I haven't been to a Panera this clean and friendly ever! The associates are so kind and welcoming. I believe I was helped by two associates while ordering named fabrisio and if I'm not mistaken Emma ? But they were so helpful with choosing the best order to fit my peanut allergen. They do such an amazing job by cleaning their food making stations to Disinfect Any food contamination with my allergens. Overall it truly is an amazing restaurant to eat. They do take a while preparing food, but hey what place doesn't especially when you want quality food. Expect a wait, they do get a lot of orders during the day. So don't be rude to the workers. I did see a customer or two yell at one of the cooks for the wait, when they had just ordered 10 minutes prior. Like I mentioned do expect a wait. It is a restaurant at the end of the day. read more

Last evening, 10/25/2021, I believe half the population of our city craved a cup of soup and sandwich to ward off the chill during the coldest and wettest storm we've had in a very long time. The manager and staff at this cafe truly hustled to provide good quality food for an immense crowd of online orders while still trying to manage a full dining area. I want to commend this staff for keeping the environment light, being supportive and positive to each other, and maintaining a very professional and apologetic tone with the patrons who had extended wait times for orders. I'm sure they had plenty of complaints and grouchy customers to face, but I felt they did an amazing job with the large crowd and limited staff. So thank you to all the employees at the cafe, because it's a hard time to work in food service and retail these days. There are lots of us patrons who appreciate your effort. Every time I come here there's nobody to take care of ordering, there are four to five people behind the counter talking, but only one person takes orders, It seems like they talk at this location more than they work, So if you're any kind of rush it's definitely not the place to go for lunch. Must have came in at the right time! Despite the other negative reviews. Maybe they realized that the holidays bring out the worst in people so they just got really good at acting like they love they're job! Anywho boyfee and I came through since it's been a chilly day. I got myself the bread bowl with autumn soup (its vegan and it is extremely delicious, so creamy and the bread bowl softness sucks it up very well) with a Turkey melt,avocado, sundried tomatoes and swiss panini. Also a side of chips and a small drink for the yummy different iced teas they have on deck. I personally like to mix the green tea passionfruit pear. With the hibiscus,papaya tea. Boyfee got himself a Cuban with a whole wheat bread bun on the side, and a frozen "mocha" that tasted like frozen hot chocolate. Or should I say frozen chocolate milk. There was no coffee taste to it at all! (So you guys might need to get it together *emoji clap hands*) Other then that our total for everything came out to be about $32 and some change. Service: helpful and prompt. Decore': your pretty much standard location, booths, tables and chairs. Self serving drink area, entrance leads you right into the cashier line to take your food orders, and the pastry area right next to it. FREE WIFI! Consistency of customers is pretty average. They do clean after you so you dont have to lift a finger, unless you decide you want to help make they're job easier by putting away your own dishes. We left with happy tummys. I got there exactly at the time I requested and they haven't even started the order and told me they have 16 orders... How do you get bagels and not have cream cheese? That and the limited number of options were a real disappointment. The food was good but they left out my side order ( apple) and also shorted me my second piece of bread for my second soup.

The quality has just declined severely. I'm vegetarian and I usually order the Mediterranean sandwich with Gouda, on several occasions my pickle always has deli chicken all over it, if I was super picky I would return the entire sandwich but I just always end up tossing the pickle. The veggies in my sandwich the last couple of times are clearly old, the lettuce is not only wilted but it's brown and goopy. I don't want to come here anymore especially after this last time. My sandwich was made so sloppy everything was just falling apart and when I disassembled it to put it together properly, the wax paper was still on my Gouda cheese. Honestly I'm not surprised they have a 2.6 review they were highly unprofessional and incompetent I ordered an order Friday for my company granted I called talked to their store manager Monique that I would need it on time of pick up 6:15 on Monday my order confirmed pick up time I went to the cafe at 6:30 (mind you 15 minutes after my scheduled pick up time )and the employees told me I was 30 mins early I couldn't pick up until 7:00 how is it marked for rapid pick up if the time THEY give you is incorrect he said they were not informed of the pick up time even though it says it right on top of my order ... then they come out 20 mins later and tell me they are all out of sausage breakfast sandwich's they offered me other bread however there was a two dollar difference in price I paid for the more expensive one and they gave me the cheaper one I don't understand how I placed the order Friday and they ran out ? ... and as I'm waiting mind you it's 7:15 am they are in the back of the kitchen talking playing on their phones so I ask nicely how much longer and he hands me the bag already done ! I'm giving this a 2 star review because of this location. I'm usually a big Panera bread fan but this location always seems disappoint. They are not consistent on their food items. This is by far my favorite Panera in Riverside and the surrounding area, for many reasons. My wife have dutifully been coming to this location for years, and I have been coming here for years before her. One thing that we've noticed over the years is how much more interesting this location is for people watching. I know it's a strange reason to come to a restaurant, but a sandwich is a sandwich is a sandwich from Panera... and this place just has that extra element that makes sitting down and eating here so much more appealing to a couple as observant as us. Foodwise, this place is as good as any other Panera, service has it's ups and downs. As with any place that employs part time employees- we've seen good and bad ones come and go. it's always hit or miss on if we get all the right silverware we need or if the extra dressings are present when we receive our food. Sometimes they are on their game, sometimes not. I have these issues at every Panera, so I can't dock this one for it over another.
