Food was fantastic, larger portions and great flavors. Had the chicken shawarma, kids falafel meal, hummus with pita, spanakopita and baklava. Everyone loved everything. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Small area inside to sit down, but they do have table tables and chairs outside, which is a plus on a beautiful day . If you are in the area, support this small business, your stomach will thank you!

The ambience of this restaurant is lovely - very Mediterranean vibes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The falafel and lentil soup were amazing but the shawarma need a bit more sauce, which you can add!

Flavorful, Fresh, and Full of Heart - Dametra Fresh Mediterranean in Monterey If you're craving bold Mediterranean flavors with a side of genuine hospitality, Dametra Fresh is the place. Every dish we tried tasted like it came straight from a family kitchen--fresh, vibrant, and crafted with care. The meal kicked off with creamy Tzatziki and smooth Hummus, served with perfectly warm, fluffy pita that we couldn't stop dipping. The Falafel was crisp on the outside and soft inside, bursting with herbs and spices. The Chicken Shawarma was juicy and seasoned to perfection, and the Chicken Kabob had that irresistible chargrilled flavor. For the plant-based option, the Ultimate Vegan Delight lived up to its name--colorful, hearty, and full of flavor, not just filler. To end on a sweet note, the Baklava was a dream--flaky layers of pastry, rich honey, and just the right crunch of nuts. The space was bright and spotless, with a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. Staff were kind, attentive, and seemed to genuinely enjoy making people feel at home. Dametra Fresh isn't just a quick bite--it's the kind of place you remember and recommend. Five stars, no hesitation. We will be back!

$13.00 Brown old salad and NO dressing.

The food here is usually great but today my salad was brown! And they sent it plain no dressing. When I called they just said sorry there is nothing we can do. We live in the salad bowl do better. And no one wants to eat a salad with no dressing. Basically just took $13.00 and threw it in the trash. Terrible terrible service.

The two guys that were there were great and very enthusiastic, they really made you want to try the food! I went with a friend, it was our first time there since we are new to the area and we're trying new places. The restaurant is nice with a large window. To sit at while you eat. The food was soooo good!! I was weary to get anything at first but sooo glad I did!! Definitely will be a favorite spot for me in the area! 9/10!

    Amazing food!!

Dametra Fresh Mediterranean is a mandatory stop when we visit the Monterey area. This place is the perfect fast-casual lunch spot, especially if you want great food but are limited on time. On our way out of town last week, we enjoyed an amazing lunch at Dametra Fresh. I love the "Plate It" option where your pita comes on the side, and you get to pick your choice of meat and a few sides. The ingredients are always fresh. The portions are generous. And, the food is authentic and tasty. Add this place to your California Coast restaurant rotation. Enjoy!

The food here tasted really great! You can tell that it's fresh, and their sauces are really tasty. I recommend their falafel, it was so well cooked! The food was a bit pricey... but it is Monterey after all. Their service was quick, and it's a cute little place. I recommend!

Wow! Amazing eggplant (smoky, and tasty). The gyro plate was delish with the lamb and beef being tender and the rice was flavored underneath. The spanakopita was flaky and also packed with delicious inside spinach and feta. Service was immediate and wow what a fun dinner time atmosphere. They encouraged us to dance with the live music. The musicians and singers and service was exceptional. I'd come back again!

You might be wondering, "what are you doing here?" I'm wondering the same thing! If you read my…read moreother reviews, you'll see that I reside in the Central Valley, which is pretty far from Monterey, but not too far. I came for a little vacation from the heat, which is definitely necessary because it gets pretty toasty in the Fresno area. I think it's all the roads and stuff. I wouldn't know, I'm not a scientist. To continue what I was saying, I came to Monterey for a little vacation! Usually I'd go eat at a little spot at a mall called Island Burger, but to my surprise, the place was permanently closed! Can you believe it? I couldn't. Because the Island Burger was closed, I decided to go elsewhere for a burger. I checked online to see what folks were saying about this place, and it seemed like everybody had mostly positive things to say. So I went and ate there! When I walked in I noticed it was one of those spots where you just kinda put in your order and sit down and wait. So that's what I did. I got the spicy burger, but I can't remember the name of it. I also got some onion rings and chicken wings. I'd like to mention that I was with my family so we could share those items. I could theoretically eat all of that myself, but that'd be a bit greedy. The burger was great and it had a good amount of spice. The meat was juicy and nicely seasoned, and the fries were perfectly crispy. The onion rings had a delicious batter, and were fried to perfection. The chicken wings really surprised me! I would go as far as to say that they were on par with, and maybe even better than Wingstop. Overall, the service was great and quick, the food was immaculate, and I would absolutely recommend this spot to anybody who is in the area. The bathrooms are nice too. I forgot to mention that. Good bathrooms are very important.

The patty was a solid size, not too thick and not too thin. It was the perfect thickness, giving you a great balance of meat, cheese, and toppings in every bite. Everything is made fresh to order, and you can tell. The lettuce was crisp, the tomatoes were fresh, the grilled onions were perfect, and the whole thing was put together so well. It wasn't messy, just a quality burger from the first bite to the last.My son got The Works, and if you saw his burger, you'd understand why he cleaned his plate. The food came out fresh, hot, and looked amazing. They really take the time to make everything look picture-worthy. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, the wait wasn't long at all, and they have self-serve fountain drinks, which is always a plus. The menu is simple and easy to order from. They have salads, chicken burgers, hamburgers, and you can customize your burger however you like. Their burgers are cooked medium-well by default, but I asked for mine well-done and they got it exactly right. The customer service was cool. They weren't over the top trying to impress you, but they definitely weren't underperforming either. Everyone was chill, friendly, and got the job done. The portions are generous. I only finished half my burger and took the rest home. I reheated it later and it was still just as delicious. Overall Rating: 8.7/ 10. This place has officially earned a spot on my list of go-to burger spots. I'll definitely be back!

(Most of the time) I've only left an in n out a review only once before and it's usually when something is wrong. Because I know they care about their brand. So here goes....something is kind of sus with this location: 1- The burgers: usually in n out burgers taste fresh. You don't get that "old meat funk" in the smell or flavor. Our burgers, at least, had a little of that funk, the kind of funk when meat sits out or is a little old. I didn't get sick or anything, but you can taste the funk - it didn't taste like the in n out burgers I'm used to. 2- The space: man this place was a mess. Food all over the tables. Trash all over and around the trash cans. Food under the tables. It was just kind of gross. We wiped down our table and chairs with napkins. They weren't even busy when we went, so not sure why that was the case. 3- The atmosphere: you can barely breathe. No AC or even fan running. After about 10 minutes inside, I felt like I was suffocating. I went outside where there was a nice breeze, while waiting for food. They just really needed to open the door. Luckily, they turned the AC on after I came back inside. All in all - it wasn't the worst in n out I've been to. But it's not the in n out standard I'm used to.

They also added the Ike's sauce which was weird because it's not listed on the menu and when the man read back to me what would be on my sandwich he didn't mention it. Thankfully it wasn't overbearing so I barely noticed it. But I don't know if they are rationing the marinara but there was barely any on the sandwich. The fried chicken also has no flavor or texture. So even though the sandwich has plenty on it it just lacks flavor. My husband got a BLT with avocado. Again it was just fine, nothing special and it lacked flavor as well. For $12 - $15 per sandwich I always want more from it. The sandwiches are a decent size and can be split into 2 meals. So the price is fair. When we arrived they had a small parking lot but busy because they do a lot of Door Dash and Uber Eats business. Once inside I took a quick look at the menu and saw they had breakfast burritos of either Chorizo-Sausage-Ham-Bacon or Veggie. I chose Chorizo breakfast burrito($10.39) The shop is run by the owner-he was the cashier and the cook. In talking to him,he was telling me that his family owns multiple Mexican small shops like this in the Juarez Mexico area and El Paso Texas area.Says that all the shops use the same recipe for their hot sauce that is served with the burritos. Once the burrito arrived,it was both heavy and warm.Once I cut it open,I was able to appreciate the craftsmanship of this burrito in all its chorizo, egg, potato and cheese glory-it was beautiful. As pretty as it was though,it tasted even better,I had planned on only eating half of it as I had a tee time in less than an hour but one bite led to another and then it was gone. I've had many breakfast burritos in my day and as unexpected as this is to say, this may have been the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Also the aforementioned family-recipe hot sauce that came with the burrito was so spicy yet so tasty--perfect combo to a perfect burrito.
