This is one of our favorite places to get a casual meal. They have a good variety of menu choices and they add new items regularly. My wife's favorite is the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad. At 41 years old, I'm at the early stage of curmudgeon training. Things are starting to bother me. Coins into the palm first, with a bernal rounding up to the next whole dollar. 2. Counting back the bills-as-change, adding up to the total amount of cash originally given. It's easy. And it helps ME put change into the necessary places since I can actually hold the coins in my palm and the bills with my finger tips. When you put the coins on top of the bills it is a mess. Normally, this is my favorite place to grab lunch. They are usually pretty busy around lunch time. Ordered a turkey cranberry flatbread and caesar salad. If I could give 0 stars I would. Just had the worse experience to date. Cashier was lifeless with no personality, you could tell she absolutely hated her life or didn't want to be there. Manager was just walking back and forth trying to act like he was busy when 5 of his employees were behind the counter gossiping. 3 people got their food before my family and I. Went to the counter to ask what happened and they told us the grilled cheese was burnt and they had to remake it. Our "bread bowls" were in definitely not in bread bowls lol. I visit this store at least 3 times a week. The customer service has been nothing less than very attentive, welcoming, and pleasant. Their app is horrible, if it ever works. It doesn't let me select a location to continue on and order. So, I never have been able to use it to place an order. When I go in service is lacking. I didn't know how the display board of orders works and the employee was very rude when I asked why I didn't see my order. She was giving other employees directions, so i think she was a manager. During COVID they have to get your drinks for you, but they didn't tell me that and when I asked about my drink they were very rude. read more

This used to b my favorite Panera Bread out of the two in Natomas, for dining in. However, before today I hadn't dined in for a couple of years I was so disappointed today. This Panera needs a good cleaning. The floors, booths and condiment and drink area in disgustingly dirty, filthy and if this continues will be a grade D before long. The tile out front by the fountain drinks hasn't been mopped w/ some real soap n water, it seems like for a long time. The area behind the food prep that you see as you go to the bathroom is beyond disgusting. The booth we sat in, we were compelled to wipe the seat down, but the ridge area next to the walls had every crumb in food particles u could name in it. I dare not go to the bathroom, I just held it and waited till I got home. Unfortunately management is doing a good job of holding their employees accountable for cleaning....Gosh knows when the last time the carpet has been clean? Now for the salad Southwest we had no chicken in ours at all! There used to be little corn bread croutons, which I guess aren't available any more. I'll keep ordering and taking out. read more

Their business hours don't matter. I ordered a rapid pickup through the app at 8:53 pm when they closed at 9:00 pm. I know I was cutting it close but they were supposed to still be open. I arrived at the restaurant at 8:57 pm in plenty of time as they texted me my food was ready as I approached their door. However, the doors were locked. I tried the exit door and it was also locked. I waited by the doors as my food was already paid for or else I would have taken my business somewhere else. An employee finally approached the door with my food and proceeded to tell me that I shouldn't have been allowed to order as they were closed. I then showed the employee that my smart phone had the time as 8:59 pm and they shouldn't be closed already. There is absolutely no customer service here at all. If they wouldn't have been so rude, I would have even apologized for cutting the time close. I will stay away from this location in the future. read more

So I just received my delivery order from Panara N. Freeway location. I tipped the driver Yuliya a little more than I might normally. I live behind gates and am recovering from a hip injury so I put on my order "The gate is closed but unlocked so can the driver please open the gate and bring my order to the door". She called and said she's here but the gate is locked. I told her that it's unlocked and I asked that the driver open it and bring it to the door. She called me back and said it's locked, I said it's not but just leave it and I will go out and get. So frustrating. Now to the order, I will never order any soup from here again. I paid $7.19 plus tax for a small container of what was 90% broth. Very little chicken, carrots, celery or noodles. Pictures below. I also ordered the Fiji apple salad and called to ask for the apples to be on the side so they don't get soggy. Well I guess that they couldn't even remember that. I picked the apple chips off myself. When I took the salad out of the bag, the bottom was really warm because the idiots put it on top of the hot soup. Makes no sense. I go to Panera bread almost every morning for they regular frozen lemonade when my order got ready the staff in the back decided to give me what she wants I'm not sure her name but she was a chunky Caucasian lady with a bun flipped in her hair. I've tried to stay away from reviewing Chains but I'm so in love with this place, I can't pass a good review for it! Panera Bread is mostly known for their Sandwiches, Salads, and Soups, but they also sell breads and desserts that are delicious! Everything on their menu has a calorie count next to it, for those wary of their calories. Each location is similar to the other but vary slightly, all very cozy with a nice "living room with a fire place" feel to it. Service has been consistent everywhere I've been, as well as the quality of food. Consistency is good! Top it off with drinks, coffees, and free wifi, I find myself studying at Panera Bread a lot! For lunch, I typically order the popular Soup/Salad Combo for $7 and it comes with bread, chips, or an apple. I love their Tuna Salad sandwich and Creamy Tomato Soup in a bread bowl, it's literally to die for! I also love many of their salads but I won't waste your time listing them, just go and check it out for yourself! Also, if you run into me, say Hi! I will say it again, I don't do chains! But, when you work in Natomas (land of the chains), and need a VERY quick lunch- there are sacrifices one must make. However, Panera makes the sacrifice a little less sufferable. Their website offers online ordering, and they will have your food ready for you and sitting in a cubby by the register. Because you've already paid online, you can just walk up, grab your bag, and go. This is extremely convenient when you need to get a bite to eat but still have to get your Target fix in. All within 30 minutes, might I add. More importantly, their broccoli cheese soup is off the chains. Yes, I said off the chains. Yes, that was a cheesy pun. Was that just a pun within a pun? I came here with my boys for lunch after getting his haircut down the street at Hair Gone Wild. I like Panera, and I like the way that this one is set up. When we walked inside, I was the 4th person in line. There were 4 registers open and then a worker saw the line was starting to grow and started taking orders on the register on the other side of the bakery case. That's always nice to see because you know that they want to keep the line moving! Here, they don't bring the food to you. The locations I frequent closer to home (Vacaville & Fairfield), they bring the food to you. This one, you still get a little coaster, but it alerts you when your order is ready and you go pick it up. I don't mind getting up to get my food at all! The place was clean, lots of seating, but there were a lot of tables for two so it took a bit for my son and I (and a baby in a carseat) to find a table that we could sit and eat at. I'll definitely come back to eat here with my son again since he loves this place so much. :) read more

Probably a sad, yet true story this was probably only my third time ever I have eaten at a Panera. So I was in a training class and they had Panera provide us with some box lunches. DAAAAMMMNNN! Good turkey sandwich, I think they called it the Sierra Turkey. The bread had some light cheese melted into the bread which can NEVER be a bad thing, mayo, onions, dark green lettuce and beautiful turkey. BIG sandwich too, I was happy. Just made a quick stop here to pick up some lunch and run some errands. They were friendly and surprisingly very fast with my order for it being lunch time. I ordered their classic café salad which is romaine, field greens, cucumber & tomato with balsamic vinaigrette. I added some chicken for $1.79 more. Very good! I've had various other salads, soups and sandwiches which have all been good and fresh. I love, love their baked potato soup. The bakery is also good and my dad swears by their cinnamon crunch bagels. They can be a bit on the pricey side as I also had an ice tea with my salad and it came up to $9 bucks. read more

I will admit, Panera makes my heart go pitter-patter! This has been one of our go-to stops when traveling ever since my lil sis introduced us to it years ago. The variety, the freshness, and the cleanliness are just a few of the reasons we usually stop in. The sweet treats and mac and cheese are definitely two of the top reasons to stop in here. This last visit was in the evening before our trek back over the hill towards home. I did the take two for my meal. I had the fuji apple chicken salad and the mac and cheese. I love being able to chose two options from this selection: a cup of soup, half sandwich, half Salad, or one flatbread. This combo is one of my favorites. The salad is so fresh and crunchy with just the right amount of dressing to not overwhelm the field greens. The mac and cheese is always shoveled into my mouth via the baguette you get with the meal. I like to eat my carbs using other carbs to transport the goodness into my mouth. This mac and cheese is delicious and incredibly creamy. I love it! The cashier this evening was very polite and helpful which I always appreciate. The restrooms were nice and clean, I appreciate this aspect too. A quick stop for some quick food before hopping back into the car completes our quick trip to Sacramento. read more

I was craving for something good for breakfast before work and this place happens to open at 6AM so I decided to leave early so I could stop by and checked it out. There were so many good pastries out so it was hard for me to choose which one I want so I just order myself a regular bagel toasted up with raspberry cream cheese and an orange juice. I also got a asiago bagel sandwich since the picture made it looks so good. Unfortunately, pictures do deceive and the bagel sandwich turned out really cheesy and bland. I ended up throwing it all away after 2 bites. The bagel wasn't even all that..I could've got better at Noah's bagel and also cheaper. I don't think I'll be coming back here anytime soon. read more

The short: Stopped in for the ever safe sandwich and soup. It's a chain so basically always the same across the board. The long: While in the area and in need of lunch we stopped in for a quick bit to eat. These chains are pretty much all the same with the exception that the service at each varies. This one is fine and just that. There is nothing that stands out or would make me go out of my way to come here. I think the ONLY upside to this particular location is that they seem to keep arugula in stock. The downside is because this place is in a shopping area you get a lot of soccer moms and kids inside and the children are screaming and running wild. It was chilly outside and we were fighting the crowds while Christmas shopping. We wanted a place that was casual but cozy. Panera Bread is the perfect place to eat on a cold winters day. The restaurant has an inviting feel, with lots of booths and tables to tuck into, and with cozy fireplaces to sit near. I avoided the pastry case which is always so tempting. The delicious shortbread cookies were calling my name. I had to ignore them and walk away! I ordered the Thai Crunch salad and Cream of Chicken and Rice soup (an unlikely pair, I know). The soup was warm, thick, and delicious with large chunks of chicken and lots of wild rice! The salad had a tang to the dressing that I couldn't put my finger on. It wasn't my favorite but I made due. It was the soup that was exactly what I needed! A clean location with friendly customer service and a great selection of delicious goodies to choose from. No Bueno! I placed an order of a bakers pack this morning at 7 !! I come by after work to pick up my bagels and they told me there's only THREE, yes 3 bagels left. If I knew they wouldn't pack MY bagels and pass it out to other people I wouldn't waste my time!! At least CALL me and TELL me my bagels are gone so I don't have WASTE my time. Thanks for nothing.
