I would like to give this 5 star review to Jonathan. When me and my spouse were ordering he was able to tell me which of the meals I inquired about had nuts, as I have an allergy. He then said he would flag my order so the team members know I have an allergy, thus they would change gloves after making my spouses meal who did order something that contained nuts. Since there's a Panera near our house I don't frequent this spot all that much. It's located in the same parking lot as Panda Express and Old Navy and Ulta (near Target). This one is a little smaller than the one off of East Commerce and Del Paso Road near Safeway. They have the little kiosks near the line for ordering at the counter if that's the way you want to order your food. The last few times that I came here, the workers weren't all that friendly or inviting/welcoming. I was basically just another customer to them. No small talk, no hi or by, or enjoy your meal or have a nice day. I've had no interaction with the workers. I ordered my items through the kiosks and then when I get my text that my order is ready at the pick up counter, then I go and pick it up. Luckily I'm nice and I check that the order belongs to me and not someone else. The workers not once paid attention to who was picking up what order. No once was I asked to see my receipt or order. I picked up my items and walked to my table. I even ordered something else through my phone because my husband wanted something to snack on and drink and so I ordered it. The same thing happened. I waited for my text to let me know that my order was ready and I picked it up at the counter, making sure that my order was actually mine. Not once did the workers look up at me or ask me about my order or make sure that my order belonged to me. I think they need to work on this lack of interaction or simple security to ensuring that orders are properly distributed to the people that it belongs to and not someone else. I get it though. We are in a pandemic and trying to find good workers is hard/difficult but seriously, why not re-train the current workers you have to be a little bit friendlier and a little bit more aware of their surroundings/customers to ensure better security for their orders. I don't know if it's a problem with the food getting swiped but it's always a nice thing to make sure that the customer gets their order and doesn't have to wait longer because their order went missing. Just a few things to think about. Otherwise, parking is simple and easy and the food is always good and hot, ready to go and so are the drinks. read more

I hadn't been to a Panera in a long time and my friend suggested to come here so we could have lunch and he could do some reading. You can tell that they have revamped their menu. This location is really big with lots of seating. My friend tried the Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich and I got the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt. Mine was mostly bread with very little chicken on it. His sandwich was much better but the only problem is that the bread was falling apart as he ate it, so it gets pretty messy. Their baked goods counter looked delicious. We ended up getting a Cinnamon Crunch Scone to share and it was by far the best scone I've ever had. But mostly, I liked the relaxed atmosphere here. It's a place where you can meet up for a quick lunch/dinner or you can stay for awhile and read/study, etc. It's a nice break from Starbucks and they have a huge variety of food items to choose from. read more

Very disappointed and gave me food poisoning. I don't eat out much but when I do it's still a healthy place. My friend wanted to come here yesterday and man... I'm paying for it today. First: facility is dirty especially the restroom. Floors in the main dining area are gross and barely tables were wiped Second: workers didn't seem to care for customer service and watch as you're on the tip screen to see if you tipped. Last: overpriced cafeteria food that gives you the runs and vomiting. I wish I wasn't going through this today cuz it's painful and I can't bend over without the fear of everything coming out. WTF! I placed my order on the Panera app for pick up at 2:47pm. I arrived at 2:50pm and when I went to grab my food the staff said it would be another 15 mins. It ended up being an HOUR!!! In addition to the absurd wait time, my bowl came only half full of what I ordered. I ordered a Baja bowl which was tasty but it was only 1/2 portion when I ordered a full portion. I have been ordering Panera for years and will never order from them again. Last Wednesday I ordered a Napa chicken salad sandwich as I usually do. Only this time things went horribly wrong. I took a bite and it just didn't taste the same. I took about 4 more bites from different sides of the sandwich but it just wasn't right. Within about an hour I was hugging the toilet and sick as can be. So here it is 5 days later and I am still suffering with stomach cramping and other issues. Think twice before you order anything with chicken in it. I should have gone to the doctor but hard to do when you're sick and couch bound due to food poisoning. Generally pretty good. Unfortunately, my girlfriend ordered the Baja Grain Bowl and it came without the advertised avocado.

Panera is my go to study place as of late. They have free wifi, coffee with refills (or Idk if there are refills actually :X), and plenty of space with available outlets. They're located across from a Barnes and Noble (my second favorite study location), and right next to the Panda Express. Lots of parking available. What I really love about Panera is that their pastries are oh so tasty and not too expensive. I love their cinnamon scone, their bear claws, their bagels are great, and I hear that the cheese danishes are definitely worth a try. The walnut pecan rolls are slightly dry on the inside, unfortunately. :[.... Their soups are pretty tasty but the half and half (half soup, and half a sandwich) deal is noooot enough food for a well sized dude with a good appetite. We went this morning to grab some coffee and cookies. The line was so long only 2 registers were open. After 10 minutes wait we are finally at the register, we paid for coffee and cookies. When I come to get coffee No Light Roast coffee, the pot is empty. Then I asked the lady at register for light roast coffee, she disappeared without saying anything. I poured dark roast coffee in my cup when I approached CREAMER, there is no creamer. Then I asked for creamer. After 3 minutes wait the lady who disappeared without saying anything, she came back with a cup of coffee and slammed it on the table "light Roast Coffee'. I do not blame the lady, she was frustrated. It is the management job to schedule enough employees for breakfast to cover the front back and coffee. Such a disappointment experience. read more

My co-worker and I went today, tried to order it, ordered something different (it sucked) and I asked the manager "Why did Panera choose to stop carrying the sausage breakfast sandwich" His reply (which I understand when management is not transparent) was "I don't know, they just make the changes and don't tell us why" Panera corporate - what an embarrassing and unprofessional position you put your Managers in. Friday after Thanksgiving and we put in a giant order for 13 for a picnic lunch. Pick-up time was a bit pushed out and when the order wasn't ready at the scheduled time I felt pressured and started checking in a few times with the staff at the pickup counter. They were swamped and I guess had received a few giant orders (Friday after Thanksgiving!) but everyone was super cool and working so hard. The shift supervisor was working on our order and when she brought it around she was so nice and saying sorry and explaining. They were all there working and doing so well with all the crazy extra orders on a holiday, such great staff pulling it off. Order was 100% and food was delish, as always. Thanks!!!! read more

Bakery options are few and far between in my 'hood, much as less a place with a lot of soup options. So, our go-to place in Natomas when we feel like a a bread bowl of soup or half sandwich/half salad combo is Panera; and usually the one near the Target as opposed to the one near Safeway, since we're usually running errands at nearby Natomas Marketplace when we want some Panera grub. Anyway, what we almost always look for is their creamy chicken and wild rice soup. Hubby gets the soup bread bowl, and I get half a grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of said soup and my side baguette. Yum! Oh, and of course, if you buy a meal item, you can add a pastry for only 99-cents. Hubby always get the Cobblestone muffin and i"m partial to cherry danishes (unless it's pumpkin season). Panera is a consistent go-to place. I'm part of their "my Panera" club deal thing, so every once in a while they swipe my card and we get a free something or other, so that's cool. It's just a good place to go in Natomas if it's cold outside and you're craving something warming...their soups are pretty good, and taste great in a bread bowl. Good stuff!! read more

Two stars for prompt service and edible food. I ordered a 1/2 strawberry chicken salad and 1/2 Turkey avocado club with an iced tea. My husband also ordered a Turkey club and our order came to $20+. For one, I think the pricing was a bit steep for what we ordered and the taste. Two, the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Salad tasted as if it came straight from sitting in the fridge in a box, as it was ice cold. Maybe a teaspoon of salad dressing. The sandwich was medicore, not really much flavor. Only thing interesting about this place was their variety of freshly brewed iced teas like acai and passion mango. I've always felt "meh" about Panera in general, but I had a gift card to use up and the one in Rancho Cordova I went to with some colleagues a few months back was pretty decent. Always a pleasant experience. I used to visit more when I lived closer, but have been craving those cinnamon bagels for 6 months (the last time I had one). As I walked towards the entrance, a young man who was cleaning the door and windows, noticed me and opened the door for me before I had even stepped onto the sidewalk!! - 3 stars As I walk through the lobby to the front counter it's warm and inviting, smells great (as always). By the time I had gotten to the counter and looked at the menu, 8:30p, a young lady walks out and apologizes for making me wait (no worries I was there for maybe a minute). I order a 1/2 dozen for $6.95, which isn't a bad deal, getting 6 cinnamon bagels. She was wonderful & helpful. Asking if I was a member, I tell her yes and that I forgot I was. She takes down my information and notices I have a day pastry waiting until October!!! Awesome deal, I had forgotten about that too. I pass on that but ask her what my options were. She goes into great detail about my options and well long story short she gave great customer service. - 2 stars This has always been a great Panera & they haven't let me down. The service counter here, led by Manager Crystal is absolutely awful. Disorganized, no communication, and completely rude. We placed an order online to be ready at 12:05. We got here at 12:15 and our order was not ready or in the "prep" queue. We asked where our food was and they asked our last names, turned around and never told us the status. When I asked again, they asked me my last name like 3 more times. When we finally got our food at 12:25 it was wrong. When I let the manager know she gave me a dirty look, took the sandwich and turned around. Mind you there's a lovely sign that says "we want your order to be right, if it's not we'll fix it right away and give you a treat for your troubles." This place sucks. Won't be back. read more

I like Panera Bread. It's a slight upgrade from La Bou since your sandwich isn't pre-made behind the sneeze guard and you don't slide your tray down to the cashier like it's a cafeteria. I came in and the menu is above the cashier or there's paper menus laying around. They have: sandwiches, paninis, soups, salads, coffees, teas, smoothies, and bakery items like bagels, specialty breads, cookies, muffins, mini bundt cakes.. You name it. And, free wi-fi. No password necessary. They have a "You Pick 2" menu item of which you can choose between a cup of soup, 1/2 cafe salad, or 1/2 cafe sandwich for $6.69+. You can also substitute for a 'signature' item for an extra charge. And, along with the 2 you choose, you also get a choice of chips or bread (piece of a baguette). This is what I get. So when you order and pay, they take your name and they'll call your name to pick up your order when it's ready. There's a drink station with condiments, etc. This is where they have water cups available and what I really like in this area is that they even have lids available out for their water cups. Anyway, I do enjoy Panera Bread and this location is over in the same shopping plaza with Target, Barnes and Nobles, and next to the Jelly Belly store. It seemed cozy for the most part. They have plenty of tables and booths, a "fireplace".. and they get a good amount of traffic through.. You can tell by all the wear on the upholstery. I don't recommend their french onion soup. And, sometimes there have been kids hanging at the door panhandling for money to buy a sandwich. Dumbest shit EVER! If you don't have money and you're trying to get food at Panera.. WTF, it's not a dollar menu up in there. If you give them money, you're fucking dumb. read more

This is my favorite Panera location in Sacramento! It has a warm, clean, welcoming environment, very friendly staff, great food, and free wi-fi! On my last visit I ended up talking to one of the staff members for quite some time, he was hella cool. When you food is complete, they call out your name loud enough for you to hear it instead of giving you those annoying buzzer things. So far all my orders from this spot have always came out perfect, so definitely no complaints on the food. The pastries here are yummy also! I would highly recommend coming here =) read more

I am a fan of this place! It can get pretty busy, but after coming here for a few years i know when to come and when to stay away. I usually come here to study, i order my little meal and i'm good for about 6 hours of cramming my head into the books. Usually i order the pick two. i like the combination of soup, salad, or side dish with a bag of chips, fruit or bread. Most of the time i order, mac n cheese, broccoli cheese soup, tuna sandwich and Asian chicken salad; any of the two combination would be perfect together. But they do have plenty of other choices. I tried the strawberry fields salad today and other than the gnarled chicken the combination of flavors was really good. The Chicken looks nothing like it should. Its slimy and looks like went through a meat grinder. Other salads like the Fuji Apple are really good, but the portion is really small. It comes in this huge bowl, but there is hardly anything in there. I ordered two once and it was about the size it should have been, but it cost over $20.00 for my lunch. When its time to eat, its often almost impossible to find a table that has been wiped down. Most have crumbs and greasy dressing stains on them. When your through with your meal you go to the garbage area with your dirty plate. Its up to you to sort out your dirty dishes. This is disgusting because the garbage cans are usually overflowing and unattended. Dirty plates, utensils, and bowls are everywhere. So even though I like the flavors of the food, I often skip eating here for lunch. There are so many other places to eat in Natomas. read more

Good place to grab an all-American lunch or dinner. I remember coming to this Panera a lot when I needed to study and would bring my laptop for free wifi. The food is always good and healthy (I love that they have the calorie count right on top so you can read). I always get the Pick-Two Signature combinations! I usually get the Italian sandwich with the fuji apple salad or the tamato bisque soup. Can't go wrong with a lot of the food items. I enjoy their bakery although I try to stay away from it because it can be dangerously good! Bathrooms are clean. The seating and tables can get filled quickly on busy days with study groups and people reading or working on their school assignments. Make sure you come early if you want to study so that you can get your table near an outlet. Nice and friendly staff too. read more

I like coming here for lunch because it is quick and easy. Order at the counter and pick up your food when the buzzer goes off. This location is in a busy strip mall and can get really crowded at lunch. There have been times when the line goes out to the door and it was hard to find a table. It usually moves fast though. The salads here are always good. Its hit or miss on the amount though because sometimes I will get a bowl that is half full and sometimes it is brimming to the top when I order the same size. The sandwiches have always been good no matter what I order. Of course they are known for their breads so you can go wrong with a sandwich. My favorite thing on the menu is the turkey cranberry flatbread. Sliced turkey that is moist and the sauce is very flavorful. read more

This is one of our favorite places to get a casual meal. They have a good variety of menu choices and they add new items regularly. My wife's favorite is the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad. I love the Bacon Turkey Bravo Sandwich. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served. The staff is always friendly and service is prompt.
