've never experienced at any other Panera from Palm Desert to Pasadena but the most frustrating thing is I ordered an iced coffee yesterday and was told it was also self serve... So what happens when you add scolding hot coffee to a cup of ice? Of course! It melts!! I'm hoping these are merely flukes because they are a new store and hopefully they will take notes from all of the other stores that pour everything and have it ready for their customers... I called corporate (No Yelp page had been created until I created one just now) and they said they would send my feedback to the store. I will continue to visit this store since it's right here close to me but I will also continue to complain if something doesn't change... at least with the iced coffee. If not then please take "iced coffee" off the menu since it is in actuality lukewarm coffee with zero ice. read more
