Im an ongoing customer, but these last weeks the food, cleanliness, customer service, has definitely declined. My meals have not been properly prepared, missing sauces, and ingredients (onions,cheese, etc.), my soup brocolli cheddar was watered down, my silverware was dirty, and the person preparing the food had a bad attitude, he seemed upset to be at work, the restrooms are extremely dirty. If I could put negative stars, I would. The website won't place orders and the phone app won't allow for delivery. So I phoned. The person who answered the phone transferred me to a manager, Shawn Tuiaea. He was rude and not helpful at all. He said I could not place my order over the phone. After I told him that he beefed to place my order because I could not place it any other way, he said he would check to see if he had a driver and asked me what department he should go through. I said I don't care what department you use, I just want my food delivered. He said, you could come pick it up, I said, if I wanted to do that I would not be on the phone. He said, well, it seems like you can't be pleased so I can give you the number to our corporate office. I said, what? Now you refuse to help me? You just said you'll look for a driver and now your not?! He Said, well it seemed like you didn't want that. I said, I want my lunch delivered. He said he would check, put me on hold, and I've been on hold for 10 minutes. He's not coming back. I place large orders for business meetings often. Or I USED to. On Monday, October 24, I ate some soup and a salad for lunch at the Riverside Plaza Panera restaurant. Monday afternoon I started feeling tired and a little queasy. By Tuesday evening I was sick but thought I had the flu because I was achy and had a fever. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday the flu-like symptoms continued and included diarrhea. I called my health care provider and was able to talk with a PA who told me, after asking relevant questions, that I had food poisoning most likely from the salad I ate at Panera. The following week I was still sick with no appetite and feeling dizzy and nauseous all the time. I had to go to urgent care twice. I got an IV the second time because I was dehydrated. I called the restaurant on Thursday, November 3. One of the employees took notes on my experience and said the manager would call me the following day. I haven't heard from her yet. I will never eat at this Panera Bread again and don't recommend it to anyone else ever. read more

The parking situation here is ridiculous... you'll never be able to quickly park and run in, but I understand that is out of Panera's control. Every time I order through rapid it shows me an eta of 5-10 minutes from now, however when I show up at that time it takes additional 15-20 minutes and theirs a huge line of people experiencing the same thing. I have one complaint about this specific location. On numerous occasions I've experienced and witnessed others being ignored when requesting items that were missing or not available for customers. For instance, I order large iced coffee, one day they didn't have ice and today they didn't have large cups out. Both times I asked for help, I was acknowledged and then never actually helped. We come here regularly and today (2/25) we ordered at the kiosk and they were sold out of the tulip sugar cookie and that's our favorite part about eating here. But paneras awesome employee Dana went above and beyond and found the last one and brought it out to us when we were waiting for our lunch! Truly made our day. Thank you again Dana. I first of all like to apologize to all those that have had bad experiences at Panera. But Panera is easily one of my favorite three places to eat. Personally being a vegetarian there's more options available to me than other places. I also LOVE my pasta and bread bowls soo...Panera is awesome. They have a wide variety of soups, sandwiches, salads and a good choice of pastas. They're desserts such as the mini rhubarb cake is delicious, they make pretty good drinks. I don't always get those. I love they're pick two where you pick two, your choices are: -cup of soup -half a sandwich -salad -pasta And it's a pretty good amount for $7.12, so in my opinion you get a pretty good fills worth for the price you pay. The food is good but the service is bad! I took a couple of my team members out for a well deserved lunch. We had been working on a project and I figured lets get off site. They opted for Panera so we decided to patron this location. Ashley was a bit brash and very snappy therefore making out ordering experience not the most pleasant. We got our order in and decided to find a place to sit. We got our drinks and then waited for our food. One of the sandwiches came out incorrect, we told the server and he went back to get it corrected, he brought it back it was still incorrect he took it back a second time and once more it was incorrect and this time a completely different sandwich then what was ordered. He takes it back again, finally it comes back correct however they forgot the chocolate chip cookie. My staff had completed their food by the time my order got made correctly. How hard is it NOT to put mayo on a sandwich and to get slaw on the side and not on the sandwich. The fact that a simple sandwich couldn't be made properly coupled with the attitude of Ashley did not make for a pleasant dining experience. read more

Every time I order an advance catering order from this store, they are alway late! I have scheduled to pick up the catering and the order is still late! They never have orders ready when it's requested. This morning I received a call from the driver (at the time my order is supposed to be delivered) and he says "I'm on my way, I'm just waiting for your coffee to brew" then how are you on your way if your still at the store? They have a very nonchalant attitude about being late too. Poor service, and poor customer service! read more

As far as Panera locations go, this one is average to above average. My main issue with this location is that their counter customer service personnel need a lot of training. Whenever I come into this location, the counter service people are always working on another task and they often leave you with the impression that the unpacking of plastic utensils are somehow more important than a paying customer. Because they are rushed, their attitude can be piss poor at times. For example, when I ordered a dozen bagels and asked for two tubs of cream cheese that haven't been sitting out on the counter (rather than in the refrigerator), all I got back was attitude from the counter person stating that she had "literally just brought them from the back." As I had been standing in line I knew that to be not true. I took her attitude as a no and I cancelled the cream cheese order. As I left, the tubs of cream cheese were still sitting on the counter. It is obvious that they either don't have enough staff assigned to perform all their work tasks or the closing crew is not properly stocking for the morning shift. Either way it is management issue. I need to find a new place to get bagels. read more

Typical Panera Bread-- but located in the Riverside Plaza. Lunch time does get a little packed; however, this place is usually a great place to study or just catch a bite with a friend. On top of that, not a lot of students from UCR come here-- which is a plus because I hate small talks and running into random people. There are great deals here and delicious soup-- which is like the same as the other Panera Bread locations. I would list some items here on this review, but I've already done so on the Pasadena location. Free wi-fi, and the workers here are pretty friendly. The best suggestion is to apply for the MyPanera card-- just because you get free items RANDOMLY! First time using the Panera app to pick up my order, pretty simple. I get to Panera and wait a little, I go in the restroom and it's filthy. Then I go to see where I pick up my order and I asked an employee where do I wait and how do I know my order is ready. This place is a rip off. I have used their pick-up service and it has always been short. Today I was 4 bagels short and they refunded 2. I also order cream cheese for 18 bagels, supposed to be included and they sent a single cream cheese for 1 bagel. I also ordered a sandwich and a side and didn't get the side. Not a place to go to. I ordered curbside pick up since I'm in a rush for work. I was sure to place my order extra early, so that I didn't have an excuse to be late. I show up and let them know from my app that I had arrived. I waited in my car for over 15 minutes with no sign of my simple 2 item order. An iced coffee and a blueberry muffin. Finally, I decided to go inside and grab my order. I thought they were probably packed and that's why my order was not coming out, but no. There was nobody in there. Empty. I ask the lady what the problem was and she said they didn't have my order. When I can see it right there!! She asked for my name and that was my food and drink. So I leave with my bag and drink and get to work and my order was completely wrong. I ordered a blueberry muffin. They had given me a vanilla cinnamon roll. Not only am I late to work because of Panera, I am out of a breakfast and will not drink my watered down iced coffee. We ordered dinner for our family of five. Picked up the order and it was missing two orders. We checked the receipt and they had charged us for all five. I called them, and they said they'd make us the missing meals, but we'd have to drive back and pick it up. To compensate us from the trouble their mistake caused us, they offered us a "free pastry." The offer was underwhelming, obviously, so I had them refund us for the two orders. Half of my family are Panera while I cooked meals for the other two. Thanks for ruining our dinner, Panera! Don't bother coming to this place.
