As I'm waiting for my order the cashier informs me they're out of bananas for the strawberry banana smoothie which would of been nice to know before I ordered it and paid. When I got home my kids macaroni was missing and the bag of chips had a hole in the bottom of the bag which was the reason they were stale. I tried to call twice but I got no answer. The employee attempted better customer service than the manager, but really, we hesitate before coming here because the service is never good, we never leave full, and the cost is always at least $30.00 for two people. Given what you get--and don't get--it's just not worth it. Now that the area is getting other options, I can't imagine we'll be back. Brand new location that just opened! Located to the left of Ulta Beauty and in the Target shopping center. They have 4 self-serve ordering kiosks if you want to skip the line. There's a big dining area with a "quiet" room. Unfortunately, -1 star because at least half of the empty tables were dirty with either crumbs, liquids, or food smears/stains. I don't think there's enough staff to constantly clean and wipe down the tables after each guest. I ordered a kids mac n cheese and grilled cheese meal. So for me I usually just pick up bread or pastries. Love the bacon and spinach souffle pastry. I've gotten it warm, but if not I pop it into a toaster and heat it up. Sooo good. The cranberry orange muffin is usually good if they are fresh. If not the muffin is dense not fluffy. The last couple times I've gotten the muffin, they've tasted old. The time before last the muffin has coarse sugar on top, the sugar had dissolved because of condensation. I decided to try something different. I usually get French onion soup and the tortellini. I ended up getting the soba noodles with umami broth. Cost me $9.79 Plus tax or something close to that. The noodles were not your normal soba noodle, it was a blend of buckwheat with rice noodle or something. It was a pale color. I ended up throwing it all away. Ate some of the chicken for protein and some of the noodles and spinach. The rest I just dumped into compost. The chicken had some flavoring that just did not go with the soup. The spinach was in a wad (very appetizing...NOT). The broth didn't taste umami to me. Hard to describe the earthiness that came out of that dish. I would not order it. Looked nothing at all like the displayed picture on their menu. We come for the turkey chili, my husband had a hankering and he's been craving it for a week so we stopped for it. He also got the turkey bravo, but for almost $7.00 for a turkey sandwich I would say forget it. It's just blah. On the plus I enjoyed sitting next to the fire display at the back of the room. Really cozy. Don't park on the side of restaurant, the spaces are made for SMART cars or motorcycles. C'mon Panera you used to be great. I haven't been in over six months and decided to pick up some dinner from this location. All to be made was a Grilled Cheese with bacon and tomato soup. Instead what I received was a burnt bread with basically kraft cheese that wasn't even fully melted, and a three-inch strip of undercooked bacon (for $1.50 extra mind you). I would expect that from other places but you advertise yourself as an "Artesian experience" and charge $8.00 for something that was not only made horribly lazy but the most basic of sandwiches. If I hadn't already been home when I looked at it, it would have gone right back to the store instead of in my trash. I'm unable to say if this is a result of policy or employee inefficiency but based on the other reviews the Manager definitely needs to get it together. Stopped by while leaving the Monterey Penninsula. When we walked in, they looked super busy with a line to the door but we figured we would take a chances. I think we waited in line to order longer than it actually took us to get our food. There were 7 of us, so we had a pretty big order. Most of us ordered water, but we did ask for a kids fountain drink with one of the meals. After walking away, we noticed the cashier didn't give us the cup. My husband walked back up to ask her for one and she directed him around the corner where you pick up the orders. Beneath the pick up window were a bunch of cups and to-go boxes so we didn't want to just grab one. So as another worker walked by, we asked her for a cup and she pointed at the water cups. At this point, my husband stopped caring and grabbed one from under the counter and proceeded to bmgran our drink. The food came out no more than 10 minutes after ordering. One good thing about this location was that they had lots of pastries still available even at 2pm. Usually in my area, if you do not make it in by 11 on a weekend, there is not much left. I was a little disappointed because they were out of baguettes, but the bread they replaced it with was not bad. If there was an award for "Worst Panera," this location would get it. While the food is on par with any other Panera location, the service here is abysmal. Get prepared to wait, and wait, and wait. Order ahead online? Still be prepared to wait. I've placed mobile orders for a coffee (yes, just a coffee) and arrived 30 minutes later for it to still not be ready. On multiple occasions, Ive gone in early in the morning to find myself the sole customer. Despite multiple employees working (if jaw jacking with each other is work), my orders are still not ready despite ordering ahead 15+ min. Not only are the staff at this location possibly the laziest and slowest of all the Paneras Ive been to, they are particularly grumpy and rude to customers, even the lady who I believe was a manager (dark curly hair). I now realize why this particular location has given me such issues in the past. The management here is so lackadaisical when it comes to customer care it's ridiculous. On two occasions, my oatmeal has been completely messed up. One of those times, even having a piece of bacon in it!!!! I haven't eaten pork in over 25 years, so imagine, when I tasted it and what could've happened had I ingested it. I specifically annotate what I expect from my orders; as there is a special instructions option for this reason, and time and time again, I find myself having to go back to the counter to either ask for a new order with what I specified. Today, 3 months pregnant, I decide to order an egg and cheese on a bun. I specify in my request that I would like the egg done over hard - meaning well done and I get to my desk only to see the egg is runny all over the bread. Undercooked. I return to the store and asked to speak with the manager, she says "we cannot cook the eggs all the way, either over easy or scrambled". Really?? I say to her, that I am pregnant and want a real egg, over hard, fully cooked. She responds, if you don't mind waiting, you need to write that in the special instructions that you want it well done and that you don't mind waiting". Really?! I wrote that I want it over hard! Period! That should indicate that I want it cooked all the way!!! Furthermore, if I'm ordering online, it means that the time annotated for the order preparation should be honored. And if i have to wait a minute or two for my order to be made as specified, DO I REALLY NEED TO WRITE THAT? How much longer would it take for an egg to be made fully cooked vs 1/2 way cooked?! A minute or two at most?? Needless to say, I've been standing here waiting for my order to be done over for the last 10 minutes. Not one offer of an apology for her staff not following the orders specified instructions. Or for the wait! And Standing here, I see why now.... she plays buddy with her staff vs manager! Terrible experience! I have visited this location 3 times including tonight and I will never return because each time I was left very disappointed. My to go order tonight was the final straw. I placed the order online, paid nearly $50, including a tip to the staff. My family and I have all been down with the flu and didn't want to cook, looking for an easy healthy dinner. I grabbed my order from the to-go rack, didn't check it, which was my mistake. But heaven forbid, trust someone to do the job they are paid to do right! Not to mention the bags are sealed with a sticker, as if to dissuade you from checking it and to trust them! When I got home, I found that an item was missing and the items that made it in the bag were not good quality. The meat on the sandwiches was chewy and nearly inedible. When I called the store to let them know, I am told they can't help me as it is policy not to issue refunds via phone. I was expected to drive all the way back to process a refund in person. They are a large chain that can easily take payments via internet and phone cannot issue a refund?? Really?? Now I have to take time out of my day tomorrow to get a proper refund. It's really convenient to be able to place your order online and have it ready for pick up at their rapid order station; no waiting just go in, grab your order, then you're out. I had a business meeting here last week. They have a room in the back with a fireplace. This makes an ideal location for a group because you order at the counter, so checks are automatically separated and they have a variety of food and drinks, including soup, healthy salads, coffee shop fare like cakes and pastries and coffee from an espresso machine. The venue is spacious and quite a few locals use it as a coffeehouse type of space, surfing the web on laptops. Lots of outdoor tables and parking spots in the lot. Friendly staff. read more

The time had taken quite a while, but we had been chatty and didn't noticed. When we realized it had been over 10 minutes we went to see if we were supposed to pick up the food. So I have been back to this Panera quite a few times now. Approximately 13 total times since they have opened. And I'm a real get in and go person. So normally I grab food from the app and pick it up via rush pickup. However.. This panera needs to get its act together. Out of 9 to-go orders they have messed up 7 of them. Salad dressing missing, my drink missing, my side missing, once an entire cup of soup missing. It's ridiculous, I expect to be taken care of as I would in any other panera and this one just doesn't know how to get it together. They are always out of something mid day. The bakery shelves are pretty barren even at 1pm. Your cashiers are ill trained and for the love of all that is good. Get some people who can actually figure out how to pack a Togo order without forgetting stuff. It's a hassle, it wastes our time, and makes us want to go elsewhere. And some of your staff look like they hate their lives. Keep them out of the front of the house if they can't interact with people respectfully and professionally. When I ask for something, I get an eye roll or a scoff. For your repeat customers. Learn to take care of them. Get your food up to standard, and hire competent staff. I am rather picky about my food outside home, for many reasons however Panera is one my choices for soups and goodies. But on Friday Diana just simply made my day. normally I just go in there order what I need to and go about my day. But on this day she received us with such enthusiasm and positivity, mind you my best friend was feeling a little sleepy and it is probable also due to being hungry but when we walked in there and Diana welcomed us--he completely lit up. Truly Diana is one of those individuals who just light it up with their own spark. She made it so fun to be in there and honestly we felt at home with her which is something I, as a mixed Afro Black person don't often feel anywhere really. Everyone creating the order was nice everyone that day was very polite and top of it all including my other Afro Bkack brother that was there cleaning up a spill who informed us right away that it was wet near the soda machine. Everyone was very attentive. A huge shout out to Diana I hope to see her there again and thank you for making us laugh and feel awake while waiting for our food! Panera is a confusing place for me. On one side it looks like a cheap Starbucks with prebrewed coffee. If been at Panera (different places) where people wait to get their coffee until the next hourly pour happens. On the other side it's a decent bakery. For an European like me the bread at Panera comes very close to what I grew up to expect from the super market. This place in particular was a good place to sit down and enjoy a snack. The bagels were good and I was happy to get more cream cheese than I expected. I was afraid to run out of it half bagel. Staff was friendly but a little bit slow. We waited for the bagels longer than I would expect. It didn't seem crowded. The interior was clean enough, but a little bit run down.
