5 stars for the friendly and quick service around 4pm on a Saturday but woo-wee did my wallet feel inflation after ordering here for myself and my 2 year old. A half and half deal soup and salad and a kids mac and cheese ($8..yikes!) a drink and a discount cookie set me back $35. The fall squash soup and harvest medley salad were tasty but the mac and cheese left something to be desired. I love the fresh agave lemonade and ice tea though, so would stop here again if I was in the area and needed a quick healthy meal but would skip the mac and cheese, the price for the portion size and flavor just didn't do it for me and my daughter didn't even end up eating it. This is my first visit to this Panera Bread location. It seemed relatively clean, and the venue was quiet and peaceful at mid-morning. I was in the mood for something new, so I decided to try the BLT sandwich. The BLT turned out to be completely delicious. It was also almost ludicrously overpriced... The staff was friendly and unobtrusive; I almost felt like I was visiting a library while I was here. All things considered, I'll continue to visit this Panera location when I find myself in the area, but I don't think the BLT is good enough to merit its very hefty price tag. read more

Stopped by here for lunch after a long local hike w/ our pup. Jeff helped me w/ our dine-in order, and I am grateful for his kindness. (I have also worked in food service & really appreciate the people who have to stand on their feet for long periods of time while assisting customers with their orders). Tried the New Zesty Tuscan Asiago Bagel Stack as part of the "You Pick Two," along with the Southwestern Chicken Ranch salad. The food came out fast, and now all I want to eat at Panera is this exact combo &/or def. the bagel stack item. Yay for a new item that hits all the mark for both taste and satiety. Jonathan (Manager) invited me back to try out this location again and I did that today during the lunch hour. Everything was perfect this time around. The service was top notch and I really enjoyed the chicken bacon rancher sandwich. The focaccia bread was perfectly toasted and the flavor was great. My hot caramel latte was just the way it is supposed to be. I am really impressed by how the Panera team handled this issue and with the improvements made in such a short time. Came here for a late lunch with a friend. We were here on Tuesday at approximately 3:15 pm and noticed a large group of high school students dropping in after school. It's a great place after school to grab a snack and use the free wifi the restaurant provides. It did get a little loud, but the students were well mannered and respectful of other patrons. Tip: If you visit and wish for a quieter experience, you may want to visit earlier, before 2:30 pm or later, after 4:30 pm weekdays. I ordered the "Pick Two" option. My order consisted of a half a sandwich (Bacon Turkey Bravo), half a salad (Caesar without Chicken) a 1/4 portion French baguette and a medium coffee. In the past, we used to be able to choose the type of bread we wanted with the sandwich, but I was given no option. We also used to have the option of receiving a choice of sides, an apple, a bag of chips or a French baguette, I was not given a choice for the side as well. For this reason, I deducted a star. My Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich, was delicious. Just the right amount of turkey, cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato. The turkey had a smoked taste and all the other ingredients balanced the flavor of the sandwich well. The Caesar salad was a half sized serving. The taste was adequate, but you may want to ask for the dressing on the side. Some people like to have more dressing and others may like to have less. Asking for the dressing on the side may give you a better idea of how much flavor you want on your salad. If you need more, you ask for more and if you need less, you can cut back on the amount. All in all, the food was good. I always love the coffee at Panera and I usually love to take my time enjoying every sip. You have a couple of choices to choose from, decaf or extra strength. You also have the choice of milk and sweetner. If you're like me and like to take a cup to go when you leave, request a "to go" cup when you place your order and you'll be all set. Every now and then, I just like to go to Panera for a cup of coffee and a baked good. This is my neighborhood Panera Bread, i love the location and cozy outdoor patio with a fireplace (not sure if that works, i have never seen it lit). Its located inside the shopping plaza next to Orange Theory. If you a coffee lover, their coffee club is definitely worth it. For $8.99 per month you get unlimited coffee or tea. I usually visit Panera during breakfast and i highly recommend trying their breakfast egg soufflés, the other eggs sandwiches are great as well. We asked for utensils and the ones they gave us had food particles stuck to it and it looked like it was obviously used but never washed or at least not thoroughly enough. This is a great location...the only problem I have with it is that the order yourself monitors are always out of order. So there was 1 monitor and a long line to order with a human so we waited about 15 minutes until this young guy was done ordering. Other than that everything is good at this location. Wish the older gentleman employee that always works the front looked more approachable. Everytime you come in he looks at you with huge eyes like you're in trouble. I'm not a huge fan of Panera, because it's a little overpriced. My boss loves it though, so I end up eating it from time to time. I must say, this is one of the nicer locations. I was using my free birthday treat, and I picked a cinnamon roll. Since I had another reward on my account, I picked a pecan roll too. I got them to go, and we are them the next day .They both tasted great, especially the pecan roll. It had a pile of pecan halves on top, that had the glaze on them. So good! This location has the iPad ordering stations up front, for peak times. I always seem to come in at odd times, so it's never an issue. They are a great way to customise your order, though, and make sure it's exactly the way you want it. Maybe I'll actually buy something next time, LOL. read more

Came here late at night, about 30 min before close. We had to wait a while to be noticed as the employee who was working the register was cleaning up. After the initial rough start things went along smoothly. The restaurant was so quiet, it was like we had the place to ourselves. Our food was served quickly and correctly. Food was tasty. My incubator group meets weekly but chose not to go to our original location in PB and instead decided to meet at the Panera Bread in Solana Beach. There was a lot more space for laptops here but unfortunately the WiFi is always really slow. However, the convenience of the location and the beautiful day assured us that this was the right play for the gathering. Between discussions in the group, I decided to order some lunch. I settled on their "You Pick 2" deal and ordered a half turkey sandwich with a half Greek salad with an iced green tea. The turkey sandwich and salad were sort of boring and I immediately wished that I had stuck with my usual soup in a bread bowl. The iced tea however, is always refreshing an the unlimited refills justifies the otherwise lofty price tag of $2.99 for the small cup. This was the first time I had been back to Panera since discovering Starbucks' fast WiFi and haven't looked back since. It is fine for holding team meetings but the Internet speed makes it really difficult to get anything done.
