My turkey chili looks lil bit like mac and cheese, LOL!
Wendi K.

UPDATE: Okay, I spoke too soon. They literally gave me the complete wrong order today, lol! I was too hungry to care but it was 15 minutes to close and I feel like they just ran out of the item I ordered and figured it'd be okay to sub it with something else. Just a nit, but still annoying! ---------------------------------------- I don't usually review chains but I feel the need to negate these negative reviews! I ordered online - the you Pick Two, half chicken Napa Almond Sandwich and Cup of Broccoli Cheddar Soup ($8.88) with a baguette side and everything was fresh, the soup was hot, packaged perfectly, and ready in a jiffy! Could not be happier :) said

Dirt smeared booths

This was by far the dirtiest fast food restaurant I've ever been in. The booths were smeared with stuff, dirty tables, dirty seats. Overflowing dirty plate rack. I didn't even want to sit my drink down at the drink station everything was so dirty and sticky. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. It wasn't even busy when we went and it was before the lunch rush as well. Just overall nasty. I'll never go back.

Dust! Hand print-table not in use, obviously-hence the zip ties.

What happened? We came in without being greeted, which I thought was unusual, but there were a lot more employees than customers, a lot. I ordered a bagel but was not asked if I wanted any cream cheese or anything, nor toasted. I did. He asked for his specific order, seeing how they didn't want to put forth any effort with mine. We went to sit down and we're trying to stay away from the two (!) other tables that had people-not a single (useable) table was clean! This was at 9am. They must have had a big rush of customers before we arrived. There was even a chair tipped over in the dining room. Cob webs in the fireplace. This isn't what we are used to when stopping at a Panera!

This is how many tables they had

Nice selection to choose from. Sandwiches, soups, and salads additionally some baked sweets. Good atmosphere, but pricey place.

Panera is quickly becoming one of my favorite breakfast and lunch places because of the service and quality of locations like Sandusky OH.

The Gyro salad is also amazing. In fact, I have never been disappointed in anything prepared here. The selection of baked goods is amazing. The wine selection is also outstanding. ( Now for the other side of the story). Going back to the time when I was born (in Ireland, but this story began in another part of Europe) In the 1950's outside of Athens, Greece when a family traveled from there to the United States in search of a better life. The mother found comfort in a foreign land while working as a baker, hand-making the recipes she brought with her. She passed these recipes on, with love. Another begins in the 1980's on the Italian island of Sardinia when a young man in the U.S. Navy, met a local girl & brought her back to the United States to raise their family. She keeps in touch with her family & her homeland by importing the food products she grew up loving. Their stories eventually intertwine through a marriage. They bring these tastes of the Mediterranean & tlove of these foods to our community on the north coast of Lake Erie. Join in the experience!

So I called to place an order for pickup, 2 with double meat for me and 1 regular. It doesn't even occur to me until I get home and look at the receipt I was ripped off. The woman on the phone or the guy who rang me up either one could have mentioned something but WHY WOULD I PAY MORE FOR JUST DOUBLE MEAT THAN AN ACTUAL GYRO!? For one the double meat used to be like $2 but why on earth would someone just want to pay more for double meat when they could just buy another one and clean out the wrap into the other!? Shady business practice for sure...
