The biggest issue was the flavor--or lack thereof. Everything we ordered felt flat and uninspired, and to make matters worse, the food was so cold and it was only a 5-minute drive from my house. It's disappointing because this used to be a reliable spot, but now it feels forgettable and overpriced for the quality you receive. There are too many other fresh options in Riverton now to settle for a cold, bland meal. This place is FANTASTIC! I'm not a vegetarian, but I am very veggie-forward in my meals so this place is my food love language. I got the Teri bowl and The Mister got the Mediterranean plate. They are both absolutely delicious. There are so many textures and flavors that each bite was delightful. One of the staff members came out to let me know that my bowl would take an extra few minutes because they were waiting for a component to finish cooking. I went here with one of my friends for her very late birthday dinner! I've never been here but I've seen this place at other locations around  & I was excited to try it. Honestly, obsessed! I loved it! It tasted so clean & fresh! I also didn't feel overly full after, which was amazing! I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl. I loved the falafel in this!!! The bowl itself was full of flavor. There was a lot going on in it like kale, hummus, carrots, cabbage, eggplant, raisins, etc etc etc. but it all went very well together! Every bowl comes with a little gluten free cheesebread ball & I haven't been able to think about anything else honestly. It was amazing! So cheesy, perfect texture. I would have never guessed these were gluten free but I'm obsessed! My friend ordered the peanut tofu bowl. She said the tofu was flavored really well & she loved the mango salsa & cabbage salad on this dish! All the flavors in this dish worked really well together. We also ordered the baked sweet potato bites. I'm not sure what seasonings they put on this but WOW! I like sweet potatoes in general but these are amazing even without the sauce! The jalapeno dressing was a little spicy, so I had to dip it in moderation. The food was mediocre at best and for $20 for one sandwich, I was expecting more. I split it with my husband and we got an additional sauce on the side, and both cups of sauce had MAYBE two teaspoons in each. And for $1.25+ for an extra side, I was expecting the cup to be at least half full. The steak on the sandwich was pretty fatty as well and again, for $20, there was not much to the sandwich. The staff was nice but it took around 25 minutes to get our food which was strange as it wasn't busy enough to warrant such a wait. The worst customer service EVER. 4 out of every 5 times I come here the wait is horrible, they mess up my order or they lose my order. They are apathetic here, never say sorry and never try to remedy anything. The food is good, except for the burnt cookie. They have a lot of people working here and they are always SO slow and never communicate well with each other. No one ever knows where my order is. Ciabatta Salmon | The bread was soft unlike some other rock hard ciabatta bread. The slaw was not bad. Salmon was on the firm side, it's seasoned well. Cheesebread | These were very chewy with little crunch on the outside. Not too cheesy, just enough. It's better eaten warm. Pineapple Ginger Juice | Dull, barely any ginger taste. Menu: A wide variety of salads. Vegan, Gluten-free and dairy-free available. Service: The sandwich came out extremely late, about 30 minutes. My friends were almost done eating. I passed by Aubergine Kitchen several times during my visits to Utah and was curious what it was. Much to my surprise it turned out to be a rather nice fast food Mediterranean restaurant with lots of great salad and sandwich selections. We got the Rio bowl, which had a base of rice, black beans, mixed greens, kale, grilled onions, tomatoes, grilled chicken, and avocados with jalapeño lime dressing. It was very filling and came with a nice mochi textured roll. I especially liked the jalapeño lime dressing! The Hot Steak Melt tasted really great. What stood out was the extra crispness of the pita bread. Food-wise, this would've been 4 stars, but due to the unorganized staff and extra long wait in getting the Hot Steak Melt, the most I could award was an overall 3-star rating. There was another customer in front of us who was patiently waiting for her food after we finished ours! And I finished the Rio bowl long before the steak melt was made! The staff did a great job in assembling the bowls because all of the ingredients were there. They were fast and efficient, since they just had to scoop the ingredients into the bowls. We usually dine outdoors here but today we decided to pick up curbside using the aubergine app. The app is thoughtfully designed and was easy to use and pay ahead. We placed our order about 11:50 am for ASAP pickup and we're provided an estimated curbside pick up time of 12:11 pm. We ordered a bowl, a side, a drink, and two grab and go desserts, all of which are pre made and ready to go. We made sure not to order anything that requires extra time to be grilled to order such as the fish or chicken bites that we have gotten before because of an engagement after lunch. The app said to let aubergine know when we arrived; however, after being parked for 10 minutes in the curbside spot and it being over 10 minutes past the estimated pickup time, the app would not let us check in as arrived because it said the food was still in step 1 of 4, i.e. still being prepared. Another couple in the vehicle beside us who had been parked in curbside pickup since before we parked finally put on their masks and went inside. We tried calling aubergine to let them know we had parked since the app wouldn't let us check in as arrived but no one answered the phone. The couple parked in curbside pickup came back to their car with a stapled shut bag of food so I decided to head indoors as well. At this point it was apparent that aubergine was understaffed for the lunch rush. The line was nearly to the drink fountains and it took several minutes to catch someone's attention to let them know we were picking up a prepaid curbside order. The person who got our food replied that it was probably sitting on the to go shelf. Upon getting back to our vehicle, we noticed the tag showed the order had been ready for some time and had just been sitting there getting cold. Not the best experience with curbside pickup to say the least. However, I'm still giving them 4 stars because ordering in person is always friendly and their food is still delicious even when it's supposed to be warm and it's not. Our thanks for out to the understaffed team today and we sincerely hope the scheduling manager is able to help provide the support this location needs to assist customers during the lunch rush and to support their curbside pickup since we were not the only people for whom that did not work out as it's supposed to today. read more
