Impressed and pleased by my experience here. The facility seems new; the decor is nice, with multiple rooms accommodating lots of tables. One of the rooms has a large stylish fireplace. Food tastes good. Standard Olive Garden fare, but that's fine by me. Good portion sizes, tasty. Service was outstanding. Kristie (sp?) was our server, and I'd recommend her. Personable, friendly. Nailed our orders, including special accommodations and requests. Kept our drinks filled, same with the bread sticks. She's good at her job. Very worthwhile visit and would recommend. read more

Went out for what I expected to be a normal date night because my girl was craving their cheescake. Summer was our server, and she (along with the rest of the staff) took special care of us because, little did i know, they helped my girl propose to me with the ring coming out on top of the cheesecake!!! Took my family of 6 spent $200. Not only was the food bland but one family member didn't even get to eat with everyone because their food took another 15 mins. Everyone else finished eating and his meal still had not arrived to the table when the waitress came by so We asked to have it in the to go box and she rolled her eyes and walked away. She was just standing up at the front talking other servers the whole time we were there "waiting" for bread for 20 mins and still waiting for one entree. We were in town for the football classic and my little one wanted Olive Garden for dinner. We were greeted right away and seated. Our server came over immediately so everything was going pretty good. We ordered our food and our daughter was upset because the scampi she ordered had 0 flavor and she was really hungry. I ordered the lasagne that had a lot of flavor but the build was a huge clump of cheese, a ton of sauce and minimal noodle. This is becoming a thing, and not just with Olive Garden. Only those restaurants that truly connect with the fact that people don't want to spend money on bad service or bad food will survive. Do better Olive Garden!! read more

Food is pricey, it's a lot of teen employees there, they don't know what their doing, was in the middle of eating my salad and the server just took it away from me as i was eating as if i was done. Floors and walls were dirty. Soup was not hot. Servers, in general, wore dirty aprons. Chicken Parmesan was rubbery and tasteless, pasta was overcooked with weak sauce. However, Lasagna was good. read more

My family and I went to this establishment on Sunday 4/23. It was not the best. We were sat at the "throw-away" table. The food is always good and consistent. However our server, an older lady, seemed like she wasn't happy to serve us. At first I thought she was having a bad day. But soon realized it was something different. Picture this a very diverse family. I can understand if you don't like diversity but for you to make it disgustingly obvious was insane. I have never let racism hurt my feelings, but today...I couldn't hold back my hurt and tears. We spoke with the manager, Mr. Henry, and he was so considerate and kind. He helped us a lot through this situation. That's why I've given this review 3 stars. If Mr. Henry wasn't there to help us navigate through this situation, I may never return. Customer service was awful. I called for help with an online order and was met with a very rude "why would you want to order that?". All we wanted was Alfredo sauce on the side... The girl was extremely unhelpful and didn't help us with our order whatsoever, then rushed off the phone. In fairness to Olive Garden, I am updating my review and adding a "star". As a response to my review, they reached out to me to do what they could to make things right. Without disclosing all of the details, they have done everything possible in a very prompt manner. I have been busy, so I am a bit late with the update. I was most impressed with their stated plan to address each one of the issues I experienced with the location's management and staff. It truly demonstrated to me the desire of the company to ensure a pleasant experience for their guests. I will definitely give the Olive Garden chain a try at another location soon. Perhaps another location will be a true representation of their brand while they address the issues at the Rome location. read more

Came into town last night, for the Berry half marathon, and the group of 6 was wanting to carb load before the race. We put our names on a call ahead list - which you can do quickly and easily on their website...in fact, you HAVE to do it online rather than on the phone. There were several groups of people waiting for a table, and this was about 8:15 on a Friday night. I think my son, who was the first there, just had to wait maybe 5 minutes before being seated. Once seated, it was a little slow getting the order in, and receiving our drinks, salad, and bread, but service picked up as we went along. The booth was a bit tight for 6, and we struggled at times to fit all the plates and other dishes on the table. I think everyone enjoyed their meals...they were hot, well cooked, and all the orders were correct. Everyone cleaned their plates! I loved my scampi (sans asparagus and tomatoes) - even the shrimp in it was great. Granted, four eating with us were college kids, and no doubt they were just excited to have a nicer meal than their norm. Hehe But, all in all, it was a positive dining experience. read more

They are out of everything.. no coke, no Dr Pepper.. then I asked for a sprite to drink; the waitress turned around with an attitude and brought me a flat sprite, it had no fizz whatsoever and a weird taste to it. Waitress said they've been out of a lot of stuff for the past 3-4 weeks. I advised her to call Coca-Cola or have the manager call and order more products or have a tech coming to look at the machine. I haven't been to Olive Garden in some time. I have to say the experience was a pleasant surprise! My party of six all had different pasta dishes and all were enjoyed. I had the Zuppa Toscana w/ salad and breadsticks. All you can eat for $9.99, and it was sooooo delicious! Can't remember our waiters name, but he was very attentive, jovial. and accommodating. Love Olive Garden. Had been to this one before several times. 09/06/2016 I met my sister from Gadsden, AL there. I drove from Acworth, GA. We both were dying to eat at Olive Garden, and hang out because we had not seen each other for a while. Food was awesome, as always. My sister had endless soup and salad. Taste was good, but Server, Crystal T. brought the second plate of soup without asking, and bye the time my sister got to the second plate, the soup was cold. I loved my new thing from the lunch menu, chicken sandwich. I did not want fries, so the server suggested zucchini sprinkled with cheese, and a very spicy pesto on the side. This was great, and I really appreciated that, because the pesto sauce was HOT. Loved my salad too. So everything was great, but it was time for the server to go home. That's why my sister had cold soup. We were planning to have a dessert, but it was not suggested. We would have liked to sit little longer and enjoy coffee and dessert, therefore we went elsewhere to enjoy coffee and dessert. Server was friendly, however she lost on tips by rushing us. The Olive Garden is my youngest child's favorite place to eat here in Rome! Cheese is one of my favorites but the OG seems to be very heavy on the cheese sauces and I always ask for light sauce on my meals. The waiters are super friendly and professional! The hostess asked us if we would prefer a booth or a table. I replied that we (my girlfriend and I) would like a booth. She then paused, and asked "Would a table be acceptable, if there are no booths?" I replied, "Yes it would, but ideally if possible we would prefer a booth." The hostess then escorts us past multiple booths and to a table in the middle of the restaurant. It is approximately 1:00 p.m. and there is only two other customers in the entire restaurant. Every booth but two (the one's with the customers) are available and every table is free. The hostess then rudely walks away with a smirk on her face, leaving us at a table in the middle of the restaurant where the waiters are forced to walk by us. At the insistence of my girlfriend, we stayed and ate. I was slightly curious myself to know if the other booths were reserved or something, but nobody else came into the restaurant throughout our entire meal. I was very upset, but didn't take it out on our waiter (it wasn't his fault the hostess was terrible). As far as the food goes. I ordered some lasagna. I don't have a problem with the quality, as the lasagna was good. However, after waiting 15 minutes to eat, the lasagna could of been eaten in two bites. Granted, the two bites were delicious, but far from filling. One small appetizer, one meal for my girlfriend, and one small piece of lasagna cost about $50 without tip. Quality of food was good, there just wasn't enough of it to justify the price, and coupled with the terrible hostess experience I will not be revisiting this place. This my 2 cents. read more

I am usually not an avid fan of chain restaurants. However, the Rome Olive Garden has always treated us with great service. The food is always good, and I have never had bad service. I recommend the baked ziti or the chicken scampi. You receive A LOT of food for what you order, but they send you home with your leftovers and little chocolate mints. My mom loves Olive Garden, so we go here frequently, ordering takeout if not dining in. She orders the pints of the sauces to take home to use with her own pasta. read more

Staying in Rome for quite awhile for work and being out of town and staying in a hotel means my options for meals are limited so that's what makes eating out and receiving bad food even more disappointing. I ordered the create your own pasta to go, angel hair with meat sauce to be exact. The pasta was dreadful, it was room temp and so dry and bunched together like a brick it was near inedible. The meat sauce itself was just miserable, bland, and tasteless. It would probably help the pasta if they weren't going cheap on the sauce portion. I mean 3/4 of the pasta can't even be eaten because it's basically al dente with no sauce. On to the salad, the pieces of lettuce were the size fit for a giant. My god, how hard is it to chop lettuce? Or is it shipped in bags and then dished out? Never the less, truly disappointing dinner... read more

It's your typical Olive Garden. Italian food with good service. I always get alfredo on the make your own pasta deal. It's always fresh and comes out hot. I have had some issues service in the past but the general manager took care of me like I was family. I've had a few friends who worked here and they are amazing when we ask to sit in their section. Visit this place only 1-2 times per year. Always had decent service and great food. However last night we visited and had a young man named Garren as our server. The service was SPOT on. This very young man treated our family like kings never got low on drinks and was on point on every thing he did. I spoke to his manager I think good work deserves recognition ! Our family Came in for lunch before heading to the hospital to meet a new grandchild and got sat with a young lady whose name escapes me, not that it matters as we hardly saw her, we had to go ask the hostess where our server was after she disappeared before even letting us order and the hostess generously came and got our order and refilled our drinks only then for our server to finally reappear. The same hostess ended up bringing out a salad for us and refilling our drinks 2 more times. I believe her name was Tammy? We tried to tip her and she stated she wasn't a server that day and couldn't accept it. We thankfully DID make it on time to meet our new grandson thanks to her going out of her way for us and this 4 is definitely for her! We hope to see her again when we return! read more
