I'm sharing this review after giving it some time, but the experience still stands out for the wrong reasons. After eating part of my breakfast sandwich, I found a hair inside the food (photo attached). I brought it to the staff's attention and was offered a remake. However, once something like that happens, it's difficult to feel comfortable accepting another item prepared in the same environment. In addition to the food issue, the overall cleanliness of the restaurant was concerning. The floors were sticky, the restrooms appeared poorly maintained, and the drink station area did not look clean. These details matter, especially in a food establishment. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements to sanitation and food handling practices. read more

As a family we have visited this location numerous times. Unfortunately, it has gone downhill in numerous ways. It desperate need of a remodel. It looks and feels dirty. On my last visit i ordered a half salad, you should have seen my face when it arrived. It would have fit into a teacup. it was ridiculously small. Went in for coffee and maybe a danish.. waited at register for 15 mins. Nobody..we called out for anyone. Nobody came..we walked to side but the employees were standing around talking.. no reply.. there was another lady at register baked goods as well. Went for lunch only to find long hair in my salad and under my sandwich. When I brought my food back to the counter, another woman was having issues with her food as well. She had taken a bite out of her chicken sandwich to discover string (the kind used to tie the legs of a rotisserie chicken). Jan 14, 2019 updated review: came in today with wife at 2:30. I ordered the roasted Turkey and avocado BLT which is what I normally have, and every time i get it it comes with ciabatta bread, today it came with wheat bread. I could have complained but i was hungry so I ate it, and it was not good; it tasted ok, but not even as good as an Arbys market fresh sandwich, and not even half the size, and more expensive... My wife got the onion soup bread bowl, which was just warm, really needs to be hotter. We also got an extra side item, someone's hair, which we definitely didn't order (see attached pic). Had to lower to 1 star because of the hair. I hate that they have gone downhill because I used to eat here once every couple weeks, but not anymore. (Previous review from first visit) :First time ever at a Panera Bread, and I wasn't let down. I tried the turkey and avocado BLT on chiabatta bread and it was delicious. Perfect amount of bacon, Turkey and they didn't skimp on the avocados like many places do. One of the side choices was an apple which I chose, and they even sliced it up for me. For dessert I got the blueberry scone, also delicious, which btw came free with my meal. Had a nice cold Pellogrino water to drink. Prices are a little high which is why I didn't give it a 5 star, even though I understand since everything is organic that's probably why. This Panera is struggling... went in on a weekday at 8AM to study and get a bagel. Only three baskets of bagels were on the rack. A few stands of pastries out. Only one worker behind the counter. no ice in drink machine, no straws put out. Just seems dirty in there. Crackhead running around inside and outside. I got a bagel to go (that the super nice employee had to get straight off the baking rack?? She seemed very stressed and basically working alone... I guess somebody didn't show up to work that day) safe to say I took my bagel and ice less DP to go. Food was just so-so. We have been here a few times now on Sundays at around 12pm. Every time they are out of all bagels and baked goods. I guess we kept hoping it would be different this time, but they are out of everything again. What I don't understand, is why don't they plan accordingly? My wife loves the soup and salads here. My son likes the bagels. $2.60 for a bagel and cream cheese seems high to me. I get a bacon (2 whole pieces of crispy) egg and cheese on asiago bagel with coffee at a different restaurant in Marietta for $4.50. $8.69 for a BLT on wheat with avocado!!! The Panera in Rome, GA is wonderful. We have been in Rome a week as we had to evacuate from our home in south Florida before Irma. Everyone has been so kind and helpful. We go to many Panera's and this is one of the best - quick order, shorter prep time for order than most Paneras, staff constantly working to keep things clean. I have never been to Panera Bread which I guess is kind of weird since they are everywhere. But for lack of better options I ended up here (after, curiously, having a catered lunch from Panera earlier in the day). The menu is basic - sandwiches, soups, salads, bread, pastries. I ordered a salad - it was chicken with dried cherries, pears, greens, and bleu cheese (?Maybe, I can't remember now) with cherry vinaigrette. It was delicious - for a salad I was really pleased. Earlier in the day I had half of a roast beef sandwich that was also delicious. Not to mention the huge oatmeal raisin cookie I polished off. Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on what you eat, they have the calories for each item listed right beside it on the menu. This place use to to be really good. If you NOW want an over crowded and poorly staffed location please come here. They will not give you breakfast at 10:35 even if you stand in line out the door for 5 minutes. They run out of coffee due to orders going out and can't make but only so much at a time. Whoever was working on this day around 2:00pm, were rockstars! The girl who took our order was pleasant and patient, and the guy on the sandwich line was fantastic, cheerful, and kind. Normal Panera Bread but in a city that has varying levels of food quality and quickness of service I was happy to be able to go to Panera and get our food relatively quickly! This Panera is the filthiest Panera I've ever been too. after waiting fifteen minutes for a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup and chicken salad sandwich we have treated awfully. A man named Will talked to us because we had a complaint (are chicken salad was soaked and looked as if it was dropped on the ground he proceeded to give us an awful fake line while all the time he thought he was charming. we will never eat here again and make sure to spread the words to our friends. This place has great food and great customer service!!! I ordered an early lunch today, went home, dropped food off to my husband and went right on back to work. Hours later, I got my usual sweet craving and remembered I ordered a bag of petite cookies from Panera. I asked my husband if the cookies were in the bag and he said they weren't there. I instantly called Panera to see what needed to be done and got a chance to speak with Amanda! She was so polite and understanding! This location is pathetic. I've been to MANY Panera Breads all over the country and I left this location with a bad taste in my mouth. My first problem here is the extremely terrible layout of the store. The drink station is right in front the pick up counter which makes either getting your food or drink a daunting task when it's lunch rush. Hello... high traffic? - Cashiers- They act like robots with no facial expressions or social skills. Definitely not a good thing considering that they are setting up our experience. Why in the world would you continue having you cashiers leave their positions to back the barista drinks? Look I understand "multi tasking" to "cut back" on labor, but honestly? It's an inconveniences to the customer when they not only have to wait on the person in front of them, but for there person's drink to me made as well. - The food production line was extremely unorganized. Everyone was bouncing all around. The manager was instructing everyone to do so. Why not keep a person at their station? Maybe they could become proficient at their station if they had the opportunity TO stay at their spot. They have pagers in which they hand out but don't use. Don't ask me why.... The food we received was far from what we paid. Portions were inconsistent and wasn't put together in an caring way. The line was overall friendly whenever I had a problem with my order. - As stated before the store layout is awful. Every now and then I would an employee offer to get my try and even offered to help out with anything else I needed. That's the only reason why my review is getting one extra star. - Big Problems I saw: The manager at this location... terrible. When sitting down with my wife, we saw a sinking ship. The cashiers were flooded with customers, the line was disoriented with numerous orders, and the bus boys were up to their necks with clearing tables. Clean and not too crowded for a weekday lunch hour but I got the regular size chicken hummus salad with no onion and it's probably the poorest looking salad I've see from a Panera. I'm on the road a lot and use Panera restaurants to cater but I was disappointed with this one. They messed up my order the first time although they fixed it immediately after telling them (no onions) but the amount spinach leaves was that of a side salad. The tomatoes were overly ripe and soggy and for an $8 salad I expect more quality ingredients. read more

When this Panera opened, I wasn't very impressed with the staff, and something about this location seemed sub-par to the numerous other ones I've visited. I'm happy to say I think this has changed. Everyone here is really friendly, and I always love the food, especially the orchard harvest chicken salad and the sierra turkey sandwich. I recently tried a black cherry smoothie, too. It was great. Panera is a fun express cafe with delicious food and a nice atmosphere. The Pick 2 Menu is one of the more affordable options on a somewhat expensive lunch menu. The food is very good especially their Famous Mac 'n Cheese. Their dinner rolls come with the meal and are also really good. You can't go wrong with most of the menu. read more

This is one of the worst Panera locations I've ever been in. First off, Panera itself is kind of an over-priced, underwhelming experience, even on a good day. However, this particular location is frequently dirty appearing, and is almost always staffed by sloppy, slack-jawed teenagers, often carrying on about their high school drama while they should be paying attention to customers. It's not quite as insulting to hand over $10 for a weak, tiny sandwich or soggy salad when the restaurant itself appears clean and organized, but I've had one too many bad experiences at this Panera in particular to go back any time soon. read more
