For those few of us of who care about what we put in our bodies, Panera is one of the few chains that gets what we want. Service is always friendly and fast. Lines get long at peak times.... Rather than complain, why don't you order online and it will be ready in about 10 min.? No line, duh! My only complaints are that the dining room floor gets dirty. And the wifi...the worst in town. Would be Four stars but for that. Usually, it's to slow to draw the login page! Now that is slow. Doesn't matter the time of day. This when Comcast offers 100MB down for $70/ mo. Hello, Manager! Although I'm a huge advocate for Mom-n-Pop style places, especially for Santa Fe...this place is convenient to grab an early bite to eat and the service is quick and friendly even for a drive-thru scenario. I visited this store again today and my experience was worse than the first time. The young lady working the drive thru speakers during the day either needs a new head set or hearing aid. She was not able to answer my questions (soups of the day and drink choices) and asked the manager to jump on board when she became frustrated. Their products are great, if you actually get what you ordered. I am not being facetious when I say that less than half of the time are my drive through orders completely correct. For the life of me, I don't know why they cannot seem to understand why someone driving a car would want the bagel delivered with cream cheese already put on it. Many times an item is missing and I have to remind them what I ordered. Just be sure to check before you leave the drive thru. read more

I am always pleased with Panera Bread when I order for myself and my family. The food is delicious and nutritious. However, catering an event for my office was underwhelming and a runaround nightmare. We catered an event April 26th with deluxe salads and sandwiches and assorted cookies. I was not able to have it delivered due the time I placed the order and the volume of deliveries placed at the same time. I willing drove to the store and picked up my order. I was assured everything was there before leaving. I returned to the office and found out none of the cookies were sent with me. I called the catering line and was told they would be delivered. Half of the cookies were delivered. I called again to inquire about the rest and was apologized to then told the charge on my card would be reversed within 24 hours. When the charges hadn't been reversed in five days, I called back and was told someone would call me back. Four days later, I called back again and was told again I would get a call from the store and my number would be given to the DM. NO ONE CALLED. This is such a shame and a loss of good business from my office. We order up to $600 a week on catered meals plus have supplier provided lunches from time-to-time. If this had gone well and the follow-up was done as promised, I'd order again and Panera Bread-Santa Fe would have a regular customer. I would not cater again knowing mistakes are not handled well and refunds are not issued as promised. Follow-up and do what you say you will. You've lost big. read more

Today was absolutely disgusting. I received my half Cesar salad. halfway through i found a hair that was not mine in the salad. Instantly i lost my appetite, i notified the employee and i told her i didn't want it anymore. Her response was " OKAY" took my plate and never said anything after. It's my first time eating at Panera bread. I ordered a panini sandwich and didn't like it at all. The manager Greg W. Out if Sante Fe asked us how we liked our lunch. I told him that I didn't like mine. He recommended a chicken bacon sandwich and said that he would take care of us and replace my sandwich. I absolutely loved the sandwich that he recommended! We are getting so disheartened! We like a number of things on the menu but have now had two problems with take-out orders and you now how it feels to get home and find a problem. The first time, a couple of months ago, got home to find someone else's sandwich instead of what was ordered. The second time, just a couple of days ago, found that the sandwich was not on the bread requested, the Greek salad had very little cheese and not a drop of dressing (don't know if it was supposed to be on the salad or on the side), and our first time for clam chowder was a letdown--tasty but too soupy (could/should be thicker & needs more solid ingredients). The French baguettes are killer, the tuna is good (tho we think Firehouse Subs' is better); and yet we will not give up on Panera. read more

Unfortunately Santa Fe doesn't have a lot of quick places to grab a bagel and coffee in the morning. Other than Dunkin Donuts, which has terrible service and average, food finding these kind of items can be a chore. We are often in town to head up into the mountains for the day and don't want to spend an hour or two eating a breakfast and we all know that this city has amazing places to get breakfast. This is where a place like Panera has value. You can get in and out fairly quickly even though two sandwiches and a few breakfast items took 15 minutes at this particular location. The cashiers we're very friendly and helpful but those making the sandwiches needed some work but I guess that's why one of the managers double-check every order that went through before the customers received it. Sounds like a lot of work but if that's what you got to do to ensure people get their right meals awesome. Beyond that we all know about Panera. It's a massive chain with average food and affordability. If you don't mind that this is your spot. read more

Have been disappointed with the overall experience at this Panera location. Waited 20 minutes in the drive thru line for awful iced coffee. Then I thought I'd give it another chance and returned but went inside to get the brewed coffee, only to find they were out of stirring sticks, etc. When I asked the lady behind the counter for napkins and stirring sticks she had a bad attitude, they simply do not care about quality at this establishment. read more

Went through the drive thru and had 3 different people try and take my order so I had to repeat it multiple times. We got to the window and there was stuff missing from the order we let him know and fixed some stuff but there was still food missing. So, yesterday I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich.............many, many minutes later, when those who came in after me were served, I asked an attendant for my order. I had a 1/2 Ceasar 1/2 Fontina Grilled Cheese. The girl at the register was very courteous and took our order quickly. My friend had the 1/2 Thai Chicken Salad and 1/2 Fontina. Our other friend had 1/2 Sandwich and Soup. The food was brought to us in less than 10 minutes and the sandwiches were grilled perfectly and very good. My salad was the perfect size to accompany a sandwich and my friend's salad was very big and she brought the rest home. Our other friend also enjoyed her meal. My cookie was nice and chocolatey and it was melted nicely and baked perfectly. The store was immaculate and we had a very nice gentlemen bring our food out to us and take our trays away. I have been to other panera restaurants, but this one did not measure up. The services was slow, they got the order wrong and the sausage on my breakfast sandwich was so awful it was inedible. It was like they over cooked a freezer burned piece of sausage. I tried to say something to the wait staff, but she ran away before I could tell her. I choose one star because this store is in serious need of better management. I have been to Panera stores all over the US and this is the worst one because there isn't enough staff and the staff is not well trained. I'm sure it must be demoralizing to work there. If you're out this way and think your finding "an old friend" of a restaurant think again. Not ℗ officially" Panera...don't know what that means...learned it when they would take my card. But it doesn't end there. Menu close but not totally a Panera you go to. Bread is far less fresh, especially to go baguettes. But worse his how un care for this new store is. Patio is a mess and it's apparent nobody is in charge of keeping it clean. At least five tables were full of debris when I was there, and the trash can filled. The girl bringing out food to who was there had blinders on, could have put something in her hand going back...but didn't. Out of things out front, little things that annoy you. No lemon for tea....really? No coffee refilled up front. Also, the breakfast bacon and egg sandwich is and looks anemic on the plate. Boring and bread.... Is there an egg and bacon in there. My first experience? Amazing! Would have given 5 stars. My second? Good but a little sloppy. Would have given 4 stars. My third? Bad. Just bad. So I gave 2 stars. All three times I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. The first time it was SO delicious! The sandwich was loaded with the chicken salad which made me feel better about paying about $8 for it. The second time it was made sloppily. The two pieces of bread were placed opposite of each other. It may not be a big deal to some people, but it just shows laziness. It's not that hard to match the top of a piece of bread with the top of another. This last time, just tonight, I was SO disappointed! The chicken salad sandwich I got was beyond skimpy. The chicken salad didn't even go to the edges of bread, anywhere! It was a tiny blob in the middle. The taste was way different too. It didn't taste like either of the other times. There were no grapes in it and maybe a couple slices of almond. The whole sandwich tasted like the person who made didn't give a crap how it tasted or looked. The only good part was the bread was nice and soft. And my husband ordered a peanut butter cookie for me and they instead gave him oatmeal which he didn't notice until he'd gotten home. My biggest issue with Santa Fe restaurants is how they go from great to crappy in about 6 months. Someone, I'm going to point to a manager, isn't doing their job by making sure quality is up to standard because I'm pretty sure the Panera franchise would not approve of inconsistent experiences at the same shop. Right now, the only way I would go back would be if I stop to check my food at the counter to see if it's up to my standards or not. I work for the fire department and was looking for a late night meal after a long busy day. I arrived around 20 minutes after the restaurant closed and I was parked at the front door in a department vehicle trying to see the times on the door when the manager came out to make sure everything was ok. After telling him that I was trying to see if they were still open, he offered to make me a sandwich and a salad. The staff were super friendly and accommodating - even though they were busy closing up the restaurant! What great customer service! I am a customer for life! I like that Santa Fe has this casual dining option, and the food is pretty good. However, the management of this place is so terrible that I avoid going anymore. I once stood in front of the counter waiting to order while the manager had a conversation with her teenage employee about scheduling right at the cash register, totally ignoring me. The employees are clearly very poorly trained and so the numerous times I've been there the service is slow. The staff also keeps a table in the back of the dining area to collect all the trash and dirty dishes throughout their shift that they don't want to deal with, which is disgusting. read more

I have gone to this place many times! I believe that bad service depends on the time of day or because of under trained staff. This restaurant is consistently making mistakes on my orders, or out of 50% of what I wish to purchase. I have waited on one cup of coffee twice now for over 30 mins! Do not go here, its full of under trained staff and they are always out if everything which amazing that they are busy enough to run out of things at all the way they operate. read more
