Overall I'd rate my experience 3.5 stars but the very attentive customer service justifies the 4 stars. This is a smaller Burger Lounge location nestled in the busy Via De La Valle shopping complex. There's a large, shared parking lot but when busy, you'll have to wait to find parking. They have a very small indoor dining area of maybe 4 tables and a larger outdoor area with about 6-8 tables. Only one bathroom. I have to give props to the young men who were working on Memorial Day. Despite being busy, they were working hard with a smile on their face. They were getting the food out as fast as they could and were even so kind to offer to take our trays when we were done. The food was tasty and fresh. The kids meal is totally worth it. For $9, it comes with an entree, fries, drink, and scoop of ice cream. But to be frank, all the other burgers are overpriced especially for the size, averaging $13-17. I got the lounge combo for $12 which came with a burger, fries, and drink but the burger and fries were so small I was still hungry. Good food but for the price and portions, this wouldn't be a regular spot for me. read more

Ignored, mocked, and treated differently -- unacceptable experience. I've never been to this Burger Lounge before. I walked in because the door was wide open and there were two employees inside. One was behind the counter (I believe his name was Brody, with slightly longer hair), and the other was sitting at a nearby table playing music loudly on a speaker. I stood at the counter for several minutes -- easily 5+ -- and was completely ignored. Brody was standing there the entire time and actively avoided making eye contact, pretending not to see me. No greeting, no acknowledgment, not even a simple "we're not open yet." Basic professionalism would have gone a long way. When I finally walked out, I turned back and suddenly Brody had no problem making eye contact and staring at me. Shortly after, I could hear him speaking negatively about me to the other employee, claiming I gave him a "dirty look." That was frankly immature. I went back in and calmly told him I heard what he said. Instead of responding professionally, he mocked me by repeatedly putting his hand to his ear and saying "I can't hear you." This happened multiple times. It was childish and disrespectful. What made the situation worse: two male customers walked in shortly after me, and they were immediately acknowledged and helped -- despite it still being before opening hours. When I re-entered, Brody disappeared into the back. The other employee then told me they were closed and I couldn't order -- yet the two men were still being served. The inconsistency in how I was treated compared to others was very noticeable and concerning. I ended up going next door to Milton's, where the service was excellent from start to finish -- friendly, attentive, and professional. And I went with the appetizer and entrée they recommended and it was fabulous! The Reuben and pastrami or corn beef was amazing at Milton's next-door. I also ordered food from Flower Child next-door the day before, and the food was healthy and extraordinary. I would strongly encourage management to look into this. This is by far the cleanest burger I've ate to date. For less the price you'll spend across the street at McDonald's you minus well make your way to other side of the street and visit this friendly establishment. Service with a smile and great attitude for good and inexpensive food makes the trip and extra effort worth it. If they would only open one in DTLA they would put 5 guys out of business. My nephews love this place and I gotta say the kids meal is pretty worth it. You get a main, fries, a drink and a little ice cream cup. The ingredients are fresh and you can get a turkey burger if beef isn't your style. The servers were friendly and helpful. Food came out quickly and accurately. They let you pick up your ice cream after so it doesn't sit there melting while you eat lunch. The tables outside are nice, there are only a few shaded tables but overall clean. We were here on a vacation and I was very excited to have dinner here...Unfortunately nothing was as it used to be. What made the visit truly memorable was the exceptional service from a young employee (looked about 17-18, super polite young man). He not only brought my food out to the table (unexpected bonus for counter service!), but when he saw my dog, he immediately offered to bring a water bowl - and did! Disappointing Burger Joint Lounge? Says it all if you don't mind lounging around for a good while around 6 on a Tuesday night. 31 minutes to get my order!!! Several customers had the same issue. Claimed they got slammed. Would be fine maybe if the burger was worth the wait. It wasn't.... (Sign up front says they are paying 19+ an hour, so maybe it's a staffing issue...) Lounge Burger. Dynamically changing wait time based on how slammed they are. Expect up to half an hour to more before you get it. Was not very hot as one might expect for dining in. Sauce was tasty though, sweet creaminess going well with some of the salt in the meat. Sadly, not much of a flavor profile on this grass fed patty. Too lean, lacking that savory fatty flavor you might get from, say, Shake Shack, which is the same style of smash burger. Let's face it: smashing a lean beef patty isn't the best concept for obvious reasons. Patty was dry (ugh) and lacking. Thank goodness I had tomatoes to juice it up. The only thing the burger had going for it was the wheat colored bun with its toasted inside, which had a nice sweet crunch to it. Now if only everything in the middle was up to par. Don't recommend. Not worth the money. Overall, just okay. Hence, 3 stars. Not worth a Michelin drive, so they might say. Sadly, won't be coming back. But the Mexican Coke was great though. read more

love burger lounge in general...just not this particular location. always a ton of employees standing talking with all of the tables dirty. my last two orders have been a sad experience. first one, I ordered a turkey burger, took a bite and the middle was completely raw pink. was in a hurry and so didn't have time to wait for a new one and the rest of my family was busy eating their food and manager seemed to yell at the cook for it, but not offer me a gift card or anything for the wasted entree. tonight, I stayed away from the turkey burger and ordered the chicken club...it arrived missing half the toppings (eg, cheese, bacon etc). when I brought it back, the manager made me furnish my receipt to prove I deserved all of the toppings when the teenager that took my order and tip was standing right next to him silent. again, my sandwich had to be remade while the rest of my family ate and my side salad went along for the ride of the remake and sat under a heat lamp and returned wilted and inedible. i just threw it away without complaining as I can only be "maam'd" once per meal and I give up. made the family promise we are done with this location. i left hungry and feeling old by the sheer number of times I was called maam in a condescending way while trying to secure the sandwich I ordered and paid for. btw, the lady at the table next to me ordered a mushroom burger and it arrived missing the mushrooms and she politely asked for them and the same teenager actually brought a knife over and lifted the cheese on her plate to make sure they weren't hiding under it before he would believe her and bring her a small paper cup full of mushrooms to add to her burger. she was "maam'd" too.... final thought: maybe remove the tipping option of 28% if you're gonna serve people wrong items and then paw at their food to prove it before you make it right. Came here with a colleague on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 after work for the first time. Burger Lounge is a fast casual restaurant chain that specializes in hamburgers made from American grass-fed beef, salads, shakes, French fries and onion rings. My colleague ordered a mushroom burger while I opted for a "Seasonal Harvest" salad with chicken. I specifically asked for no croutons or cranberries. They brought out the salad in a plastic container (even though we were dining in) and it came with cranberries. I let the staff member know and he was was happy to get it re-made to my liking (which I appreciated and kept me from leaving a 1-star review), however, I just couldn't justify paying $20 for a salad they skimped on the greens and chicken. Hence, the 3 stars. For a fast casual, this place is okay. Nothing special. The prices are a bit outrageous for fast causal. I'm sure the burgers are good, but I'd probably go for an In-N-Out burger if I was craving a burger. read more

We were passing through our travel and decided to try this place. Food was really fresh tasting and delicious. Love that they give ice cream with the kids meal. Also I have a vegetarian daughter and super happy we were able to accommodate the whole family with choosing this place that has plant based options.
