I ordered a professional lunch for a business meeting through EZCater, and Panera was the selected vendor. I received a confirmation at 9:03 AM that the order would arrive at noon. At exactly 12:00 PM, I received... nothing. No food. No update. No call. No cancellation. Just radio silence from a brand that built its entire identity around soup and reliability. After I made the first panicked phone call, a chain of confusion and miscommunication unfolded. I was told to wait "just three more minutes" while they figured it out--as if I had the luxury of time while an entire meeting waited on an empty table and my professional credibility slowly caught fire. Spoiler: The food never came. I ended up sprinting across town with a back injury, triaging a failed lunch that Panera was paid in advance to provide. Meanwhile, another employee had to delay her lunch by an hour to cover for me at our front desk--because not only did this affect our meeting, it disrupted multiple people's schedules. And the best part? Not even so much as an apology. Just a refund, as if that was some kind of favor, rather than the bare minimum required by law when you take someone's money and provide absolutely nothing in return. To call this experience disappointing would be generous. To call it unprofessional would be accurate. To call it Panera's "faultless" would be laughable. I sincerely hope this location reviews its procedures, because unless ghosting your customers and tanking their workday is part of the business model now, something is deeply broken. Hopefully it was just a bad day for the 2 employees I had interactions with, and this isn't how their service is every day. Overall it was a pretty unpleasant experience for someone who goes to Panera about once a year. From the cashier rolling her eyes when I wasn't up to date on all the menu items/pick 2 options in a quick fashion, to the back of house to go employee throwing my bread bowls into a bag and tossing the bag at me as I was double checking my order ... pretty unpleasant. Food looks to be good and is hot, so that is a plus. Maybe do drive through or no contact pick up if you're looking to not feel like a complete inconvenience for ordering lunch. read more

Food was not fast but was good quality. Probably not the best choice if you have a shorter lunch time. While I was there, they closed inside dining and went to drive thru only because they didn't have enough staff. There were quite a few frustrated customers mostly frustrated due to longer than normal wait times. One person did call ahead and her food disappeared. She ended up getting a refund but it was decently messy. The manager was very involved and helpful, they just didn't have enough staff. The food was amazing I ordered off of the website and I came a bit to late for my food thru the drive thru. Some of food got a bit cold but I managed to come back home in time to reheat my food in the microwave for not to long. The first thing I tried was the bread bowl and Mac cheese it was really good. The mango lemonade was refreshing to drink and the Baja bowl gave tons of flavor and it was so great I might want to try it again one day. The 2 baguettes I got I saved for later and that goes for the sour bread bowl. Over all all the food was good. Let me just start by saying- I'm partly to blame here because I keep coming to this location expecting something to be different, hoping things will workout for once. So repeatedly coming here, that's on me. This location is closest to my house so sometimes I let the convenience of it overpower my common sense. Anyway... on to the review. 1. Not one time that I've come here have they ever gotten my order correct. You will sit in the drive thru for 30 minutes (no joke) getting the highest of hopes up only for them to be crushed when you finally get your food. I'm not exaggerating when I say every single time the order has been incorrect even despite me saying to the person "last time they got it wrong can you please make sure _______". I've tried the drive thru, I've tried going in, I've trouble mobile order/pickup- every time without fail it's wrong. 2. The food is terrible compared to any other Panera you'll go to. Like the difference in the caliber of the food between here and Greece is startling. Let me throw out an analogy to drive the point home... Panera Greece = NBA allstar game, East Ridge = 5 year old YMCA basketball camp. The difference in quality is THAT drastic. Pictures attached are of my most recent trip here... this was my chicken frontega sandwich or was supposed to be at least. If you've ever ordered this before you know this is notttt what it is supposed to look like. The sandwich was so completely soaked in chipotle Mayo it was all over the wrap- you and see it in the picture just everywhere. I ended up not being able to even eat it and corporate refunded the entire purchase, smoothie and all. 3. The staff doesn't seem to care about really anything to be honest with you, and I kind of get it. This location feels like it's run completely without any direction at all. Do I blame them for not giving a sh*t about food someone else is going to eat? Nope. This job probably isn't anyone's dream job or dream career. It's likely just paying the bills and it's still a pandemic so I get it- we're all burnt out. But if you're going to show up to do the job, you kind of have to do the job because as customers we're spending money we worked hard for too. I really feel like the lack of quality and issues here could be fixed if corporate or management took some initiative to figure out what's going on and provide guidance and training to correct it. Maybe even a pay bump for extra motivation so employees don't feel unappreciated- just thinking out loud here. In conclusion, I will never go back here again and I encourage everyone else to spend your money elsewhere. This is the second time in a row my delivery order is screwed up. Two days ago I ordered broccoli cheddar mac and cheese. I got plain Mac and cheese - it was awful. Today my drink wasn't delivered. The store offered me a voucher for a free drink, but I'm a member of the "sip club", my drinks are free anyway, so the voucher is meaningless. I ordered a half tuna sandwich, no tomato - but tomatoes are on it anyway. I asked for feta cheese and spicy pickles - but those are missing. I moved to the north part of the city last summer, close to Ridge Rd. There is a plethora of restaurants to order from, yet all these restaurants consistently get my orders wrong. Every. Single. Time. Something is missing or incorrect. Instructions are ignored. Doesn't anyone know how to read? When I order something, it's because I really want it. Not getting it is a huge disappointment and absolutely ruins the meal. One by one I'm eliminating the Ridge Rd restaurants. Once is a mistake - stuff happens. Twice is irresponsible. Placed a bakery order on a Friday for a Tuesday, a little confusion ensued about where the order forms were. When I came to pick them up they had lost power and were behind in making and packaging orders. Kudos to me for reminding them to cut the bagels cause it almost didn't happen. The manager was kind enough to offer me a tea or coffee while I waited. But, the cistern of water was evidently used for coffee previously cause it was discolored and my tea tasted bitter like coffee. read more

Sometimes I get a little annoyed if I request extra chicken on my salad and they don't do it, I will have to go back to the store but besides that everything is great. Or the bread that comes with the salad is extremely hard, I will just toss it in the trash. But, the Caesar salad is fresh, the chicken is delicious, the broccoli soup is delicious and their cookies are great as well. Came here to Panera bread for lunch. The total cost was $33. I had a cup of autumn squash soup, half a sandwich of bacon, turkey, bravo, and a soda. My wife had a cup of turkey chili and half a sandwich of BLT with chips. I enjoyed my autumn squash soup, it was very good and I had a great sandwich. Likewise, my wife enjoyed her turkey, chili and BLT sandwich. There were a few customers when we ate. It's an older Panera bread, but the place was clean and the customer service was good. My friend and I went there last night and we were the only people in the drive thru. They were nice taking our order however our sandwiches were so sloppy. I was in the drive thru line and the time was 6:54, when I go place my order, the voice on the speaker said sorry we are closed! I was stuck in the line because there was a car behind me so I had to wait for 20 minutes before I was even able to get out the line, anyways, they allowed the car behind me to order and the girl could say to me was that she was sorry! Stopped in here on the way home and ordered the asian sesame chicken salad for dinner. The food was prepared quickly and I headed home. At this location they have a lot of people of color working and they could care less about customer service. If you've been there before and didn't leave a tip they will not take your order when you walk in. They will wander around and talk to their friends and then finally get around to you. Stupid to hire employees like that when they're selling a high value product. Plus the give a tip popup on the register is stupid. This is my... if u will... "home" Panera.. it's the closest to me so the one I go to most frequently. I've ordered at the counter and eaten in and the only problem I've encountered doing that is them being out of the soba noodle bowl and asking if the lentil bowl would be ok as a substitute. I was disappointed but not turned off. I frequently order online... using the app.. and pick it up. Only twice has my order not been ready when I got there and it's always been right. I never have had to wait long even when it wasn't up when I arrive. This option for me is a godsend, frankly, and I appreciate not having to deal with people, grabbing my order (having already paid) and getting a correct order. The food is decent, apparently "clean" and I like getting the rewards using my app and card when I purchase something. Haven't had any problems with staff... seems to be clean enough and mostly well stocked. As a lazy single person who doesn't want to eat junk food all the time, this will continue to be a go-to for me. read more

Just ordered for curbside pickup. They forgot the pecan braid and the bagel, though the bagel was checked off on the receipt. They also ran out of bread bowls but did not say this online so they just gave me a piece of bread instead, which is much less food. Very disappointing, called the manager and she said she could not refund my card for the forgotten items, and could only send us some coupons in the mail. Yikes read more

I seem to have horrible luck at all Panera's or they just don't train their employees well. Came here for the first time for lunch. I used the online ordering rapid pick up. I arrived a couple mins early and it was "ready" so that appeared good. However there was no employee to check the order or hand it out/place in the cubical like the other Panera's have. I checked to make sure everything was there and returned to my office only to find errors. I had ordered without tomatoes... there was tomatoes, double checked my receipt and I definitely ordered it the way I wanted, without tomatoes. Took them off, not a big deal to me I'm not allergic but it's not like they know that. I had also asked for extra meat on the sandwich.... they put it in a soup bowl, why wouldn't they just put it on the sandwich - all the other Panera's do that. Then half way through the sandwich there is something hard, O! It's a bone. Needless to say I have no desire to come back here. read more

Very disappointing. We used the self serve kiosk and it took my payment but never registered the order. Apparently management knew of the issue because it happened to other customers as well. During my visit yesterday, the order process went fine, however, as I waited, I used the restroom. An employee was in there fixing her hair and complaining about her employer. She kept saying she didn't want to go on break because they "don't do anything anyway at that location" and it's so "boring and annoying to work there". Not exactly their next website tag line I hope. There were 3 people in the restaurant, and I was the only one waiting for an order. I watched them make my sandwiches. The one girl had the bread laid out, and had her cell phone in her gloved hand, texting. While I'm sure that phone had been thoroughly sanitized, that is most certainly a health code violation. She never changed out her gloves. When I addressed the manager, a trainer told me she had brought that up several times to no avail. The store manager took over, but allowed this employee to continue after, with the phone still prominent on the shelves above the food. I called corporate and they will "pass it along" which is useless. Health department notified. read more
