Took 40 minutes to get our food, and significantly overpriced. Won't be back, unfortunately

Love Panera! It was a go-to when I lived back home and am so happy we have it branching out in Utah!

This is the slowest Panera / fast food restaurant I've ever been to. First few weeks, even month of opening? Understandable. After that, when there are 2 cars in the drive thru & the parking lot is empty? I just can't get past it. The first week this Panera opened i made an online order. It's 2'ish pm, after the lunch rush, & it gave me a pick up time of 30min from time of order. I knew it would be busy, so I waited 1 hour before i got there. Sat in the drive thru for 20min... didn't move. Luckily the 3 people behind me backed out, so i did as well. Went inside, no order ready. Asked 3 workers, was directed to someone else, finally the manager, angrily, found my order & handed it to me. Not a single word, just a rude glare. I gave them ample time, & honestly if he would have apologized, i wouldn't even have written this review. Now, months later, here i am again. 3pm. Two cars ahead of me, & i order a cup of soup ($6 by the way... ouch). I sat in line for 30min, guys I hope they figure it out. I hope the manager decides to treat customers like he wants them back. Quiana girl !!!!! She was so helpful and had such a positive attitude taking my order!! I've never been to Panera, so this being a first time for me, she definitely made my whole day and i'll definitely be coming back. 10/10. I was so excited for a Panera to open since the only one was at the airport till recently. I love their soup and sandwich combo and you can't go wrong with their chocolate chip cookies, always so good. It does seem to be busy most of the time but that makes sense since it's the only Panera location in Utah. The service is good and the people are nice. read more

Ordered dinner for husband and myself as we were kidless tonight I love Panera. I love their consistency and their seasonal menu selections. Had the French onion soup and an Asian salad Husband had chili and steak and cheese sandwich. Yum but..... the portions were quite small for the roughly$20 a person. I'm comparing their portions to Zupas and would recommend they look at that AND My French onion soup didn't have the to toasted bread w/ melted cheese on top just the soup and onions .. very disappointed glad I had some French bread to dip it myself. read more

I have been to Panera many times so I was excited to have something different from the local fare here in Utah. The first visit was opening week so of course they were out of a lot of food, regardless the salad my mom got and the sandwich I got were still great and loaded with what they did have. No problem, opening weeks can be crazy! Came a second time, early evening, ordered through drive thru a Caprese sandwich for myself and a steak and white cheddar for my mom. My moms sandwich was great. Mine however was missing.. the cheese.. so basically I paid $12 for bread and 4 slices of tomato. I decided to give them another try and went around 830 pm drive thru. Only one car in front of me. I told them about my other sandwich missing the cheese, they didn't care. Was in line, noticed that the girls were flirting with guy in car in front of me for 10 min. I thought maybe he was waiting on food.. nope he just drove away, I guess he already had his food. When I got up to the window I paid and then it seemed like they hadn't even started on my food.. took another 10 min. It was not busy inside and a lot of workers... got home and sandwich had hardly any chicken on it.. the three girls running the window had their phones out, playing with their hair. I hope they don't touch food. I think more training is in order before you let the kids to the wolves. read more

I have been waiting for a Panera to come to Utah. I've been to several all over the U.S. this is definitely a small one and gives off fast food vibes. The food is great. I love ordering on the app and just picking up the food. I wish it was a bigger cafe with the ambiance and atmosphere of other Paneras. I think any future locations should go back to the original design layout. We especially love the breakfast soufflé's. We also enjoyed the salads and sandwiches. My daughter loved the Mac and cheese in the bread bowl. read more

Horrible. Took over 30 minutes to get my order. My salad had barely anything in it. Sandwich was soggy. And I ordered chips and didn't get them. Maybe they should have taught their employees better training before opening. Embarrassing read more

The service was terrible. They got my order wrong and it was nearly impossible to correct it. How hard is it to make a sandwich? The soup I ordered tasted like it came from a can. very bland and tasteless. The sandwich was nothing to write home about. I compared it to a sandwich my little sister would have made me for me at home. Not impressed in the least. The Portion sizes were very small for the price. I'll not be going back there anytime soon. read more

Terrible service and underestimate long drive though time. Held hostage for over 90 minutes

Panera Bread in Herriman is the WORST! Both times I've tried to use the drive thru it's over a 30 min wait! They only tell you once you get to the speaker, so you are 100% stuck whether you order or not. The staff is not helpful either, we told them they need to put a sign BEFORE you get in line at the drive through and/or have people pull around so those who have opted not to wait so long have a choice. Absolutely horrible service & communication. Do not visit this establishment. They should prioritize the drive thru orders over the dining room but they don't. Obviously those in the drive thru don't have the same amount of time as the dining room guest or they would have gone inside. At least I had plenty of time sitting here in the drive thru to write this review. Fingers crossed I don't run out of gas! read more

Had to wait 20 minutes for the person in the drive thru to be dismissive and disrespectful then another 25 minutes to get my food which was cold. This was my first time here and will definitely be my last. read more

Wow! What a disappointment! The first time I tried Panera was on 5th Avenue in New York. I loved everything about the food and the experience. So, when I saw that we had our very own Panera moving into the Mountain View Village, I was so excited to try it! With 30 minutes to spare my wife and I decided to hit the drive-through before going to a movie in the same parking lot. We ended up spending nearly 18 minutes waiting in the drive-through line. We then drove across the parking lot to go to the movie and eat our dinner in the car. When we opened the bag there was no utensils. I ran back across the parking lot and found the restaurant full of staff with people standing in line being ignored, nobody working the front counter, and nobody there to help me get utensils so that I could get back to my evening. When I did get back to the car, we opened our dinner bag and found the most pathetic serving sizes, painfully cheap ingredients, questionably cooked chicken, a meager salad, and our drink (a "Sip") that was not only expensive, but was only 3/4 full and tasted like colored water. The only thing about the dinner that was good was the squash soup and bread. Everything else about the experience was the epitome of poor service, poor quality, poor value, and an overall poor experience. Needless to say, we missed the movie. Long story short, I will not be returning. read more
