Met some friends at Harry's by their suggestion. I got the veggie burger and a salad, and wow! It was one of the best veggie burgers I've had. Made of veggies rather than mashed soy protein and also the beet mayo was so delightful and flavorful (that's the red stuff). I got my choice of salad's as my side and the southwest salad was a great choice. All the veggies were fresh and tasty. The service was great and was very attentive with refilling the coffee and making sure we had everything we needed for our meal. I will definitely need to go back to try more menu items. This place wasn't too far off of where our AirBnb was located. We pulled into the small lot, that was quite filled, and luckily we snagged a spot. We put our name on the waitlist and I don't think we waited more than 15 minutes. We were a party of 3. We were seated, greeted by the waitress, and she took our drink orders. She brought my tea, which is my usual drink. We ordered our food. I drank all of my tea. She came right along to refill it. But first, she refilled my glass with ice and she poured in the tea. She said they don't put ice in their tea since it dilutes it. I can appreciate a business who takes their tea so seriously. It was a great cup of tea. I got a steak quesadilla. It was pretty good. Wish I could remember my dessert, I got some sort of brownie, topped with ice cream and a bourbon sauce. It was so decadent and good. I ate every last bite. I love the food in New Mexico! I love when asked if I want something smothered, I can say Christmas and know I'm getting best of both worlds with red and green. We have visited Harry's on many of our visits to the area. The food is always good and the service is always on point. We sat in one of the side rooms so it didn't feel crowded. I ordered Huevos Rancheros with two basted eggs. The eggs were on top of a blue corn tortilla and there was a side of black beans to go with. The red and green chile smothered it to perfection. I could eat this meal breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was parched so my beverage of choice was water. My husband had the California Dreamin' hand-held burrito and a house margarita. He wasn't sure if he wanted a salted rim so our server offered to have half of it rimmed with salt. That was the perfect balance for him. The cauliflower appetizer was sparse- basically one and a half bites for each of the 4 of us. My Pad Thai (one of the specials) was supposed to have been sprouts as listed on the menu, but instead had radish sprouts. And when I brought it to their attention, they blew smoke up my a** and said "thank you for pointing out the typo" TYPO? Pad Thai is not supposed to have radish sprouts under any circumstances. And the portion was "chincy" at best. It also listed tofu as one of the ingredients- well, it was in fact ONE of the ingredients, I only saw one piece on the entire pitiful plate. They didnt even take it off the bill, and I hardly ate half. It looked like I had really dug in because there was so little to begin with. Harry would have never let those things leave the kitchen looking like that. That's not the case for our experience a few days ago. We went for "brunch", it was 10:30 and they only served breakfast still... and we were very disappointed in pretty much everything. I ordered the steak (medium rare) and eggs (over medium). My steak first of all was tiny, not 5oz as the menu stated, and it was VERY well done. My eggs were over easy, way too runny. I told the server, and bless her heart, she dismissed it as nothing. I am not one to return food. I do not trust the process. The icing on the cake was... we ordered two slices of lemon merengue pie, to go. And GROSS! It had a few (not one or two, but a few) dead nats (tiny little flies) on it. Just enough time to get a couple margaritas at the jammed bar! Don't let the wait and the crowd deter you from going here. With an Extensive Menu- it's hard to figure out what to eat here. Literally something for everyone. A nice local man who remembers the building once being a gas station and garage said they "do seafood well". My husband too that to heart and ordered the Seared Tuna Steak Salad- probably not what the local meant. He was not impressed saying the tuna tasted 'fishy', but the salad was beautiful to look at. I ordered Asada Tacos which came on blue corn tortillas and they were amazing. Fresh delicious slaw and cilantro creama. They were so yummy. The service was impeccable with our waitress have great knowledge of the extensive menu. We sat outside on the patio with many tables around the back shaded cool comfortable stone walk areas. The host told us 20-30 minutes but our party of 3 was seated in less than 10 minutes. I ordered the wild mushroom pizza. This was about a 10" pie with a nice assortment of mushrooms, mozzarella and spinach. I don't remember there being much spinach but the mushrooms were very good. I also had a small chopped salad as a side. It was a nice assortment of crunchy vegetables but I couldn't tell that it was dressed. Pizza and salad were both very good. My wife got the apple salad, which she said was very good. It had romaine, apples, blue cheese, walnuts and dried cherries with a light poppy seed dressing. The third in our party got a plain hamburger with fries, which she said was good. The service was fast and the prices reasonable ($12-$15). We ordered takeout after a trying day and needing a lift. The order: Dry Rubbed Smoky St. Louis Cut Pork Ribs and an order of Baked Penne. When we got our order home and opened up the takeout boxes, we found a rack of ribs that were charcoal. No other way to say it. They were not just overcooked, but completely burned and dried out, with less than appetizing fries on the side. The Penne was just okay, not what I expected, but I had never tried it before so my own fault for ordering it and will never order again. But it left us feeling like the burnt ribs were sent home in a take-out order because there would be NO WAY someone being served at the table would have accepted it.
